Bennies gets an a+ just for its deli and meat counter. They are small but sell quality food.  If you want the best sandwiches in the 3 town area - then stop at Bennie's!  Best retail butcher in Essex, Centerbrook and Ivoryton - if they don' t have what you want, they will custom order it for you,  Prices are reasonable for the quality of meat they have
they also have setup a series of small gourmet shelf items that are fun to look through and get inspired by.
Definitely worth stopping in for your groceries and lunch meals.
