Belle De Jour is an amazing B&B located comfortably outside the town center of Healdsburg, perched on top of rolling hills (across fom SImi winery). We stayed in a VERY nice, big cabin, with a whirlpool bath, and a great comfortable bed. The hosts are very nice, down to earth people and have run Belle De Jour for 20-plus years. They made the stay great. We've stayed in a lot of B&Bs in the US and Europe and this rates right up there with the best.
I'm going to disagree with the other reviewer here and say the breakfast was very good and filled us up till mid-afternoon (with help from the awesome bakery/pastry place on Healdsburg square)... As for wine and cheese... You'll have already had all that during your afternoon in Dry Creek/ Alexander Valley. I recommend you save yourself for a nice meal in Healdsburg.
Anyway, Belle De Jour is fantastic and we'll be back!
Another outstanding spot in Healdsburg. Set off the road, it is easy to miss. The room we had was 800 square feet with the most beautiful jacuzzi tub I've ever seen. It was a signed limited edition imported from France.
The hosts are gracious. The property is large, with great vistas.
Why not 5 stars : Decent breakfast, though not outstanding. No afternoon wine and cheese. Not in walking distance to downtown.
