We literally found this place on a recommendation from two ladies at Carpinteria State Beach. They said it was reasonably priced when compared to Santa Barbara. The price, location(right next to the freeway), and the small town of Carpinteria, were perfect for our weekend. The hotel is clean, adequately furnished and enhanced by beautiful flowers and lanscaping. It has a small heated pool and an even smaller spa. We were the only people using them so it worked out just fine for us. Our room had two queen beds and was barely big enough for the four of us. However, the two under sixty pounds actually took up more space than the adults(anyone traveling with kids knows how this works). The lady at the desk was knowledgeable and helpful. If you are wondering, people really sit on the bench that faces the front entrance.
