10 reviews for Best Western Casa Grande Inn
Stayed here for 2 nights recently and thought it was a great value for the money. The girls at check in were quick and friendly and the lobby was really nice, even if it was a bit "cowboy" for my taste. My neighbor and I were cracking up at the little art gallery in the back, where some southwestern style paintings were on display. They all had little plaques with the price and the name of the picture, for instance a painting of a single horse was called "Horse" and another one of a prairie was called "Prairie." My favorite though was several horses, called of course "Horses" LOL!
The grounds were really nice, lots of mature trees and flowers. Plenty of parking right outside of our room too. The rooms are a bit old and a little worn but clean and comfortable. Tiny bathroom, small vanity area and horrible lighting but for the rate we had, I can deal with that. The one thing that stood out was that the iron was actually permanently attached to the ironing board by a steel wire! It was a little difficult to maneuver but yeah, not something to really complain about. I tried to use the free wireless internet the first night but couldn't get a connection and when I tried it again the second night, I got connected but then needed user name and password from the front desk so I decided to truly go on vacation and put the laptop away for the rest of the weekend. Coincidentally, our toilet ended up malfunctioning our last morning there, and so did the one in our friend's room next to us.
And lastly, the free breakfast is a nice touch for people with kids but for adults who actually want real food, it's kind of skimpy. Packaged croissants, danish, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, coffee and OJ. The room is VERY tiny and the door almost hits one of the tables so it's a little hard to maneuver around.
It has some little quirks, but I would stay here again for sure.

More than we expected. Friendly service, clean room and for the price, I'm happy that we picked this place to hold us for the night on christmas while visiting my in-laws.
It doesn't look like a cheap motel, that's for sure.
For a less expensive motel, it's highly recommended. The service upon check-in was quick and friendly. There's complementary tea, coffee and newspapers in the south-western themed lobby. There's even a fire place if you're so inclined to settle in.
It's a motel for sure- rooms very basic, a little worn, as are the exterior hallways and staircases. The pool area is nicely kept, and it's fairly quiet - open until 10.
The complimentary breakfast (6-9:30) is actually substantial. Continental, but with everything you need. Attendants make sure that coffee is constantly refilled, etc.
It's also walking distance from a small shopping center with a longs and a coffee shop.
Only gripes: our room smelled a little musty and was missing a refrigerator (other rooms had them).
Ok. we were really plesantly surprised as to this hotel. It was better than I thought. Most BW are some strip mall looking thing..but this one was different. Very nice character. The rooms were a little old but the bed was very comfortable. Our room had a couch as well. It also had a refrigerator and a wet/bar sink. For the price...well worth it. If i ever stay near pismo, I would stay there again

We spent a weekend here and found out the stay pleasantly satisfied. The rate was reasonable, and the room/facilities were very lovely. We still couldn't believe it only cost $60-70 something. Totally convenient for us to go Pismo Beach and SLO within 20 min driving.
This is actually a really solid choice if you need a good motel for a good price. I used to be a local but have since moved down south but when I come back to visit, this is always my first choice.
The property is in the typical California/Spanish style with a nice check-in staff and free cookies in the lobby. Once, there was a booking error made by the motel in which they accidentally gave away my room to another guest but they rectified it immediately with ample apologies.
The rooms are a good size with slightly older furniture. Upgraded and contemporary they are not but if you're looking for that, you're also looking at a $60 price hike for the area. But the beds are comfortable and they are absolutely spotless, which is really what I'm after.
They have a pool and a recreation room as well as a continental breakfast. None of which I have used but judging from all the smiling families around, they seem to have a good reception. Parking is good and the location is great... just a 7 minute drive to the Beach and right near the 101 freeway. I'd like to see a restaurant return to the property. Years ago there was a Lyons and then an Italian place but they have since left. Not a huge problem as there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
Again, price is what drives me to book at this place (if you have a bit more dough, try the Oxford Suites down the road) because it's always a safe bet. Note: Reserve your room early especially if you're planning to visit in the summer or holiday weekends - they get booked pretty quickly.
My fiance and I spent a week here on our last vacation and were pleasantly surprised. The rate was very reasonable, the grounds are lovely, the rooms are clean and large, the staff is friendly, they have a computer you can use to check your e-mail for free and they have a huge comfortable room upstairs in the lobby where you can watch movies they have, read books from their library or play games that they provide. When we arrived, we couldn't believe it was a $70 hotel. It is located right off the freeway and is in a nice area of Arroyo Grande. It was centrally located to everywhere we wanted to visit.
We can't wait to book our next vacation there.
Great hotel, very neat and beautiful hotel. The outside of the building is very appealing and spaced out. The lobby is huge with availible fireplace, internet and meeting rooms. The service was great and responsive. The Pool and hot tub are location within te center of the hotel and gives a very secluded feel when swimming around. The rooms ar kept nice and clean. I just like the hotel all around. Plus the time i stayed, i could not stay the entire duration of my booking. The hotel attendents happily comply with refunding me for the night i missed out on.
You can't beat this place for the price and it's location. My husband and I have stayed here twice and let me tell you, it's a lot more relaxing than camping. We go to ride the dunes and it's so nice to know we have a room to go back to...and a place with a hot tub.
First of all, book on http://Hotels.com during the week and you can stay for $58-$68 a night. At that price you get nice sized rooms, complimentary breakfast every morning (includes oatmeal, fruit, cereal, muffins, scones, toast, coffee, tea, milk, juice and condiments) in a nice separate room above the pool, said pool, hot tub, laundry, and a small gym. None of it is fancy and it could use updating but who cares for the price. It's really close to everything. We really enjoy it there. WE use the hot tub every night and the pool is warm enough to swim in at night too.
Minus 1 star for the god awful smell in the elevators. They have air fresheners that are strong enough for a space 10 times the size.
Ok. We walk into the lobby and there is this guy yelling at a customer on the phone "hey, if you called yesterday and the room was cheaper, then you should have booked it yesterday, today 200 dollar!".. . Luckily, there was a really nice woman working the front desk (poor thing, you know that guy is probably her boss or whatever). Anyway, she was nice. We got the room. Really hot.. air sort of worked. I guess its not usually hot there but whatever, there was a heat wave. Beds weren't great. Just an average hotel. A step above a motel 6.
