We stayed one night at this Best Western.  When you're checking it just park right outside the front door - don't need to hurry since there's enough room for other vehicles to pass.

We paid $142.20 for the night.  It includes 2 full-sized beds.  There's a coffee pot and coffee & tea is available in the room.  Small bathroom - toilet, sink & shower.  Plenty of towels, some soap bars, a tiny thing of lotion.

There's a nice view of the beach if you're on a top floor, I think we were on the 3rd floor.

There's a gift shop on the Lobby level, fireplace.  No Free breakfast, it's $4.

There's Walmart just next door, McDonald's close by, Fred Meyer's grocery/general store, and easy to get to.

This hotel is on the low side of a hill where you park (upper lot) and on the high side of the hill from the beach.  There is a walking bridge that connects the upper parking lot to the 6th floor of the hotel, over the check-in drive-through and lower parking area.  That was kinds neat.  Otherwise, quite a normal hotel experience.  It's clean and good.  They didn't have a continental breakfast.  I thought it was silly that some hotels brag about a continental breakfast when everyone has it.  Not so, this hotel doesn't include (free) breakfast.

I hesitate to tell anyone about this place because I don't want it to get too popular.  I am used to staying in crusty motels for a hundred bucks on the Oregon Coast, and just dealing with it.  The quest for a nice hotel with an ocean view for $130 has ended.  It is clean, fairly deluxe, with a hot tub, pool, a tiny fitness room, big rooms, and I'm about to go try the restaurant, even, since I've not seen much positive yelping on Newport restaurants (thought the Thai place (Thai Elephant?) was actually decent.  All we need on this coast is a little sun, but that's God's fault.

Our family stays here every year for a trade convention in October.  They've never changed the venue because, well, everyone loves this place.

The hotel is right on Agate beach and just a short jaunt down the path way.  The beach is clean with a clear view of the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse.

It's modern and clean with gorgeous of the sea and beach.  There is a fitness room and large pool and jacuzzi which is perfect after beach combing in October.  Brrr!

I've never taken our pets but they do have designated floors for pet owners and Fido may join you for a reasonable deposit.

The Starfish Grill on the ground level is a bit overpriced for dinner but they have a 1.99 breakfast menu for kids that is the bomb-diggity.

Lots of parking, too.

The only downside is that it's on the" Wal-Mart end of town" and not the cool waterfront/boardwalk side of town.  It works out well if you have transportation, though.
