This place definitely delivers a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing manicure and pedicure experience.
Granted, it's a little pricier than most places but it's worth it because you walk out feeling a little more relaxed and treated.
It feels like a treat, not just like you're getting someone to make your nails look nice.
Their warm, moisturizing, jelly bath for your feet is the best. My soles are always 10x better post Bellissimo.
I went here Saturday for my Bachelorette Party and was so impressed! The salon is clean with a sleek, modern, fun decor and the manicurists/pedicurists are so nice.
They allowed us to pop open a bottle of champagne and one even volunteered (without us even thinking of it) to take some pictures. They did a great job on both fingers & nails and the 10 minute massages (for $10) - both leg & back - were divine.
The gel for the pedicure was a bit surprising - I expected salty water and my foot went SKWOOOSH. But such a good massage!! If I lived in NY, this would definitely be my nail place.
They were very nice and the place was very clean, but they weren't very detailed on the paint job, especially for the price. (I'm used to a mani/pedi for $23 in my 'hood) When wearing dark colors in the fall, you have to be very meticulous. I had to point out quite a few spots that were missed. They are close to my office though, so I'll probably give them another shot.
This is my go-to spot for pedicures - specifically when I'm going with clients since the atmosphere is great (big, clean, open, nice but not cheesy decor). It's in the Union Square area so it's conveniently located and they really do go the extra mile for a nicer pedicure.
They put that gel in the water so its moisturizing and feels great, then they give you an extra long foot massage.
The technicians are always really sweet and another bonus is they always have the newest OPI and Essie colors.
Definitely recommended though if you're looking for a nail place with like $20 mani/pedis, this is prob not what you are looking for. I think the combo is like, $30 total.
This is the best nail salon in the city. Very clean and like the other review said, they take the time. The pedicure is great and the manicure is very clean. You get your own set of tools that were cleaned well. Every single person in the salon does a great job (I have had them all).

Whenever I visit NYC (home), my hags and I always hold a Beauty Day, which is nothing more than 8-12 hours of pure self-indulgence, and our first stop is usually Bellissimo Nails & Spa.
I got my first pedicure here and it was phenomenal. Imagine this. My friends, Stephanie and Maureen, and I sitting at adjacent spa chairs doing what I thought girls did in a nail salon: "teen beat"-ing and flipping through magazines (wiki wiki: http://en.wikipedia.or...)... until the lady pulled out the pumice stone. As soon as she started scrubbing the soles of my feet, I BURIED my face into my trashy magazine and start cracking up! The lady was almost afraid to start scrubbing my other foot! She probably thought I was crazy. Some would argue that I am.
We then moved to the manicurist station and started talking about the night before, where we spent the night catching up with old friends at some East Village dive bar until the jukebox decided to become decent. During my manicure, I decided to demonstrate one of my friend's dance moves (imagine an awkward combination of "walk like egyptian" and "the sprinkler"). Aside from the few awkward stares, everyone got a good laugh out of it. Laissez les bon temps roulez, right?
The manicure: no matter how busy they are, they take the time to clean up everything. The manicurists are almost neurotic when it comes to looking for hang nails and cuticles.
The pedicures: the thought still makes me giggle.
If you're looking for an clean, upscale-ish, but nicely priced salon in a convenient location (right by Union Square), this would be your joint. It's a bellissimo choice!

Great Great Great. One of the nicest places for the price. The staff is wonderful, and the owner is very kind. Tastefully decorated, feels like a serene oasis in the middle of the East Village. This is the only place I go for manicure/pedicures!
