In the classical sense, the Best Western is not a 5-star resort, however, I give it 5 stars for its class, which is probably a 3-star hotel.

The room was gigantic, with a king sized bed, desk, and a full couch/sitting area. The bed linens were soft and comfy. The plumbing worked well. The heater worked.  The was ample parking in front of the rooms. The staff was friendly and we checked in/out quickly.  Free wireless Internet.  And as an added bonus, we got free hot breakfast buffet included in our room cost. The buffet was standard fare, but high-quality food.

I would absolutely stay here again or recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in Redding.

The Best Western Hilltop Inn is a fairly typical Best Western though slightly more expensive because of it's near-Shasta location... the rooms were decent but nothing too extraordinary. The bathroom was little with both a sink in the room and right outside. Why two sinks?

We were staying here for a wedding and the free breakfast was PERFECT for nursing our hang-overs. Biscuits, eggs, ketchup, salsa, pancakes, sausages, etc was exactly what we needed. Lots of coffee (and a waitress that loved to keep coming over to our table to refill!) also helped!

I live this place I have stayed here twice in the last month while in town. The staff is super friendly and it's clean! When checking in you get a discount if you have AAA or costco, glad that membership is paying off.  I have brought my sons portable toddlers bed and there is room to set it up without tripping over. They have a great pool area with a couple cabanas in the shade and a foot deep pool for kids.  The continental breakfast is surprisingly nice. More than you basic bagel and donuts. They have a selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and orange juice drink wise. Food wise you have a choice of yogurt, fresh fruit, busquits with gravy, bacon, eggs, sausage, home fries, oatmeal, cereal, muffins and toast.  I plan to stay here more in the future since I have family in the area.

Though simple this is a good place to stay.  The location is great as far proximity to things though if you get a room close to the freeway chances are you won't sleep very well.  The room I had was recently remodeled and they did a nice job. The breakfast included in the room rate is a good value.  I would give this place another star if the road noise wasn't so bad.
