***I don't know any other patios like this in the Santa Monica/Venice/Marina area so... Go for Drinks. Photos Added
I seem to eat here every time I'm in LA for some reason (the reason is my mom is currently holed up in Marina Del Rey during a remodel) and this is around the corner from her current digs.
The Jamaica Bay Cafe is in the back of a hotel that sits right on the water/beach, and its a killer spot to just hang out and have a few drinks (they have a full bar BTW).
But...
The service aspires to be classy, but way misses the mark (typical LA mid-level hotel). I don't think the people here really care about anything other than what is going on after work. They rarely come to you to ask about refills, or ask if you need anything, even though there is A LOT of staff.
The food is cafe/coffee shop. There are a few nice items, but it's all laden with grease unless you pick the heart healthy stuff. The wraps fall apart, the burgers are average, the salads are ok, nothing special as the dressings are probably out of an SER jar.
Conclusion? If you're in the Marina and want a cheap not so great meal... but a really beautiful view patio to hang out on the water... this is the spot. Bring a book or some friends.
****** I don't know any other patios like this in the Santa Monica/Venice/Marina area so... Go for Drinks. ****** Please let me know if you do... because i'd love a new spot.

A decent enough hotel with a large room. Clean with a decent bed and accomodations. Don't let the "right on the beach" gimmick fool you. It might look nice in their picture, but it is not a beach that most people would care about hanging out at. It is more of a place to sleep at, get up early and get going to your next destination.
But it is close enough to take a quick drive to Venice Beach instead.

Used to eat Sunday brunch here with my family and/or friends and always had a great time. Perfect spot in the Marina. Good food and fairly priced. There's limited indoor seating as well, but your best bet is to sit poolside and enjoy the ocean air.

The food is nothing to rave about, but the pool side location is very nice. There is a indoor cafe and outdoor by the pool. Good size parking lot in front. Cheap easy food with a relaxing vibe in the Marina.
