They do some really cool and impressive art programs including residencies, fellowships and funded art and community research/development at the Berwick. i love the fact that they converted a old cake & pie bakery buildign into an amazing art space on a formerly nasty side street in Dudley Square, Roxbury.
Back in the day when the first re-energized the place (circa 2000) when I first went I remember them having free shows there, I saw the Lightning Bolt there a few times and drank a bunch with all the crazy artist/biker kids -good times. Those days are more or less over but teh crazy art that is created and organized here won't leave you hanging.
