It's a basic motel, nothing spectacular about it, but what it did, it did well.
1) Check in was quick, easy and friendly.
2) DVD selection for my in-room DVD player was pretty decent (and I'm a semi-movie buff)
3) Room was clean, smelled good and quiet.
Overall a great place to stop in the middle of nowhere.
I received a great rate through their website for Memorial Day weekend. The customer service was excellent and the free water and dates in the lobby was a nice touch. The room was very basic but clean and the bed was comfy. My favorite part: 24-hour pool and hot tub! Usually when I'm on vacation I'm out late so when I get back to the hotel I've missed the pool's closing, so it was great to come back from Fantasy Springs casino (which by the way is a mere 3 miles down the road) at 2 a.m. and hop in the hot tub after walking around all day. Perfect. There is a decent continental breakfast from what I've heard but it only ran until 9:30. When I'm hot-tubbing at 2 a.m. I'm certainly not going to make an early morning breakfast run, so I can't attest to that. Had a great experience overall.
I like Best Westerns. Sure their decor sucks, but it's usually a decent bed with free internet, and that's about all I care about when I'm on the road (that and a hot shower). But when we are the only person in line and the rate mysteriously increases ten dollars as we are talking to the check in clerk? That's just plain annoying. She suggested the AAA discount to appease us, but I was seriously annoyed.

Best basic hotel in the main part of Indio. It's still a dump, but at least they have a 24-hour pool!
