I stayed here a couple of times. The first time back in Feb. I had a spa suite and it was nice. Had a huge tubspa in the room with a fireplace. The room was a nice size. We really enjoyed it.

The next time was just this last weekend. I went up with family so we stayed in a family suite. Two rooms, both a good size. One with a queen bed and the main room had a king. both rooms had a TV, a closet and it's own entrance from outside. The larger king room had the bathroom. All in all it was a good deal for the money and next time we visit we will probably rent this type of room again.

breakfast was a bit disappointing in that they stopped serving at 9:45 and the quality wasn't as good as I remember. I wasn't all that impressed with the adjacent marie calendars either.

Eck eck eck. What do you expect from a Best Western in Eureka? Location is crappy, right next to a shopping mall and industrial businesses. Our room's window was adjacent to the street and at floor level, making the room very loud and bright at night. We even feared someone breaking in the window (it faced the shady industrial side).
Free breakfast shouldn't even be a draw. Relatively expensive for the value.

Overall avoid staying in Eureka!

Yuck, this place is not fun. Being in Eureka, not fun. The walls are paper thin, even turning on the bathroom light woke the kids. So glad we packed a flashlight for our trip so we could use it in the bathroom. The Marie Calendar's is NASTY. Don't waste your money!! Pool was nice, warm and fun for my 7 year old. They also gave him a blow up ball on check in.

This hotel and location made us drive 15 hours with a 1 1/2 year old and 7 year old in the car to reach our destination to avoid another hotel like this.

FAN-TASTIC!!! The location is ideal, a short walk to Rays and a mall, and it's right on the bay. The staff is SUPER nice and accommodating (Shana is the most wonderful person at this establishment. If you need something, she will work her hardest to try to get it to you!). The rooms are top-notch (try the jacuzzi and fireplace room, SO worth it!). The little garden/koi pond/river is beautiful! And to top it all off, Marie Calenders (right there!) does room service! Could you possibly ask for anything better?! I have stayed twice, and they never disappoint!

Best Western in Eureka, comparatively speaking: this is one of the better lodges in town. Marie Calendars, uber-fountains, that "adjacent waterfront beauty", oh how I'll never miss Eureka.

Quality: 3.5 stars
Atmosphere: 3.5 stars
Service: 3 stars
Price: 2.5 stars
Last impression: 3 stars
