If you're looking for a quiet, secluded getaway for you and the person or inflatable companion of your choice, this is IT. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere-- eight miles down a windy country road from the center of a small town called Willits-- but basically a three-hour drive from the Bay Area (depending on traffic getting out). It's small and family owned, and they really work hard at giving you personal attention when you need it and leaving you the hell alone when you need that.
The entire place consists of just three cottages. We prefer Stepping Stone cottage. It has a ridiculously comfortable king-sized bed, a gigantic jacuzzi tub that could easily fit you *and* Hagrid, a fireplace, and a steam aromatherapy thing in the shower (you can also use the shower just as a shower). They bring breakfast to your room-- there's a very nice table for two in the cottage. There's also a small "morning kitchen" with a coffee maker, a microwave, and a small fridge. They provide you with coffee beans (and grinder), tea, snacks and drinks. The cottages also have TVs with DVDs, VCRs, and some kind of awesome cable package.
It's way out in the country and absolutely silent. The people who run it are superawesome. The prices are very reasonable. Check it out!Listed in: Cherry-Poppin' Mama
