8 reviews for Best Western Las Brisas Hotel
Pretty decent. We had a first floor room right next to the pool, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room (two doubles) and the flat screen TV. Drawbacks: our shower was really noisy, we heard traffic from outside the room in the morning, which wasn't uber pleasant, and I didn't like how we had to go to the front desk to get towels for the pool. On that note, overall service was a little questionable. I really enjoyed lounging by the pool and the hot tub, though, and you can't beat the location in downtown Palm Springs.
Also, the hot breakfast is pretty mediocre - the made to order omelet is tasteless and the waffle is not firm/crispy enough although the strawberry topping is good. I did appreciate the standard cereal bar, coffee, juices, oatmeal, danishes, and bread offerings, though.
I was actually surprised that a Best western hotel could be this clean. We decided to head to palm springs super last minute. Every other spa/hotel was booked that firday bc of the holiday weekend so we decided to stay at The brisas. The room was big and clean. I was bit dissatisfied that we were facing the "apartment" lined street, but we were on the 2nd floor so it was okay.
We saw some stuff about to go down (lewd and indecent acts) inside the garbage can area so we decided to call the front desk. Within minutes the security guard removed the two perpretators. haha
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed was very spacious and comfy. Pretty big plasma in there. Rates were very affordable. Pool is not that big but big enough to chill and cool off in because it gets HOT! They have a bar in the pool area that also serves appetizers. We got a complimentary breakfast with a choice of omelet or waffle. The omelet was pretty good.
The 2 stars I gave this hotel are mostly for the pool area. The hotel room was described as "King poolview room with refrigerator". The pool ended up being barely within view of the room. The room was on the 2nd floor.
Pros:
-Decent pool area with a poolside bar
-The pool got sun all morning and afternoon (late May)
-Bathroom looked nice with granite countertops and plenty of mirrors
-Lush landscaping, lots of flowers (late May)
Cons:
-Giant cockroach hanging out in the shower area
-Room was dark, little natural light
-Thug repeatedly knocking on door at 1:30 am (scary!)
-Thin walls
-Outdoor hallway carpet stained and smells like urine
-Exterior stucco walls looked dirty
-Room service and breakfast menu not vegan friendly
-Sprinklers soaked my car top to bottom and left nasty hard water stains
-Not enough parking, had to park on the street overnight (on a Saturday)
-The neighborhood seemed rundown with lots of nearby empty weed filled lots. I never saw security at the hotel, but one night I did see 3 police officers ride their bikes through the hotel complex

We picked Best Western Las Brisas Hotel at Palm Springs for a last minute vacation around new years. The place received three stars on Yelp but had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Since we had few options given the short notice and wanted a place within walking distance of downtown, we felt this hotel would be the right fit.
The location of the hotel was very good -- though not directly on the main strip, it was a 5-min walk to the central area. The pool area/patio was pretty nice and we saw a lot of people hanging out there. However, I was not impressed with the room. It had a motel like feel with the rooms sharing a common balcony. Anybody passing by could take a peek. Instead of providing small bottles of toiletries, they had a soap/shampoo dispenser in the bathroom, which was not labeled. That made it hard to tell what was what. I think I ended up using body wash on my hair..eeks! Their wi-fi access was terrible -- firstly, they provided no clear instructions, secondly, the connection was weak and didn't work most of the time. I had to call up their tech support several times for help. They had a HD TV but no HD programming and the TV settings were off. On the bright side, the bed was nice a comfy and the crib we requested, decent. However, I'll try to find a better place next time!
its so easy to get lost in this place. they don't have any good channels on tv (and i don't even like tv) and the free brunch is the worst thing i've ever had (and i didn't really have any of it). palm spring is weird.

We got great value for the money. The hotel was clean and surprisingly quiet given that they sold out the two nights we stayed. The bed was comfy and provided a good night's rest. The breakfast is what it is. BW was about $25 more than we paid down the road at Travelodge, but worlds better and in a great, great location. Will definitely consider staying here again. Pets welcome, too, for a fee ($35 first night, $15 each addt'l night, if you choose to advertise Fido's presence).
Pretty good location, hotel, outside pool, bar and people. We attended a conference this weekend and this was centrally located. The complimentary breakfasts were good for the hang overs...belgian waffles and omelettes made fresh. First floor room was great since we didn't have to lug all our stuff to high up. Reasonable rates. I would definitely stay there again second to the marriot springs palm desert. Had no idea pets were welcome or else my pups would have came along.
