A few years ago, a fellow Yelper described Bennett Lane as a "small very simple winery sort of hidden away. quiet and uncrowded." After Wine Spectator rated Bennett Lane's 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon a 92, things have changed--slightly.
Bennett Lane is anything but corporate, and you still receive personable, friendly service. I'm not sold on their wines. Much like other similarly priced and rated wines like Turnbull's 2004 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and Robert Mondavi's 2004 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, I don't understand the fuss. In Napa, "average" isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I have a tough time justifying anything better than three stars.
a small very simple winery sort of hidden away. quiet and uncrowded. a good place to stop and sit on out on the patio area in the sun. pretty good reds, a friendly staff and a relaxing time.

Loved the Belgian chocolate (and the wine too). This is a tiny winery, a little off the beaten path. The server was friendly, and paid more attention to us than more commercial wineries. Definitely worth the time to check it out. We really liked the reds.
