Used to have the best "stuff" on an OK Burger and the wicked good fries are gone.

They used to have great fries, but today we had greasy, mushy and tasted like old oil. (1 star used to mop up the grease puddle)

Cheeseburger Breakdown (BOMC style):

Bun - commercial enriched bread with bland sesame seeds
Burger - all char and no beef taste
Cheese - American with some taste
Veggies - good shredded lettuce held together by may and mustard and ample pickles... but no tomato

How does it get 4 stars? It is right down the street from the Ft Stelicoon Dog Park.

Yes it is slower then Mc Donalds, but I believe the "Made to Order" sign because I have watched the kids scurrying around & I prefer to support them... but the missing tomato and slipping fry quality is troubling. If it continues I'll update for less.

Occasion: Lunch

Structurally, this place looks like an old burger joint. If it did not have such a historically good reputation, I would have looked elsewhere (ie. McDonald's, Burger King, etc.)

In the past 3 months, I have had their cheeseburger at least twice. The bread is typically soggy and there is nothing special about the beef. I would not be surprised if Best Burgers bought all their ingredients (ie. bun, beef, etc.) at Costco.

The French Fries are not very greasy and lightly salted. I would recommend the onion rings, because they are both tasty and breaded well.

My boss absolutely loves Best Burgers, because she's been eating here the last 20+ years. If she did not order here regularly, I probably would not takeout here on my own.

My fiance was so geeked to take me here.  Eh!...good french fries but the burger was a little to, toooooo Burger King-ish to me with way too much mayo.  I didn't get it.  And reading most of the reviews I can only wonder if these aren't the owners.  I mean it's not nasty but it is nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo where...worth 4 stars.

If anyone knows of a good burger place that DOES not use pre-shaped, frozen patties (I don't care if it is suppose to be 100% so-called beef)...I mean the place ACTUALLY gathers fresh hamburger, throws it on the grill and takes it from there.....PLEEEEEZZZZZEEEE tell me.

Sure I can cook my own burger at home  but you know...it's somethin' about the half-cleaning of tha' grill and leavin' a little bit of bacteria on there that takes a tasty, tasty moo pattie to new heights!

I know what you're goin' to say.  "Why on earth would I ever want to go there?  But--If you ever in Flint or Birch Run, Michigan...stop by HALO BURGER...get a "Supreme" wit everything including olives and banana peppers--cut in half.  Get that with fries and a Boston Cooler.

Riggggghhhhht.....that's what up.  Mooooooo.

Someone needs to do a review about Best Burger's spudsters, so I will!

Spudsters are mashed potatoes that are breaded and then deep fried, resulting in crispy, creamy, tasty delight......mmmm. I've never had anything like them.....so if you're in the Tacoma area, swing by Best Burgers and try some of these morsels from heaven, dog gone it!

Just like the name, they do have some of the Best Burgers! I used to live across the street from this place and grabbed a bite when it first opened. To this day I still consider them in my top 3 of best burgers in the Puget Sound. Much better than Dick's IMO.

I've been looking for a good burger place in the area for a while, and I think I found it. Good burgers. Good milkshakes. Good fries.

My wife and I are die hard In-N-Out fans so we are always on the lookout for a comparable burger joint up here.  The burgers and fries are OK, but the rest of the menu is pretty manic.  The owners seem to want it to be a coffee/ ice cream/ smoothie/ gourmet burger/ classic burger drive-thru all in one.  The place is drive-thru and walk up only, which is ok except that means you're stuck looking at the unbelievably dirty building.  Two hours with a pressure washer would do this place wonders.  The service (mostly high school kids)  is slow, which makes me wonder how they handle the lunch time rush.
