At first I was afraid, I was petrified,
The place was kind of large but the shower seemed to hide
But then the mutant cockroaches came out to play
and there was nowhere else to stay
and we just wanted to get away
And so it was -
The Best Value Inn,
although there was a pool the whole place seemed quite grim
We should have changed our place to stop
But we put it down to the town of Blythe
and let's just say we're glad we got out of there alive... la la la la...

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. We did not see cockroaches at all during our stay though every now and then a cricket would make it's way into our room. The place is worn but it is kept quite clean which is one of my top criteria for a place to stay. It is not fancy schmancy but it is an inexpensive place to rest your head for the night if you happen to be passing through Blythe. The owner and his wife are friendly and interesting to talk to: they shared helpful travel tips for the area with us. The location is handy as you can skip over the continental breakfast(typical fare and pretty decent) and walk over to Courtesy for a good old fashioned diner breakfast.
