Typical best buy. This one is overcrowded with snowbirds in the winter months.

This not a good Best Buy. It is always extremely overcrowded and the place is a mess. Completely understaffed - try getting some help (even if you have come in to purchase a high end home theater system) and you will be in for a LONG wait. If you actually do get someone to help you, good luck on their knowledge of technology, aside from the fact that they will guide you directly to the most expensive options and say there is no comparison. They are often out of products they claim to have in stock. The place is just chaos. Avoid this particular store.

Went to this Best Buy to check out TVs as my boyfriend and I are looking for a new 47 incher for our living room. We've been torn about getting an LCD versus the newfangled LED-LCD, so I had some questions I was hoping to get answered. There are a number of TVs in our price range and the sales associates really didn't pay much attention to me, maybe because I was a woman shopping for a big TV alone? Who knows. The one guy I did talk to knew less than I did from reading reviews on CNET for like 30 minutes. Seriously, an employee in this department should know the merchandise inside out - a $1000-$2000 investment on a TV is not just a drop in the bucket for most people, and when I'm looking for certain features I expect the sales associate to be able to give me some answers. I just wrote down the model numbers of the TVs I liked so I could do the research on my own at home.
After that I moseyed over to the appliances department as I wanted to see if they would price match a Sears price on a Dyson vacuum cleaner I've had my eye on. There were no sales employees to be found, just warehouse guys coming in and out of the back, so I flagged one of them down and asked them to find me a sales associate. After about 15 minutes of waiting, a sales associate finally appeared. She was really friendly and price matched the vacuum for me with no problem, she just had to call the Sears store to confirm the price.
Overall, I really had a mixed experience and I don't think I would make a big purchase here. The lack of knowledge of the sales associates could easily be remedied by some employee training programs and better supervision by management employees. -

If there is a Best Buy in the area we must stop in. This particular day we were shopping around for appliances. Good selection, many to choose from. Quite taken back with the service we received from an associate though. He came over to ask if we had any questions, and yes we did. OK, I am not one to judge people but seriously this guy had those baggy jeans that came down to his hips, acted so laid back and spoke very slowly. He had no clue what he was talking about.
We inquired on a floor model and asked if it came with any kind of warranty. He said "uh no I do not think so, you have to purchase our warranty". This guy seriously should work somewhere else. He either did way to much partying the night before or this is just how he is.
Forgive me but if I am going to spend serious money this is NOT the kind of person I want to deal with. A shame that one person can leave an impression on a shopping experience but this was my experience.
Needless to say we walked out very disappointed. -

Today was the second time store manager, Joshua Grana has yelled at me, gotten in my face and threatened me.
This afternoon, I placed an order through the website for an in store pick up. I got the e-mail telling me that the product was ready. I went to the store over three hours later and after waiting in line for 10 minutes I was informed that the order wasn't filled and the product needs to be brought up from the computer department.
I wasn't happy since I was informed that it was ready and it clearly wasn't even though hours had past. I asked to speak to a manager. When Joshua showed up I asked if he was a manager. He said he was but didn't have a tag or indicator of his rank and he was wearing the Best Buy, blue shirt that the underlings wear.
When I tried to ask him why my package wasn't ready he stepped closer to me, just a couple inches away and told me to take my merchandise and leave or he would call the Miami-Dade police department and have me arrested. Yet, my merchandise still wasn't even at the counter yet and he never let me finish asking the question.
A few months earlier I had dealings with Joshua, where he tried to sell me a floor model computer for $300 over the original, brand new price.
Furthermore, almost every employee in the store has an attitude problem. One time I went into the store, prepared to buy a big screen TV. I knew the model I wanted but when I looked, they had another TV, same Make but different model, for the same price. It took ten minutes to track someone down and to asked for info on the other TV. He told me to look it up on-line.
I highly recommend driving to Pembroke Pines or Ft, Lauderdale. This store is horrible and you will only ruin your day.Listed in: Places to avoid

I have to admit I am not a fan of big box stores out of principle. That's why I will not give this store more than three stars (remember that 3 is still A-OK).
I went there today and it was a mad house. The huge store was packed and there were dozens of people for every one sales person in the computer section. I was very impressed about how well everyone handled the pressure and I heard the staff helping people in at least four languages. The guy in the printer ink section was particularly friendly and super helpful!
Best Buy is what it is...a huge store that sells the most popular (not necessarily the best) electronics at affordable prices.
This Best Buy is far superior to the one on Federal Hwy. in Ft. Lauderdale. Next time I want big names electronics, I'll drive south instead of north. -

This location has been my "neighborhood electronics store" for the past six years. I am giving it two stars because they typically have good financing options for Best Buy cardholders (making it easier to purchase that appliance that just crapped out all of a sudden, or upgrade your TV, over a period of time, interest free), it fits the bill when you know what you want., and they also price match. However, I would give it zero stars, if that was possible, for customer service... which is absolutely terrible. This store is usually packed and there are never enough people on the floor to help. The sales people are not knowledgeable.
My experience there tonight prompted me to write this review. We bought a surround sound system there last week (again, no one helped us, we made our selection based on customer reviews online and such) but decided to return it. Upon entering the store with this giant box, we were directed to the customer service desk. Waited in line there for a few minutes, only to be directed to the back of the store (no specific instructions where to go). Went back to the counter where we purchased the thing in the first place (makes sense. right?), waited around for someone to come back to the counter, finally told that we needed to go to the home theatre area. Again, with our giant box in tow, we stand right in front of the counter where two employees are happily chatting away. Surely, they saw us. We are staring at them. They continue to talk. I start b*tching. They are not paying attention whatsoever. Finally, the one sales person looks at us as if we have just walked up (elapsed time, 5+ minutes at this point) and innocently asks, "Have you been helped?" Seriously? I manage to keep my cool but then apparently we have to wait for the manager for authorization. One of the chatty sales people is new, and quite ditzy. We have already given them the receipt, and when the manager finally saunters over, he asks, "When did you buy it?" Seriously? You have the receipt right in front of you! Thankfully patient boyfriend handles their incompetency while I BBM my friend about how terrible the service is, and how annoyed I am at said boyfriend for taking so long to buy this thing in the first place, and then return it a week later.
Unfortunately, since the demise of Circuit City, there really aren't many other options for purchasing electronics, other than BrandSmart which is another giant clusterf*ck, but with less options for financing. -

pricing aside (your pricing is not that good) your store is staffed by people who specialize in "chilling" that means you have most of your employees hanging out in groups , who are not helping customers! many probably have no product knowledge anyway! (and I doubt they really care to help) nobody, zero, zilche are working in appliances! the parking lot is cramped and jammed! so, bottom line I will be avoiding your store!

This is one of my favorite Best Buys I have been. Very easy to get parking and staff is very reliable. Store is clean and always good stock. Most important for me, all the new gadgets are here at launch time...

Don't go to this store if you want to stay happy. A week ago, after entering this store going right to a customer service person and telling them what I wanted, they still passed me to CS people that couldn't or wouldn't help me. Finally, I bought a 55" Sony LCD TV there with free delivery. I live a mile from the store. The delivery date was set as Tuesday. The delivery guy called at 4:30 that afternoon and said he'd be at my place in 15 minutes. He NEVER showed up. No phone call, nothing. I called the store Wednesday and after being passed around several times I ended up with Jennifer in the Magnolia Home Theater section. She said the order had been CANCELLED! No, I said I didn't cancel but when can I have it delivered? Saturday or Monday. I said OK to Saturday, but now I'm thinking, no, bump someone else and deliver my TV ASAP! They screwed up, they should fix it. Stay away from this place, even if you know what you want. Lazy CS = no business from me.
