It's not often you read a four-star review of a hotel rated only one star by most travel bureaus but hey, it's an honest representation of the facts. We were here over Thanksgiving and found the rooms clean (and not just by motel, one-star standards but by any lodging standards), well finished and maintained and quiet. Ours was a king balcony room on the second level and were were quite surprised at how spacious the room was and how nice the furniture and amenities were. No knicks or chips in the paint, no scratches on the furniture, no thread-bare patches of carpet or stains on the bedding. Just an all-around cozy budget motel.
I would stay here again and again especially since it seems to be one of the very few places who do not sell out three months in advance of a holiday up here.
I really enjoyed my stay in this motel. There were freshly baked cookies in the lobby when we checked in. The linens and decorations were tastefully done. We stayed in room 170 and it had two queen beds that were quite comfy. Some friends did stay in another room and they said that one of their beds sagged in the middle. It was nice and quiet. We didn't hear anybody else. Check in was a breeze tho the check in staff wasn't the friendliness, just business like. We did not have the breakfast as we wanted to try a restaurant in town. Our friends did have breakfast there and seemed quite pleased. I had no complaints about the motel and booked a room for next year.
