I love my birdhouse but I haven't hung it yet so I don't know if the birds like it yet, but it's adorable!! Michael was a very cool guy and I enjoyed shopping at his pad.
I purchased my birdhouse with a Groupon and love the fact that they offered a free membership to enjoy free jazz at Michael's Birdland Jazzista Social Club events. When I was shopping, Michael made references to paying $10 bucks so I was a little confused since Groupon said it was free. Either way, $10 bucks for jazz and food is a great deal.
Michael's craftsmanship is amazing and his birdhouses are creative and gorgeous! I highly recommend checking it out!! -

I have purchased a dozen birdhouses from Mike over the last few years. They make a unique and extremely welcomed present especially from women who cherish their home and yard. Extremely tastefully made they add a artistic touch to those gardens, the rustic recycled wood integrating beautifully into the natural environment. They have earned me by far the best compliments amongst all gifts I have offered.

I was so impressed. He helped my friend pick the right birdhouse and will even ship them for you. Each bird house is certified for use but they were unique and intricate enough to stand alone as art pieces. I wasn't even planning on buying anything and I bought one...and some local meyer lemons that just happened to be fresh from the farm to Birdie P. A great way to start open studios.

Winner of the California Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) WRAP (Waste Reduction Award Program) in 2009, and involved in a pilot study on waste reduction in Alameda County's www.stopwaste.org program, Berkeley Rustic Birdhouses specializes in Audobon Society Specification Birdhouses and Birdfeeders. I also make Urban Chicken Coops, Bat houses, Feeders, Dog houses, Cat houses, Mailboxes, Outdoor Birdhouse Garden speakers, Birdhouse surveillance camera systems, Anti-dog barking device enclosures, planter boxes, potting tables, and anything you can think of birdhouse themed. Commission work welcomed.
History
Established in 1999
It started out as a garden recycling project in berkeley and it grew into a cottage industry supported by my neighbors and local community. Berkeley Rustic Birdhouses has been featured in over 30 garden magazines and national and local papers. Winner of the Best of the East Bay in 2003, it has also been featured in Bay Area Backroads, Home Garden TV, Balitang America(Filipino Channel), and Univision's Encuentro en la Bahia.

Birdie or Cuckoo as his friends know him got his Phd at CAL in Birdology...seriously folks i did my phd at CAL but not birdology. I teach partime at local community colleges and make birdhouses and other garden related products out of all recycled materials full time.
