4 reviews for Best Western Inn of Sedona
I stayed here with my husband and another couple in June. At first I was concerned that it was not in the center of town, but it actually worked out much better than I expected! The lobby was pleasant and very clean and modern. The room (with two queen beds) was comfortable. All the rooms we saw open onto very large communal terraces. The terraces have tables, chairs, and a spectacular view of the red rock mountains/formations surrounding Sedona. Because the hotel is a little higher elevation than the surrounding area, our view was unobstructed. It was absolutely beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset.
The room was large enough for 4 adults to share (and we, as a couple, typically don't share a room, so that means a lot!). The bathroom was partitioned into two sections, so one person could use the sink area and hair dryer while someone else was using the shower/toilet area. It worked really well. The sink and vanity area were very large. The room had lots of outlets, which was important, because we travel with too many laptops, iphones, etc...
We decided to use the hot tub after dinner. They said it closed at 10, but the nice security guard said we could stay until 11pm. It was HOT and the pool was quite cold! It was very nice.
In the morning, we headed to the included breakfast. It was way more than we expected for a 'continental breakfast'. My husband had cereal, muffins, and coffee. I had a delicious fresh-made waffle and fruit. There was a very nice gentleman restocking everything and cleaning up. He made sure we had everything we needed. I was very pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. We went for a morning swim after breakfast. The breakfast area is located directly next to the pool.
We were impressed with this hotel. It was $129 for the four of us. I'd definitely stay here again.

Awesome views of the red rocks from your room (and the terrace in front of your room).
The beds are very comfy. The rooms are decorated well with some nice mounted photos of local scenery. The wi-fi is easy to hook into.
Only minus would be the room's individual cooling/heating unit - pretty noisy.

I don't know what Walt's talking about. I thought this was the best value in town. Then again, I booked on the Best Western website and pre-paid to get one of the cheapest rates available. I think we paid around $130 a night for a terrace room with an awesome view.
I believe all of the rooms at this hotel are terraced, which means you have an awesome, panoramic view of the red rock mountains, which is why 99.9% of people go to Sedona in the first place.
The room itself was spacious, with two queen beds and a very modern, clean bathroom. The only thing that was lacking was storage space. There was this one small closet tucked into the corner of the room and a small bureau that was just big enough to hold the about 37" TV. Otherwise, there was a table/desk that was big enough to hold a laptop and a couple sheets of paper side-by-side. There was definitely room for larger pieces of furniture.
We had good service from the employees. My favorite employee was the guy who worked the breakfast room on the weekend. Yes, you get free breakfast with your stay. They say it's continental, but I'd call it continental plus. In addition to the fresh-made pastries and bagels and bread, along with jelly and peanut butter and butter and syrup, there were hard boiled eggs and whole fresh fruit. They were a bit lacking on the fresh fruit side, but I'd give that up to the location more than anything else. I'm not sure where you'd grow produce in the desert.
The best part, though, were the make-your-own waffles! It was just like being back in the dorms! They had two industrial waffle irons and the batter was ready made for your pouring pleasure. The weekend we were there, the guy said he felt like being crazy and threw some blueberries into the batter. YUM. Blueberry belgian waffles are so good.
As for the guy himself, he gives great advice on places to eat in the area. I asked him where the locals go for good cheap eats and had a lot to say. And he was very nice to boot.
This hotel is about a mile away from the "center" of town, but I didn't mind at all. We had a car so we drove the 3 minutes (literally) into town without a problem. Also, the hotel is across the street from the turn off to the airport in the sky - which also has a great view. We saw the other Best Western that Walt was talking about and it just didn't seem to have the same relaxed ambience and awesome view that ours did. Plus, it's a whole lot more expensive.
I would definitely stay at the Best Western Inn of Sedona every time I'm in town. And I do want to go back as soon as I can afford it!

A 3 star hotel at a 4 star price. I stayed there in August for just one night. We were able to get a nice "mountain" facing room with a large common terrace. Nothing fancy at all. But for almost $200 after everything was said and done, I expected a little more. Location Location Location. Blah. Stay at the other Best Western in the east part of town. From that one you can walk the shops and whatnot.
