4 reviews for Best Western Humboldt Bay Inn
While our room was clean and everything was well kept up and the staff was very friendly. I don't believe for the price this is the place to stay. The location is not great because it is in between where 101 goes through Eureka. So I guess it is good for easy access, but not good for noise. Our room stayed way too warm the entire time we were there, even with the supplied fan on high and the windows open to the cool air outside. Was a place to sleep, but probably not a place we will return.
Last minute check-in at the hotel. A decent room with tv, shower, and a heater that was really loud. But its a hotel I don't expect much for the price. The continental breakfast was good and they keep it well stocked. We didn't notice the heated pool or game room until before we were checking out but it would've been a nice place to hang out. Friendly staff and even chatted up another guest. Again didn't expect much for the price so I wasn't disappointed.

i stayed here one night, it was fine. it probably cost twice as much as every other hotel in this town (which means $80 instead of $40 -- ha! i love alternative non-nyc reality) and whatever, it was fine enough. it had your typical chain feel but unlike the other hotels i saw in Eureka it couldn't have been a backup set location for No Country for Old Men filming, so good enough. also the breakfast buffet was rather robust for what you usually get and there were heaters by the pool to chill and eat outdoors. kinda nice.
Seriously overpriced for the tiny room, crappy tv, boring breakfast, and uninspired location between the two noisesome corridors of hwy 101. Free wifi and whirlpool were the plusses. Walked to downtown, and seemed to pass about a half dozen sketchy folks, but couldn't tell if they were boozers or meth addicts. Harmless, but weird.
