Would be hard to beat at the price. Everything was scrupulously clean, our two queen beds were soft and comfortable with a plethora of very nice pillows. The pool was pleasant (and kid-friendly with a max depth of 4 feet). The continental breakfast was weak aside from the the 'make your own waffles' station, but there's a diner in the parking lot and a 7-11 across the street, so not a big deal.
Overall, it was a pleasant, quiet experience and we'll definitely be back for next year's trip to Gilroy Gardens. -

Last weekend we took the grandparents to Gilroy for a little shopping and stayed at the Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn. Both rooms were very clean dbl beds @ $99/night & free wi-fi. The complex has a gym & pool, complementary breakfast (cereal, bacon, scramble eggs, self-service waffles, etc).
The staff was very friendly and Yelp advertisers. Mention you saw the welcome ad on Yelp and you'll get a complementary gift (bottle water, pretzels, energy bar).
We had a very restful night and for our next trip to Gilroy gardens and some outlet shopping - we'll be back. Thanks again to the staff at BW+Forest park Inn. -

Its what you would expect out of a Best Western. Maybe even a step up from your normal shithole Best Westerns. Thats why it's got a plus.
The Good:
Free Wifi
Soft, adequate beds
Whirpool Tubs
Fridge
Microwave
Pool and Sauna
Proximity to Gilroy Gardens and other restaurants and amenities
Proximity to Freeway
I liked the pillows and thats a big thing to me
Elevator: A necessity for multiple floor hotels
The Bad:
Usual bad and gross continental breakfast associated with low scale hotels
The channels on the TV were scrambled/fuzzy. All the locals and HBO were useless.
Lack of outlets in the room, even for lamps that just were staged and were unusable
Lack of staff for such a large hotel
The Meh:
Fireplace
Balcony -

Room was very clean, nice size, and very quiet. Had free WiFi, a microwave and refrigerator in room.
Pool was small but clean and I believe was no deeper than 4ft or so at the deep end.
Included in the stay was free breakfast each morning. It was fine (good, considering it was free). Make your own waffles, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, etc.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful on the few occasions I needed assistance.
Location was good, close to pretty much anything you need. Stayed here to visit the Gilroy Gardens which was about 10 mins away. The outlet stores were close by, 711 across the street on one side and Chevy's across the street on the other, liquor store around the corner along with various other businesses up and down the street.
I may have gotten some sort of deal for a 3-day, midweek stay, but I felt that this was a good experience for what I paid. If I came back to visit this area I would definitely consider this place again.
Only real complaint I can find is that the ice makers weren't working on the entire 2nd floor of the building I was staying in. Had to keep going downstairs....not sure what was up with that, but it wasn't the end of the world. -

Pretty rooms, nice staff, nice pool, close to outlets and Gilroy Gardens, will stay here again.
7-11 across the street, connected by parking lot to Bear Diner, Chevy's across the street, 3 miles from Gilroy Gardens, arounf the corner from the Costco. This is like staying at someones nice condo!!!! -

I tried to book a room on a non-busy weekend...(would not even attempt for Garlic Festival weekend!!!)...
the front desk person was absolutely horrible.
As soon as I mentioned that I had a gift certificate for a free night stay which I won in an auction(actually I paid way more than I should have!)for the March of Dimes, she gave a sarcastic laugh and said all I have available is a room with a fireplace and I am sure your certificate does not cover that!!!
I asked her to speak to a manager or have one call me back and she refused!
Not the type of person you want representing your establishment!! -

Very nice room, comfortable bed, free strong wifi, quiet and clean. Had a very restful night there.
If you are willing to buy your breakfast rather than do the free meal offered, I'd highly recommend the Bear Diner across the parking lot. Really good food at very reasonable prices. -

Overpriced and underwhelming....
Was in Gilroy for a wedding and most of the attendees were staying here so we stayed here as well.
The room was whatever... nothing extra special except for the flat screen. The air conditioner wasn't even turned on when we got there so it was a million degrees. Try getting ready for a wedding while sweating, gross.. The hallways and elevator were also disgustingly warm. The hotel is very maze like, got lost a few times. The breakfast would have been awful except for the make your own waffles...
I think it goes from a three star to a two star just because the room was so ridiculously over-priced! -

I grew up in Gilroy and never stayed here, until i moved away and came back to visit this year for the Garlic Festival...
I was surprised at how nice this place was! I did get a little lost trying to find my room a couple times, but other than that, it was great. The bed was amazing..i have to say it was the most comfortable hotel bed i have ever slept in, (and i've had my share of hotel's). The flat screen t.v was a nice perk too. I didn't go swimming or try the continental breakfast, but all in all the stay was good and i will come back next time im in Gilroy. -

Great Location, right of the free way. The people at the front desk were friendly and the breakfast buffet was ok. They have a waffle maker but the line for it was crazy.
The rooms were clean. Alittle on the tiny side but overall building condition inside stairs and interior of the elevator was clean and didn't smell.
One suggestion if you can get a room on the third floor. Don't worry they have elevators. We got stuck under a room full of little kids running back and forth all night. The noise was awful.
Nice little restaurant in the same complex. Great food and service! -

Very clean rooms, quiet (even though we were on the first floor next to the pool and laundry room, which I was a little nervous about) and the free breakfast was pretty good. Cheerful, friendly staff. Nice soft pillows, which is a big deal to me! The room was updated and we got a great deal, so overall we were very happy.

The room is clean and quiet, and relatively modern looking. The price is good and free breakfast is a plus. The pool is clean. Walking distance to a couple of dining options. I would give it 3.5 stars overall.

Stayed for two nights. The amenities include: free WiFi, small fridge in the room, hot tub, sauna, pool, fitness room, etc. Breakfast was nice... boiled and powdered-scrabbled eggs, sausages (only during the weekend?) and pastries. The microwave was available at the breakfast area for use at night to heat up any leftover take home. The pool was supposed to be heated but the water was still cold. The hot tub was warm but the bubble-jets didn't work. The rooms were large and clean. My kids love the soft pillow top beds but they were a little too soft for back-support for me...I paid for it with lower back pains when we got home. The motel was close to many eateries, 7-eleven and of course... the factory outlet stores. Nice place to stay for shopping, rest, eating, the Garlic festival or even a day at the beach in Santa Cruz!
