Nice, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel.
Heated pool, with a nice jacuzzi. Beds were very comfortable. Good sized bathroom. Microwave and refrigerator. Free WiFi.
Had a problem with the cable TV which was fixed immediately by the staff
All and all a great stay, would definitely come again.
Place looks ok on paper but just don't get stuck with "Room 127!"
Based on other decent Yelp reviews, my boyfriend and I chose this place for a 1-night stay last Saturday night. We checked in early and our room (127) which overlooked the pool area seemed fine....until 5:29 a.m. when some kind of hideously loud generator noise woke me up. The loud noise was further amplified every 10 minutes with another, LOUDER, generator noise which lasted about 2 minutes each. This continued nonstop for at least an hour. Tired from a late-night show in Santa Cruz, I did not want to make a stink with the front desk or wake up my boyfriend, so I just shoved earplugs into my ears and eventually got back to sleep....
The worse was the next day when I checked out bleary-eyed from my interrupted sleep...'how was your stay?' asked the guy at the front desk asked. When I complained about the noise he chuckled and said, "oh that's the hot-tub pump and heater that goes on at 5:30 am; 'they' were supposed to put a muffler around that thing because of the complaints we got about the noise in room 127" "Next time," he continued, "definitely make sure you don't get room 127!" Uh...next time?? Why stick us with this room in the first place???
No amount of hot coffee or free cookies or Wifi would convince me to stay at a a place that would act so cavalierly towards a guest or would knowingly rent a problem-room for $163/night off season! C'mon!
This is a great place to stay if you need a non fancy schmancy hotel. Its clean, resonably priced and offers everything you need for a no frills hotel. We stayed there when we got our house painted and they even gave us a "locals" discount. A lot of our wedding guests stayed here, and all seemed satisfied.
Very nice hotel. Love the jacuzzi it's huge! Their staff asked if we needed anything, and brought us more towels when they saw all of us "girls weekend out." Close to the mall and the freeways for heading to Santa Cruz. Nice continental breakfast. Would definately stay at again.
Fairly clean, but the front desk staff helpfulness leaves something to be desired. Our daughter spilled water on her bed (a little that made the sheets wet, not the bed). We called and requested some new sheets and were told "We'll see what we can do." WT*? I asked what he meant and he said, "I don't know if we have any." WHAT? I handed the phone to my husband and we ended up getting the sheets. It wasn't like we were asking for a maid to put them on for us. The breakfast buffet was good. But at $165+ a night, it's not really worth it.
