i was really impressed. Dr. White is a nice guy, very knowledgeable & compassionate. There was no upsell.
I haven't found a new vet since I fired the fat jerk who wanted to put one of my cats down cause of what he called a "severe" osteoarthritis. [BTW - we cured the limping and discomfort by adding Wellness Dry Food with Glucosamine & Chondroitin to his diet; something the fat jerk never suggested.]
My latest cat health drama has been a cold. Mr. I'm-too-sexy-for-this-house* has been sneezing and congested since March. (Its now August) I have been to 2 different vets on this - one said he had a cold and gave me anti-biotics. Did nothing and cost $175. Another tried to convince me that he did have a cold, gave me more anti-biotics, and tried to sell me heartworm medications for cats. Caching! $187.
Really? Heartworms? In the last 30 years, we have had more than 20 cats in my extended family only 2 of which died before the age of 18; my father's cat lived past 24! Not a single cat I have ever had ever came down with heartworm. Ever. It would make absolutely no sense in my multi-cat household for a prevention regimen that would end up costing hundreds yearly.
Any way - enough of my rant. Back to talking about Mr. I'm-too-sexy-for-this-house* and Dr. White.
After asking a few questions and listening to quick recap of the feline health history in my house, Dr. White decided that more than likely the cat had allergies. Yay! He prescribed some anti-histamines and Mr. I'm-too-sexy* has stopped sneezing and his congestion cleared and he is back to being his happily arrogant self.
The visit was more than affordable - downright cheap - the people in the office were caring and engaged. I will most definitely be back. I am confident that my cats will receive good vet care and I will be able to afford it.
(*Not his real name. Mr I'm too sexy... would prefer to remain anonymous since his millions of admirers might disturb his otherwise peaceful existence ;-) -

Superior! Experienced! Caring! Compassionate! Outstanding! 5-stars!
I recently put my 16 yr. old dog to sleep. They had been his vet for many years. I believe one of the years he survived for so long is the excellent care he received due to their exceptional care & knowledge. (They also have great prices.) They use old fashioned common sense! In the past couple of years, they had to help ME gradually accept the fact that he was old and slowing down. Their staff is very loving & caring.
Their groomer is wonderful.
There are 3 vets and I used all of them.
They were also wonderful with my elderly cat. They pulled all of his teeth & he lived another 5 years with kitty HIV!
Unfortunately, I seem to find a lot of injured stray cats & they never turn them away.
They are quiet heros in my book!
If you want to adopt a kitten PLEASE go to this clinic! They always have a few available for adoption! -

We've been going here for years. The vets at Bellaire Richmond gave our elderly cats excellent care in their last years of life. I always felt like they really cared for our cats while we were going very frequently as one developed kidney problems and the other developed cancer.
