I LOVE THIS PLACE. the fro-yo is of the variety that actually tastes like yogurt, as opposed to ice cream. if you've been to pink berry in nyc, this tastes pretty much the same.
berry line cycles through various different flavors every1- 2 weeks or so. some are amazing, a few aren't that great (for example i thought pumpkin pie tasted weird), but most are pretty good, and you'll always have plain to fall back on.
service ppl are generally pretty chill and friendly. you also get free water and chocolate syrup!
Big fan of BerryLine. I love this new addition to the Fenway area!
The original is fantastic, but unfortunately the flavors don't do much for me. They all kind of taste the same. Except Fig. Stay away from the fig. *Shudder*.
One of my fave things about BerryLine is that the dish is big enough for the yogurt and the toppings. Gone are the days of my kiwi and fruity pebbles falling all over the place as I try to have my first few tastes of yummy nummy yogurt.
Love BerryLine so much that you go all of the time? Make sure you pick up the Buy 10 Get 1 Free card!
IMO the best tart fro-yo in the city, with the freshest toppings around. Original with strawberries and mango makes my day, always. I have no idea what they do to their fruit to make it so good, but it's just so addictive (fruit, addictive? that's crazy talk). And (somewhat) healthy too? Preposterous!
Love that they're now on our side of the river... the original location was great but such a trek.
So here comes a competitor to PinkBerry which is in NYC and California. We don;t have one here is Boston. Now we have Berryline which is a wanna be PinkBerry. The service at Berryline is not good and the flavors are limited and very boring. However I think it is great Boston has something like this. It is OK and definetly worth a visit. Maybe I went on bad days for them. Who knows?
Wow, I'm an outlyer here. I just don't like their product. The service is friendly and prompt. Free samples were offered. The place was clean and inviting. But, unfortunately, the frozen yogurt just didn't do it for me. The plain and peanut butter flavors tasted exactly the same, with a tartness that bordered on sour. I paid $5 for a medium with two toppings, and threw half of it out.
My review is strictly a matter of taste - if you like a very tart frozen yogurt, this is your place. For me, it just tasted like it'd been left out a bit too long.
People will probably think I'm crazy for saying this, but this place is the reason why I gave up eating ice cream. My love for this place began during the summer when I was starting to eat healthier. My friend introduced me to this place and I fell in love with the original frozen yogurt. This was my first tart frozen yogurt experience and I crave it everyday. Unfortunately it's out of the way for me, so I have to indulge in places such as Chill in Brighton and Red Mango on Mass. Ave. Although all three places are good in my opinion, Berryline is my #1 choice. Regardless of the fact that they use previously frozen fruit, it's still a healthy and tasty alternative to ice cream!
Great froyo, great service, what else can I say.
BerryLine makes my day. Get me a small original froyo with mochi topping, I am all set.
I don't scream for ice cream, I scream for BerryLine froyos!

Just got back from BerryLine earlier today. Kind of disappointed that they ran out of mochi =(.… Read more »
I sat in the store for about 15 minutes, I was 1 of 3 guys in this establishment. Great place to meet chicks.
Other than that, yogurt is decent. As a former yogurt chef, the consistency is good. I just wish that the "tart" was actually tart.
You know how sometimes, when a local shop becomes uber-successful and decides to open up other locations, the new locations just somehow aren't as good as the original? Well, much to my relief, that ain't the case here. The frozen yogurt is every bit as tart and refreshing as what the Berryline in Harvard Square offers, AND I can now hop downstairs at 11:00pm in my pajamas to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's a win-win for all.
The only downside is that, also like the Harvard Square location, this place is small and barely has any seating. Maybe some day they'll open up a spacious Berryline with ample tables and chairs. One can dream....
Yay! More Berryline!! After enjoying their Harvard Sq location for a few years (how long has it been?) it is exciting to see them expanding! The success of Berryline is warranted, so congrats!
The new location in Fenway is much bigger than the Harvard location, however there isn't any seating! There is certainly room for seating, so we'll see if that changes. I like how they have a big board showing you the toppings. It seems that this location may have more toppings than the Harvard location, but I could be wrong. The addition of mochi as a topping is something I don't remember seeing at Harvard.
So, the layout and presentation of this location is an A+. I never ever go to Fenway so I came out just for Berryline.
I got one with banana and blueberry flavored fro yo. Those were the 2 flavors of "the day." However, my love for the original flavor is still there. I got the Fruity Pebbles as a topping because I'd always wanted to do it, and never had before. Fruity Pebbles and Mango ended up being great toppings.
I do believe they have raised their prices as a medium was $5. But you know what, I've paid $5 for crappy ice cream, so I will shell it out for Berryline's amazing fro yo.
Keep it going Berryline!!
This location is great and there are tons of toppings, but this frozen yogurt is not my fav. I love sweets and it's just too tart for me. If you like the more tart flavor then this would be excellent for you.
I do love their fresh fruit toppings and their monthly flavors that they have make the froyo better. I really enjoyed their peanut butter flavor, but then again I like most peanut butter flavored stuff.
The good thing about this place is you don't feel guilty eating it, so you can eat it more often. The building is great and I love how close it is to my house, but I just wish it was a bit sweeter.
On a random note, one of the pictures someone posted is of my boyfriend and dog when they went by for a visit. Very weird.
A fabulous yogurt Trifecta! Totally tasty & just as tremazing as the other 2 locations. If you're a BerryLine junkie (like i am) go get your froyo on post Newbury st (or Boylston) or post sox.
I may or may not have filled up my 5th BerryLine frequent purchase card there...but it was absolutely worth it to check out their newest digs.
cool interior, great location...yumtastic yogurt. I'm in.
Out of all the things I've been praying for.. today's the perfect day to get something that's mid-list.. a Berryline that is green line accessible (God, I know you're still working on that world peace thing.. but thanks for throwing a bone). And on top of that.. well.. I'm not sure if it's just perfect fro-yo weather or I'm just in a good mood.. but I feel like this fro-yo is even more delicious than the Harvard Sq. location. Is that even possible?
The location is just as small as the one in Harvard and there aren't any chairs/tables yet, but it'd probably fit 2-3 small tables at most anyway. Perhaps some chairs directly outside the shop? They were only offering the original flavor (of fro-yo) for the free small samples today (and it's not too late to go.. free small samples w/2 toppings until 9), but it didn't matter. My usual go to is original with raspberries and chocolate chips (or PB chips if they have 'em). Fruit, chocolate, and yogurt.. healthy, yeah? ;)
The decor is pretty much the same as the Harvard location. Plain walls with what looks like some Bren Bataclan artwork (Filipino pride.. sorry.. gotta say it every time.. it's like being from Jersey..).. I know the owner was looking for more artwork a few months ago on the threads, so he may switch out.
Hmm.. It's been about an hour.. and I'm already ready for more. Once the paycheck hits next week.. you'll know where to find me for the rest of the summer.. ;)
PS - Sorry I didn't tip.. smiley, happy Berryline workers.. I had no change on me. :( I know it's rough handing out free samples. Next time, I'll tip double.. and hold me to that if you recognize me! :)
A huge fan of the tart frozen yogurt, I am ecstatic that it has finally come into Boston and more importantly, Fenway (just a few steps away from my place!)
I really have no complaints about the frozen yogurt. I wish it was a little cheaper, they charge too much for toppings! :( And I love mochi (but they've been out of it the last 3 times I've been here and, it's just not as soft as mochi should normally be). But, I can't complain too much. It's frozen yogurt! And it oh-so-amahzingg! YUM!
I had never heard or Berry Line before they opened their Fenway location (just down the street from me). Sunday (7/5) afternoon I walked by in the afternoon and they were giving away tiny samples of their plain ("original" flavor) frozen yogurt outside the store. I tried it and immediately decided we definitely needed to make a trip back there after dinner.
I stopped to check their hours and was so excited about them - open till 11pm Sun-Tuesday and midnight every other day! Finally, a place that understands that people in a city don't all go to bed at 9pm!
Well that night I had my first full helping of Berry Line and I'm hooked. So far I've only had one topping, strawberries, because I'm picky about combining flavors, etc. But just an FYI - you get a TON of topping, even when you only get one. I probably got a full cup of strawberries on my yogurt.
The yogurt is so good, nothing like any other froyo I've tried. Instead of trying to imitate ice cream it really tastes like yogurt. It is also creamy and smooth. I don't really know how to describe it but can only recommend that every single person tries it as soon as possible.
Hooray for Berry Line!
I absolutely LOVED this place! After living in Midtown Manhattan for a few months, I got used to having Pinkberry or Red Mango like every other week...okay, more like once a week, but I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by BerryLine.
My boyfriend and I were walking over to the movie theater nearby and, when we realized that we were 40 minutes early, decided to split a medium original with strawberries and chocolate chips. The two of us could not finish it. Let me repeat, because I love frozen yogurt and he always eats like he never knows when his next meal is going to be: the two of us could NOT finish it! That's how big it was! We really wanted to finish it because the strawberries tasted super fresh and everything about it was delicious, but we sadly could not finish those last few bites. It's not very expensive at all and you definitely get your money's worth! Check it out if you're in the area, or go over there just to check it out! I think it might even be better than Pinkberry and Red Mango...!!
Hooray! My favorite treat closer to my 'hood! Went for the first bite the day they opened and was not disappointed. Friendly service, delicious fresh fruit and it totally hits the spot. It's a little store, but it's all I need.
Now if they'd just open up one in the South End...
Yeah, I made it to the free giveaway first day too... even at 8pm, there was a line out the door which moved rather quickly. I got my free small yogurt with strawberry and mochi - loads of really red, really fresh sweet strawberries, and I thought they were being skimpy with the mochi, but it turned out to be plenty. Nice chewy morsels. Smooth and creamy fro yo. Definitely a nice treat.
Cute pictures decorated the walls and buy 10 get 1 cards were handed out along with our yogurts.
Yay fro-yo!! I LOVE it! I think the tartness of the frozen yogurt is somewhat of an acquired taste. I've acquired it and totally love it now! I like the original flavor with fruit toppings the best, although I have not gone enough times to try every topping they have available. They give you a generous amount of your chosen topping(s) too.
I'm so happy they have opened up this Fenway location as it's easier for me to get to (and look for parking) than the Harvard Square location. If only there was one near work, I would get it all the time!! but maybe that's for the better, because as healthy as they supposedly are, too much of anything is not good for anyone.
This place is amazing. You take low fat under 100 calorie frozen yougurt and add a mix in and weigh it (they actually weigh it) and there you go! Its fresh, its good tasting and it will put all the other high calorie places out of business (Cold Stone). The place is a simple concept and created by an MIT grad (saw it on Chronicle). Even the menu is simple and easy to read and follow. The taste is awesome and will blow you away! There are a few locations but I imagine they will popping up everywhere! Good stuff!
Berryline, you've done it again! I wish there was some seating, but i will totally be hitting berryline instead of beerworks the next time i'm down at the game!
OK, they've got seating now. Yay!

So, first of all, I'm so happy that their website lists the flavors for all the stores and I don't… Read more »
Trish F. is right--God has answered our prayers for a Berryline on this side of the river! And they now have mochi topping (in regular and strawberry flavors)! I could barely contain my excitement when I dropped in for a free sample today. Mango + mochi = win in my mouth. I don't know if the mochi was actually homemade, but it was really delicious with the perfect just-chewy-enough texture. Cheerful artwork and brightly painted walls make this the perfect spot for a little fro-yo pick-me-up. It would be perfect if they added a couple bar-height tables/counter seats inside. This *almost* makes up for the whole month of rain and gloomy overcast weather that God has dumped on Boston.
Is it OK if I don't call it "froyo?" In fact, I feel a little sick just typing it. It's an ugly word but a nice treat. I'd done my research beforehand (eating is serious business, people) and based on the nutrition info I had anticipated something a) very small and b) rather icy. To my great joy, neither was true! In fact, the small is a bit too big, especially since the flavor is very tangy (in true yogurt fashion) and something of an acquired taste. The mouthfeel is cool and smooth, and though it is no ice cream, it pinch hits admirably. The toppings are interesting, but given its nature, I stick with fruits and nuts and away from anything in the candy category, which here would seem too sweet.
Berryline does it again! Finally a Berryline sorta-kinda near where I hang! The new location is beautiful and I love the tile floors and awesome artwork. The staff was awesome and gave me a "small" which seemed larger than normal. The product itself was fantastic, like always. I'm happy to see they are doing so well and able to expand to the other side of the Charles. Berryline + matinée down the street = heaven!
BerryLine might deserve a higher rating depending on your tastes. Me? I like my fro-yo to taste like really creamy ice cream (think J.P. Licks or E & B). This yogurt is intentionally on the tart / sour side. They do have an impressive array of toppings including an extensive selection of uber fresh fruit and rarities like mochi. This location is new but the staff seemed well informed on products and happily handed out samples of available flavors. Cleanliness and service were 5 stars, variety was 4 stars but the tartness brought me down to a 3.
This was my experience with real frozen yogurt. I have to say I liked it. The yougurt itself has a tangy tarty taste to it. It is also very cool when eating it. The small is plenty enough to eat. Plus the 100 calories. I stuck with the traditional for the first time. I put strawberries and chocolate chips on it. I think that was my only mistake. I should of chose something with just fresh fruit. They do get you for a 1 dollar for extra toppings. If you get the chance try this place.
Love this stuff! The yogurt is awesome, and I love that they tell you exactly what's in it and give you the nutrition info. When you choose fruit as a topping they put a TON on, a small with three fruits on it is almost 50/50 fruit/yogurt! The different flavors are interesting, but I've yet to try one that's really distinct, so I just stick with the original. My suggestion is to stick with the fruit toppings, they really compliment the flavor and consistency of the yogurt way better than chocolate chips or anything of that sort. The staff here is really chill, all happy college kids. My friends and I are obsessed with the artwork hanging on the walls-- so cute! If you're at the movies at Landmark, Fenway, or Kenmore it's really close and open until 11.
I'm completely obsessed with this place. Love the frozen yogurt, love getting mango, kiwi, & mochi on top of it, love that a small is only 100 calories. Plus everyone who works there is super nice. If you turn into an addict like me, make sure you get a berryline card so that you can get your 11th cup free :)
delicious tart froyo, clean store and friendly staff. they're generous with the toppings and the fruit is fresh. also a great location for this type of place -- see ya later coldstone obsesity. don't forget to pick up a frequent-buyer stamp card!
now all they need are a few benches outside, as i am a little walk-while-eating challenged...
Love it
