When I had a visitor from out-of-town, I recommended this place. This is another of BW hotel chain... indeed, always a great location... only 2 miles from the San Francisco International Airport. They have a 24-hour FREE shuttle to the airport & to the Bay Area's public transportation system -- the BART, for direct access to the city of San Francisco. They also have free high speed internet access, great service & friendly staff, & much more.... for me, It's always worth it!
They are situated close to restaurants & some shopping centers along El Camino Real, in the Millbrae area.

My family and I have stated here two times and use it for the convenience of someplace to stay before flying out of SFO the next day. It is so convenient. We no longer have the stress of trying to make our flight in time or parking because the Inn takes care of everything. We have a place to park our vehicle while we are gone and a great and dependable shuttle to and from the airport.
This is a very clean and safe place to stay where you get very friendly and caring service.
My story has nothing to do with the hotel but the service of the employees, my buddy's car got locked in parking garage by accident, after the calling this fine establishment and being sent to the right dept. An employee came within 20 minutes and opened the gate and he did not even accept a tip....great staff
I came here when I was looking for my first apartment in California. Everything went off without a hitch. Nothing too memorable, everything was clean and neat just like you would expect. I didn't get any room service or anything so that may have made one less or one more star.
I wasn't here for long periods, but for the periods I was in the room I had everything I needed.
Not bad, but the hotel seems to be a bit older than some other Best Westerns I've stayed at. The staff was pleasant and everything was clean. The pool was too cold for my kids to swim in - and this was in August. We did get a good room rate. Couldn't be easier to get to the airport.
i stayed here for the first time last week... and was pleasantly surprized!
the rooms were clean and neat, the price could not be beat and the staff were very kind and helpful...
i ate at the terrace cafe and again, it was better than i thought it would be... i had a warm beet salad (great!) and pasta with prawns (also great!)..
an example of the kindness of the staff was when i could not finish my pasta and asked for it to be packed up... my waiter said " no, you don't want to ruin the dish... just take it in the plate with the silverware and i will get you a cover to keep it warm" ... which he did... then another waiter asked if i could carry it back or he would gladly walk it over for/with me.... nice...
the motel was quiet, the bed was comfortable, i had a full tummy and slept like a baby until my wake-up call... and they had the taxi i needed right in front of my room and on time... i would stay there again rather than the more expensive hotels i have stayed by the airport... i consider this a real find!
This place rocks! I've stayed here many nights, attending tons of formal to casual banquets here, AND hosted my own 30th birthday here (many years ago). The staff is great, always accommodating, and friendly. The rates are reasonable and the property is beautiful. The food at the Terrace Cafe is excellent. A lot of people don't know this but they grow their own herbs in the center island in front of the restaurant, which they use for their recipes. An extra bonus, El Rancho always give's back to the community of Millbrae. Sales Manager, Gail is the sweetest lady around, she will go the extra mile for you! PS, who ever swims in the pool can be seen through the pool window down in the Palm room, so keep it PG, please!

Scary. I had some corporate housing here for a month when I moved out here, and the "suites" were icky, musty, careworn places. On the way to your efficiency you're likely to encounter lots of people lurking around parked commercial trailers speaking in undertones while they watch you lock your car.
They remodeled extensively after my long stay so maybe it's better now but not for me.

I stayed here on a business trip, and after being given an older room in the back with a faulty router (there's no wi-fi here!!) and close to the really loud and noisy train out back, I asked for another room. The young guy at the front desk was super cool, and swicthed my room pronto. I was happy about that and would stay here again. The new room, was much nicer and quieter. I would ask to stay near the front of the building if booking here.
This hotel has great park-and-fly specials for the San Francisco Airport. With your AAA rate, you pay $129/night and they will keep your car for up to 2 weeks for free.
I recently flew to Rome and took an 11-night cruise. We had to fly out of SFO at 7:00 in the morning, so we drove up here the night before to sleep. The $129 meant we got a nice room, continental breakfast, and a free ride to the airport and free pick up upon our return 13 days later. My car was left in perfect condition. Can't beat that.
We also ate dinner at their onsite restaurant and it was quite good.
I believe it's called Best Western El Rancho (typo on Yelp entry). Try this next time you are flying out of SFO and need to leave your car for an extended time. It's quite a deal.
I have stayed here a few times using their Park and Ride program where they will park your car for up to 2 weeks(I was away 16 days no extra charges) My only problem was the last time I was here they dented my truck bumper a bit. Get here early the parking lots fill up real fast.

My husband and I got married here - I know, at a Best Western Motel - but The Terrace (the name of the restaurant and hall) staff was very accommodating, and Michael, the planner, did a fantastic job. The food here is good, and the hall where we had our reception has this curvy bar which shares its back wall with the pool, and at night the pool is lit, and you can see the water behind the bar, which is just so cheesy and cool I had to get married there (it's also where they filmed one of the scenes of the movie "The Right Stuff" - one of my all-time favorite movies and books). I wanted to hire synchronized swimmers to perform during the reception, but my husband drew the line at getting married at a motel.
I agree that the problem was the last time I was here they dented my truck bumper a bit. Get here early the parking lots fill up real fast.
