I've been going here for years. Most the staff are nice and knowledgeable, although I've run into a few 'gruff' folks over the years. Seen a bit of "I'm a real biker cause I like choppers/harleys and you like metric" in a few as well.

Prices for new stuff is great. Prices on used stuff is typically way higher than what you will find on ebay. But sometimes being able to see the part and get it right then makes it worth it. Between the used and new parts, I've rarely not been able to find a part I've needed, no matter what model/manufacture/year bike.

And like Robert said, this is a salvage yard! Its not super clean, there are some gruffs there, etc. But its got a ton of hard to find parts, sells both common and uncommon new stuff, and has great prices and turn around times on tires.

Gotta love Washington State and the lovely people here

OK people this is a "salvage yard" so its used parts off of mostly wrecked bikes do you get it now ?

if you are too dumb to figure it out then EBay is better for you

for the rest of the people out there that can turn a wrench and don't mind cleaning some grease and rust off a part this is the place for you, get the part to fix up your scoot and get back on the road, or give it that custom look you have always wanted, get cheap parts that you don't mind modding here

went in here today and got some new mirrors and levers, spent way too much time browsing isles and looking at crap I don't need but hey it was a great day for it

I have always found what I was looking for when I come in here

Bent bike is great. They stock parts for all types of motorcycles and scooters. They also have lots of "universal" parts in stock. Don't be surprised if you find yourself wandering around the store for an hour. The staff is friendly, and the original owner still works there.

Their prices are good and the people are nice.

Any time I need scooter gear, I usually skip the dealerships and try Bent Bike first.  You're bound to find protective gear, helmets, etc for much cheaper than anywhere else in North Seattle.

I will say that the staff knows pretty much zip about scooters, though, and they're not really all that helpful about helping you find parts that you need.  The salespeople refer you to the mechanics if they don't know what you're looking for, and the mechanics get exasperated and complain that looking for parts is too far below their pay grade for them to bother.

This place is not for the novice.  You need to do your research and know what you're looking for before you come out here for parts.

I felt obligated to write a review just to counter all of the negative ones..  Myself being a definite novice, I didn't feel like a couldn't find what I was looking for without a few minutes of strolling down aisles and reading the (giant) labeled signs.  I also was asked several times if I needed help while looking at helmets and casually browsing, as opposed to what a few others had to say..

I'm beginning to think that a large population of motorcycle/scooterists in the area are a pretty whiny and demanding bunch.  At least quite a few on Yelp!

Cool shop with tons of gear.  Extra points for the awesome vintage Honda C90 hanging from the raftors (amongst other cool displayed bikes)!

Two things I know I'll do every spring: taxes and trips to Bent Bikes. If you have a hands-on attitude towards your horse, and especially if it's older, this shop is an indispensable parts resource.

The floor is about 1/3 bins of dissembled bike parts, 1/3 new gear and clothing, and 1/3 OEM parts. Everything is crammed into much too small a space and it's practically impossible to get love from the service staff, but they're happy to let you crawl the bins and paw the parts for hours. (Note to sisters: Bent Bikes *before* manicure, or prepare for a pout.)

Bent Bikes offers (near) instant gratification, as well as a stock of the niggly bits and widgets that can often be almost impossible to find online. Both of these can be crucial to actually getting you butt out of the garage and onto the road. Because we all know that, when it comes to bike repair, the no-problem weekend tweak is the rarest of beasts.

The other thing I like about this shop is it's geared (literally) towards real riders and mechanics. The wash sink with orange abrasive hand cleaner is for customers, not just staff. And the chaps-over-chinos crowd is mercifully scant. Presumably, they're at the Harley shop down the road, scarfing petit fours.

One word of warning, though, by way of my favorite bail-me-out mechanic, who I ran into last time I was there. Don't buy the (whole) used bikes they offer for sale. When I asked the guy why, he just shook his head. But ever since he looked slightly embarrassed when offering to sell me a Ural, I've trusted him on these things.
