Two-story hotel in suburban Columbus, probably a 15 minute drive from downtown. Bed was sagging a lot, but surprisingly did not cause me any backaches. Free continental breakfast was not very good, the only hot food was weak scrambled eggs, little fresh fruit, no yogurt. Some parts of the hallways smelled very strongly of smoke and my room also smelled mildly of smoke and cleaning fluids. The hotel does have some smoking rooms but it was impossible to breathe in some hallways. No DVD player for the TV.

The ground floor room I had was convenient because the sliding glass door opened in front of my parking space. The hotel and neighborhood seemed safe. A previous reviewer mentioned homeless people but I did not encounter any during my stay in June 2009. There are no sidewalks in the area so there is almost no pedestrian traffic. On weekend nights the restaurant turns into a very loud dance club so you might want to ask for rooms away from the restaurant.

One of the side entrance doors did not latch and was constantly open throughout my stay. The room was clean and the hotel was relatively cute and quiet. I believe they also allow pets in some rooms. There is a large grassy field behind the hotel which is a good place to take your pet for a stroll if it is of the strolling variety. There is an indoor pool big enough to do laps in and an outdoor pool which is smaller. Free wireless internet was spotty at times but generally decent.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were thin but not sagging. Free wi-fi with a strong in-room signal. Good value (quality for the price).

Uncool: 1) homeless asking for money in the middle of the night; 2) Receptionist with no sense of direction for those who get lost on Dublin versus Dublin-Granville Rd; and 3) The entry/exit door that slams each time someone comes or goes from the back of the hotel.
