I tend to loathe Best Buy but I have had some good interactions with the employees here and have seen some decently priced stuff.

I just don't like huge stores... I hate wasting a lot of time and like to be in and out. So, I usually just do in-store pickup and this process is always rather fast at this store.

Weird you'd think they would want to sell you a $700 TV...nope they would rather stand around and watch the football game and feel insulted when you ask if something is in stock.

The only reason I even go to best buy is because they are dumb enough to honor my phone's barcode scanner no matter how ludicrously low it costs "elsewhere"

Big store with lots of stuff. That said, a blue shirt dude tried to sell me an expensive HDMI cable. I'm nerdy enough to know that you don't need a $50 cable, much less a $100 cable. My $6 cable from the internet will be A-OK.

The store was fine, though. My only real complaint had to do with my fellow shoppers. Someone cut in front of me in line and the guy behind me basically herded me to the single cashier. Ugh. People.

It's funny when you hear horror stories from friends about a certain brand...then you have a completely different experience. This is true for me and Best Buy. Now...I've heard nasty customer service stories about the Best Buy brand, but nothing directly about this location and I've only had great experiences here.

I've made small (phone chargers, video games) and large purchases (flat screens) here. Each time I'm in the store I've been greeted by a very knowledgeable and friendly employee who has assisted me with all questions I had about a specific item. Their employees are truly experts when it comes to the products they sell. I feel very comfortable making a purchase here knowing that I made the right decision when i came to quality and price.

Bonus...where they are located within the Edgewood Retail District...parking in front is usually pretty good. Score!

Overall...great store full of all the electronics you can possibly think of. Go check them out!

I have demoted Best Buy to two stars because they have a  warranty policy that can be @ best be described as "decent".....on it's worst day....uh, I would call it "FOUL".

Yeah, I would call it smelly Foul... like smelly cat..smelly trash...smelly fish...okay enough already, but you get it...Their warranty policy seems to reek of dishonesty, and it is completely unreliable. The warranty only seems to be applicable when BEST BUY decides that its a problem that should be covered by the warranty.  In fact, on two different occasions,  I purchased an extended  warranty; and  unfortunately, with both purchases, they determined that neither problem was covered.

And no, neither item was damaged...they had simple internal problems with electronics as always happens..

Oh well, it is what it is....Foul, Foul, and more Foul!
But, I have now learned my lesson; and from now, I will go directly to the Apple store for any Ipods, Iphones etc. Lesson learned and no more smelly deals...thank you very much!

Yes, I think Best Buy is as good as it gets and here's why!  #1 years ago, I used to work at Best Buy - fantastic fun company to work for, plus the employee discount was AWESOME, so good that I almost want to work there around the holiday season!

#2 the sales associates at Best Buy are not paid on commission, yes, they have goals, but there is no commission, so I don't feel like I'm being harassed to buy something every time I go in there. I can simply stroll around the store looking at gadgets & walk out with out feeling pressured.

#3 the staff at this location was super kind.  I went into Best Buy looking for Google TV because it had dropped in price & I was thinking about buying it.  I walked in, was greeted by LP at the front door & also by a guy in the home theater department.  He asked what I was looking for, I explained & then he took me directly to the Sony (Google) TV that I wanted.  I ended up finding the size that I wanted, paid for it & was then just going to pick the box up & carry it to my car when he said wait, just show the guy at the front your receipt & we'll put it in the car for you.  I run out to get my car & pull it up to the front of the store when LP walks out laughing, he's like you do you really think this size tv is going to fit in the trunk of your car.  Needless to say they helped me move some stuff around & we were able to fit it in the back seat!

The Geek Squad is really AMAZING! my experience with them was wonderful, because they all seemed to actually care.

They fixed my dilapidated computer. (They really know their stuff.)
They clearly explained everything to me. (They really knew how to explain the issue clearly.)
They backed up all my files for me just in case. (They saved my life.)
They helped me get back online virus-free. (They are why I'm back on Yelp.)

Saved me lots of money. I would have resorted to purchasing a new computer if they didn't save the day. Trust these guys, they really know their stuff.

I had another good experience at Best Buy recently, this time with the automotive department. My fourth iPod adaptor broke, so I decided to make some more permanent updates to my car that would allow me to listen to my iPod--and at a more high-quality level.

A guy name Christian spent about an hour explaining my options to me, and I decided to purchase a Pioneer iPod player that also includes a radio and CD player. iPod hook-ups include USB and auxiliary ports--I'm totally geeked that I can peruse my playlists and artists on the digital Pioneer screen, doing away with the dangerous double-tasking of driving and messing with my iPod. I can even play music from a Flash drive!

I ended up getting a new pair of Pioneer speakers, too, since if I reached $300 in installation costs, I'd get $100 off. I essentially got a nice pair of speakers for around $20. BUT, to get the discounted package price, I had to pay for everything prior to the installation, which made me a little nauseated.

Lou, the guy who performed the installation, was super-nice and patiently showed me how to use my toy's new interface.

Now that I can listen to my iPod at CD quality, avoiding the scratchiness of a radio transmitter, I can comfortably drive my little Honda for several more years.

    Horrible customer service.

Been trying for 30 minutes now to make an apt for a stereo installation.  Trying option 3 for Sales Associate and option 4 for Geek Squad.  No one answers either line.  I literally started calling at 12:00 and it is now 12:25 and still no answer.

Best buy has gained notoriety for terrible customer service and I will be the first to say I have experienced this at any best buy.

However when I went in to look for a new camera their attendant was super helpful and not pushy at all. I got a great deal on a new camera ans was really happy with the management when I went back to pick up a lens that wasn't in stock when I was in the store.

I also had a stereo installed here and the auto dept did a GREAT job installing a great stereo that I bought there.

Most best buys suck for customer service, but I felt like I had to give this one its props

I do a lot of shopping at Best Buy stores, and other technology stores, and I find this location to be the best.

The Manager (B.J.) has helped me several times in resolving questions or problems I was having, which has been a huge help in the cell phone department.

Nick in the TV/Stereo department has also be a real help in resolving question I had about setting up my (way too) complicated entertainment system and I always go to him first if I'm looking to buy something.

The usual down sides of any big box store apply, such as when they get crowded it can be hard to find help, and sometime the help you find isn't actually all the helpful, but most of the time that is not a problem at this store.

The only real negative is that sometimes (mostly on the weekends) they switch the check out to the returns desk, which is also doing returns, and it causes a lot of confusion among the customers and really SLOWS down the check out process..

I just don't get the training situation at Best Buy stores. they're all just different degrees of awful - and they used to be good. with the flap over corporate donations I'm going to look on the Internet at other locations for electronics, whenever possible.

I blew-up our 1979 washer/dryer combo last week. My Husband says I broke it. I think we're lucky it lived as long as it did. I mean, it was installed before either of us were born!

Well, today we reluctantly made our way to Best Buy after shopping around online and realizing they had the best deal. As soon as we entered the appliances section we were approached by Will Anderson. He was personable, sincere, but most of all helpful. He directed us toward a washer & dryer that floor models were on clearance. They were exactly what we were looking for, and the price was perfect ($750 off original purchase price, can't beat that). He walked us through applying for a "18-month no interest credit card," purchasing a warranty for our new washer/dryer, picking out an ipod shuffle for my husband, and an ipod cover for my new christmas present....He just went above and beyond our expectations. We expected this big purchase to be stressful. Instead, because of the service he provided, it was uplifting.

If the rest of the employs @ the Edgewood Best Buy are anything like Will, then you really can't go wrong by choosing this Best Buy for all your electronic purchases....

Located in the Edgewood Retail district, this Best Buy is probably the best one in town.  The staff are generally friendly, lines aren't too long at the checkout counters and parking is easy.

I enjoy stopping at Caribou, getting a cup of joe, then walking around Best Buy and finding new toys, movies or whatever to spend money on.

Other than that, what else do you really know?  It's Best Buy, but yeah, it feels like the guys that work here are friendlier than your average yellow and blue clad employees.

Yep, still poor customer service. Greeting as I come in, no one available to help while I'm in there. By the way, don't tell me you're getting in a copy of something I ask about in a few days and never refill the stock. I've been in there at least four times in the last two weeks and nothing yet again. Best part is that it's an item on sale. I wonder why the stock isn't being refilled?

Well, I gotta say I am a fan of Best Buys, but this one is great.  I went today and I had to get a wireless router and a fridge filter.  Neither of which was I absolutely sure what I wanted to get.  The staff here was excellent.  I had several employees eager to help me.  It was a great shopping experience.

I visit this location at least once a month. I am always very impressed by the nice service I receive. It is never pushy and always friendly. They have a good selection ,except they usually have a limited number of game consoles. They only had one Wii in stock ,when I was there. All in all, I have had very good experiences here.

The employees who work at the "mobile" station in this Best Buy are so NOT customer friendly or helpful in any way.  A 10 minute wait turned into an hour while one of the service people were checking their email and the other was yapping away over absolute nonsense.  Don't waste your time coming to this store.

This store is located in the Edgewood retail district/shopping center. My review is based on the purchase of an LG washer and dryer (which are great by the way) for our new house.  We met a sales associate named Lori who explained to us that associates do not work on commission and she wasn't at all pushy but rather very knowledgeable and helpful.  Even though we already knew what we wanted we felt like she made the whole experience very easy.    This was the first time we bought large appliances like a washer and dryer so I would definitely return to Best Buy for similar purchases.  They had the best price in town and even offer free delivery (and pick up of your old appliance if necessary) and a great payment plan with no interest.  Also, Best Buy offers a Reward Zone card which allows you to earn points for each purchase and receive reward certificates to use like cash at their stores or on their website.

I took my computer to Geek Squad yesterday. The guy (wish I had gotten his name) was really helpful and ran a diagnostic without even charging me. He was really understanding when I said I couldn't pay $200 for the diagnostic and repair since I'm a grad student, and gave me step by step advice for what I should do to get my computer working again. As you can see, it worked and I didn't have to pay a dime.

If the phone there would ever get answered by a person, I would be inclined to go.  However, after calling about 15 times in the last week, and never getting ANYONE to actually pick up and answer a phone, I think I'll look elsewhere to spend my money.

4/5 better than most. HUGE store, so you get alot of things to choose from, expect in the mp3 section, their all high-end expensive stuff. BUT they make up for it with their electronics section. Me and some other kid stayed in their for an hour playing various games ( Wii, Rock Band, Xbox360) They let you play as much as you want and the staff  is SUPER friendly. I love going here, even if can't afford most things, i have fun browsing.
