Mediocre SF Pizza.
Got the Sausage, Mushroom, and Onion pizza. It came in a reasonable time, and it was hot.
Hard to find a great delivery pizza in this city. -

Stopped by for a quick bite to share a slice of Californian pizza, which came with pesto and chicken, which I'd recommend. The slices were sitting in the front of the glass display, and they popped it in the oven quickly to heat it up before serving to me. The pizza flavors were alright, could have used a little bit more time in the oven. Slice was $4.00.

I was NOT expecting much from this place based on the reviews but it was late, I was hungry, and I had timed out of all my default restaurants-that-deliver options. So, I was pleasantly surprised by prompt, friendly service, and really decent food! Ordered through Eat 24 Hours and got two different paninis (vegetarian and a tuna melt) and a medium spinach/pesto/feta pie. The paninis looked a bit small, but were tasty, had a generous amount of filling and the pie was good as well! Well done! I would definitely try them again for their paninis - nice to have sandwich options on their menu.

Got a pie delivered for the AFC and NFC games. Came within the promised 30-45 minute range. Really friendly delivery guy. Pizza was pretty alright. Not amazing but by no means bad. While it was a little underdone the dough was good enough for it not be a huge issue. The mozzarella was little stringy/rubbery but still delicious. Peperoni and pineapple tasted great. They thoughtfully included pepper flakes and parmesan without a specific request--not everyone does. Most importantly its pretty cheap. $17 plus tax and tip for an xtra large (16") Hawaiian is deal. I'll order around for the time being but Bellissimo is on my radar as a potential pizza delivery regular.

This place was literally next door to us at the Vertigo and so we had a late night pizza. I asked for Margarita, and they said they don't have it. so much for authentic Italian pizza by the slice eh? Anyway, we ended up having a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. It was good. Nothing to rave about, nothing to rant about.

Wow, this may have been the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. And to make matters worse, my friends and I stopped here after being on a party bus for the afternoon and drunk food supposedly is always good. Well, Bellissimo Pizza definitely contradicted that notion.
All I wanted was a hot, cheesy piece of pizza. Instead I got a piece of cardboard with a sprinkle of cheese. I ordered a slice from the available pizzas that just may have been sitting out all day. I noticed that the cheese looked sparse, so I asked for extra cheese. Even after asking for extra cheese, my end product boasted more more sauce then cheese! Horrible. The crust was like cardboard. Ewww.
And then there were the hot wings - gross! The meat was super fatty and the sauce was bland. There was no spice to it at ALL! I might have well just ordered some fat dipped in ketchup.
I will never go back, sober or drunk. -

It's the best pizza place within two blocks of my apartment. They keep pesto chicken pizza ready to go, which is a nice touch. The guys are super friendly and service is always great.

This is a review of delivery from Bellissimo Pizza.
Pizza is just one of the foods that polarizes folks.
Recently, I ordered from Bellissimo Pizza. I really enjoyed it. The pepperoni pizza was perfect for my personal tastes. The crust was not too thick or too thin. It was crisp but still had a nice chew and it had a nice bready flavor. I also really enjoyed the sharpness of the sauce. It just all came together very well. Since my return to San Francisco, this is definitely one of my favorite pizzas.
The wings were just ok. They were spicy and had decent overall flavor. However, they had an oily texture that seemed like they had been fried in oil that was not quite hot enough.
Ordering was easy through Grubhub. Delivery was prompt, professional, and polite.
Overall - their pizza and timely delivery earned them four stars. and when i am feeling less adventurous and just want to order something i know i will like, i will order a pizza from Bellissimo. -

Two friends and I chose to order a pizza and salad from Bellissimo since it was right next to our hotel. We got the pizza with chicken, pesto, spinach, and feta. YUM! It was so tasty. Perfect amount of crust, cheese, and they did not at all skimp on the chicken. We ordered a Greek salad which was just okay. With the yelp discount, all of it was $22.
The cashier was ok. Not thrilled when I mentioned the yelp discount. But he happily gave us paper plates, napkins, and utensils to enjoy our meal in our hotel room.
They also sell by the slice, which is of course convenient.

Just got a medium Bellissimo Special, we'll see how the pizza is here. I actually just also saw a special in the window, same thing I ordered but cheaper, larger pizza with a 2 liter free soda. The guy didn't even offer us the deal when we ordered... went up to the counter & asked if they offered any specials, he acted So far the staff have been friendly, the place is fairly clean as well.

VERY solid New York Style slice in the Tendernob. Really friendly guys working here, too.
I had to laugh when I read one or two negative reviews complaining about the "greasiness" of the Pizza, LIKE THAT'S A BAD THING WHEN YOU'RE CRAVING A LATE NIGHT SLICE??!!
Do not hesitate to check this place out, with the recent addition of Bite sandwich shop next door this little corner of Sutter Street has become a destination for inexpensive (but tasty) late-night grub! -

I lived right across from this pizza place before I moved overseas. My favorite pizza is the Bellissimo Special by the slice. Best part is they open late night on those non-cooking nights. Great Staff too, they really know you by name and your order. Can't wait to move back to San Francisco. Long live Belissimo Pizza.

Bellissimo's is one of the best pizza places around. I like to get the Bellissimo deal which is a XL Pizza 2 topping and 2 liter soda for $16.
They deliver till 3 am which is late and that's always nice. There always very friendly. I have heard one new guy isn't the nicest but I haven't met him yet.
There wings are not bad either, really hot and spicy but very good. -

Check out the monster veggie panini I got for $5.95!
Spinach, tomatoes, pesto, roasted peppers, onions, olives, artichokes and mozzarella piled onto a huge thick focaccia. Forget ordering pizza and stick with the paninis... They are cheap and good. It was two lunches worth! And to guarantee that last star, it arrived at my work on time and hot.
No, I haven't tried the pizza, but it doesn't sound like I am missing anything. We will definitely order from them again and think you should, too. -

Shouldn't late-night pizza always taste good? I guess I'm holding Bellissimo to that standard, so it really was just a flat line for pizzaness. I had their standard combo and it was more on the cardboard crisp side than I usually prefer. I don't like pizza to be dripping with grease, but the pizza slice was on the dry side. Will probably hit them up again if I crave a slice in the wee hours, but very underwhelming.

I ordered a medium california for pick up: so yummy!!!!!! the pizza was ready in just 15mn. the staff was nice as always. they still remember me by name, even though I haven't been there for a while. the service was great and the boss was friendly as always. my wife liked the pizza. it's very unique.. Bellissimo style! i forgot to mention their tuna sandwich: it was fabulous!!!!

Quick, big, and easy! JUST THE WAY I LIKE EM! haha ;)
On a real note, I was in the area looking at studios and apartments, found this place on Yelp and tried it out. Small little shop next to a liquor store and a cafe. Got 6 slices: 2 supremes, 2 pepperoni, and 2 CA specials.
I LOVED the California Special! Pesto, Tomatoes, Chicken, Spinach, and Feta Cheese! Really yummy!
The slices are big, but not too huge to where you feel sick afterwards. The pizza has just the right amount of sauce and is not too greasy!
Overall, I most definitely will be back and will try their paninis (this place is open til 2am!) . I'll also make sure to try the crepes that the cafe makes next door! -

It's OK. Man, I've reviewed so many San Francisco pizza places that I don't really have anything interesting to add. But since my interesting stories usually involve a pizza place's shortcomings, that might work out in Bellissimo Pizza's favor. Or not.

Probably one of the better pizza delivery restaurants. Pizza is solid with generous toppings and great crust ratio. They are great on the phone (very polite and not yelling at you), very courteous and deliver quickly. Take advantage of the Yelp coupon for 10% off.

They don't have much to offer for walk-ins but I actually liked this pizza better than most that I've tried in the area. Sober.
Being from New York my tastes in pizza are high but I liked the way they cook their crust; its crispier than most around here.
I will most likely order a pie from here in the future. -

I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but a 3 would be more accurate than a 4.
I found this place on Yelp after craving some late-night thin-crust pizza on a Friday night. I called my order in for delivery, and mentioned the 10% Yelp discount. They delivered within 30-40 minutes, and the pizza definitely hit the spot. I did have to remind the driver of the 10% discount, since they forgot to apply it...nice try. A medium "combo" cost $18 after the discount, so it wasn't particularly cheap, but I was desperate. It wasn't the best pizza in the world, but I did enjoy it at the time.
A 3 might be a little harsh, but I just can't give it a 4. That being said, I'd probably order from this place again if/when I'm desperate for some pizza. -

This review is for late night slices... have not tried freshly made pizzas which may well be good.
At about 1am I came to this place and got two slices, it tasted like old melted plastic, probably from the heat lamps. Never have I had such bad pizza I had to throw it away.
So just make sure you get fresh pizza or examine how fresh the slices look -

We had Bellissimo deliver to our scary Best Western motel after we decided we were too buzzed and tired to drive to the Mission for Mexican food.
So. I have to say that
1.) they were very friendly
2.) delivery was reasonable fast for a Saturday night
3.) the California Special with feta cheese, chicken and pesto sauce was quite delicious and soothed my scary motel nerves nicely.
The also brought some garlic bread which unfortunately arrived quite scorched and some Orangina! I have never had the pleasure of delivered Orangina! Right on!
Truthfully we didn't have anything else but I ate 4 pieces and felt like a little sick and stuffed afterwards from my gluttony.
Anywho, they deliver late, to your house and scary motels! A win in my book!!! -

Not my favorite. But it is still good. Definitely a good spot for after a night of drinking...they're opened until 2 am and you can get pizza by the slice and a soda for about 5 bucks.
I think I am a bit of a pizza snob, most likely from growing up on the east coast, so I would probably choose another place over this.

I like to put a slice of pizza on top of a night of drinking. It seems to absorb the bad stuff and help me sleep.
I came in here after the Minx debacle mostly because it was just up the street but also because I'd never been before. I was going to pass two other places on my way to the buss stop.
Out of the three pizza by the slice places I know of in the area this one is the best, a little better than Irving Pizza on Geary and far superior to the disgusting Napoli Pizza on Polk St. -

The pizza Bellissimo serves is, at least, better than what the previous owners sold. Do not get the wings! If you want soggy disgusting wings, the ones at Dominos are at least drenched in a tasty hot sauce.
It's all about proximity. Don't go out of your way to eat here. But if you're only a couple of blocks away, you could do a lot worse. I'm talkin' to you, Cybelle's!Listed in: TENDERnob

Even though there were no cheese pizza's ready, the kind gentleman made one whole cheese pizza...fresh...juuuuuuuust 4 ME! Even though I only wanted ONE slice =) I propped my happy self on the stool and watched the little pigeon trapped inside this small pizzaria try to fly out a (closed) window. It was the funniest saddest thing ever. You know how people run into glass sliding goors after it's been Windex'd? That's what the bird was doing. Ohhk where was I...
The pizza came fresh from the oven in 7 minutes! The crust was thin and crispy....the sauce was tangy and zesty....the cheese was cheesy and warm and it didn't slide off the crust like others.

A solid 4 stars!! We got a medium pizza this evening (8 good-sized slices), half with red onions & green bell peppers and the other half good ol' pepperoni - yum! We ate happily at a little table outside alongside the restaurant on a warm October Friday evening.
I'm sure we were great advertising for the place as we happily chomped through our pizza washing it down with a Coke. Yum! The pizza was *tasty*, the cheese (oh the cheese!) is what makes it so yummy, the crust was finely 50/50 crispy and dough-y = *yummy*!
The guys are friendly, service was nice & this place is blocks away from my home -- what more can we ask for! Oh and they deliver - yahooo (there's really no excuse for me though since I'm so close, but you never know)!
Medium pizza+soda+tip+tax = $20 -

I had this review in mind last night, but am writing this today almost 24 hours later.
I called for a takeout of their awesome Tijuana special. I asked if the pizza can be made thin crust. Without any hesitation, they accepted it and delivered spot on. The thin crust which is not on the menu was made to perfection for no extra cost.
The pizza never disappoints here and the same goes with the customer service.
Within these 24 hours and few hours after i picked up my pizza, one of the employees was stabbed to death in what seems to be a freak homicide. A definite tragedy. All the employees and the owner were very friendly people.

Great pizza, especially good after an evening of boozing it up. I've been here quite a few times in the last few weeks and these guys are so awesome... Always smiling and cracking jokes even when their little pizza shop is full of drunken assholes at 2am!

I've grabbed slices at Bellissimo a few times, and it's probably the best by-the-slice pizza in the Civic Center/Union Square/Nob Hill area. That's not saying much, but it really hits the spot.
A few nights ago I also ordered delivery from there. It's no Uncle Vito's, but after 11:00 neither is Uncle Vito's because they close so damn early.
Anyways, I ordered my standard small cheese and a greek salad. The pizza was decent, although the cheese didn't seem to be the best quality. The salad was also ok, it could have used more veggies (especially tomatoes).
Delivery was fairly quick, which is nice. -

These guys get the "Heart Award".
I walked in tonight and asked them if they made a chicken parm sandwich....yeah, I know it's the 4th of July but that's what I wanted.
They kinda all looked at each other and said they could do it, even though it wasn't even on the menu.
It took forever. I started to get annoyed. Drunk idiot after next barked pizza slice orders while I sat on the stool waiting for my damn sandwich while watching everyone else get their food.
Then Mohammed called me up (I had plenty of time to get to know him) and handed me a heavy bag. I said "thanks" half-heartedly and walked out. The charm of my "special order" had worn off.
I got home and opened the bag to not only find one, but two of the single best chicken parm sandwiches I've ever had. Seriously. They were masterpieces. They didn't have rolls so they used folded pizza dough. Grilled green onions, a generous heap of melted cheese, their awesome marinara, a fat breast of chicken, spices.
Right now I feel like a dick, but a full, satisfied dick. Sorry for doubting you, Bellissimo Pizza guys. I'm writing this now to tell you that was literally the single best late-night meal I've had in ages.
If this thing doesn't wind up on the menu then this review was for nothing.
