5 reviews for Best Western Hotel III Tria
Stayed at the Hotel Tria when it was not possible to find a hotel room in Boston that would meet the project's budget. However, a room at this hotel was not cheap. I spent $169 plus $2.50 per day for breakfast.
The hotel gives you a choice of bath soaps at check in. There is a display and the front desk hands the select to you. This was very amusing. The hotel provides bathrobes as well (unexpected for a Best Western) but they are leopard skin patterned. Yet another point of amusement.
Even though it is located in Cambridge it is not close to downtown Boston. It is a $30 plus cab ride to the airport.
However, the hotel is within walking distance of the last T station of the Red Line. It is a 30 minute train ride to South Station which made the commute about 45 minutes all together.
This was the only time that I stayed at this hotel but I took an opportunity to explore the neighborhood. There is an nice park across the street that includes a medium size lake and a walk/jogging path the circles the entire lake. The neighborhood is very residential but there as some enclaves that have store fronts with some interesting looking restaurants. I did not try any of them out but they might be worth exploring.
While this is not the worse hotel I have ever stayed at it is one of most expensive lower quality hotels that I have had the pleasure of staying in. However, I did make the best of the experience and I would stay there again if necessary.

My folks stayed here because of a mess up with the Hotel they were meant to stay in. I thought they were mad -they booked online without knowing that the hotel is at a very busy intersection and is a Best Western.
Well it was pretty cheap and there was parking and the breakfast was pretty damn good for $2.50 each on the tab. The room was clean and decently decorated. Better than I remember BW to be. The room was at the back and not noisy at all. The bathroom while small was clean and there were plenty of towels. Service was friendly. Note to the manager -kill the pop musak at the front door. All in all, 4 stars for better than average considering the price and an honest attempt to provide a decent hotel.

I put my dad up here for Christmas night. My dad is 74 and I wanted to make sure it was decent so I checked in with him and checked the room to make sure I was happy with it. Both of these reviews are right on, I don't have anything new to add. Value is very good for the money... the room was only $107 +tax with my Dad's AAA discount! Clean, priced right and only a couple miles from my A'town neighborhood. I def recommend it if you need to put up family or friends and you live in Arlington/Belmont/Cambridge within a few miles.
Stay here on serveral occasions on my biz trip, location is close to where I need to go. Hotel itself is bit of old and rooms could use some upgrades. Free breakfast isn't much just like any other free breakfasts. However plus side is there's Starbucks in the hotel and a super market across the street. If you got AAA please use it during time of booking.
boston/cambridge is an expensive place for hotels and this is one of the better values. clean, free wireless internet. Starbucks just downstairs and Whole foods just next door. Though a bit away from everything, it is walking distance to the Alewife T-station, and the hotel provides free shuttle service to Harvard Sq.
