I always go here for a reflexology massage and have a great experience. They have a particular male therapist, whose name escapes me, but who I adored. He was very attentive and always talked with me afterwards about particular problem points for me and how I could remedy those.
I did get a manicure here one time and thought it was far less than stellar. Rushed and not excellent technique. Skip the nail services and go for a more "spa-like" experience.
I can't comment on the things I don't get done here, but if you are looking for laser hair removal, I would say come here. Joy does an amazing job, the price is right and she's a registered nurse. I have gone to other places before and have been burned pretty badly. Joy is the best and I wouldn't trust anyone else.
Enter through the front, and you're in the salon; enter through the back to access the spa. They offer a broad range of services -- cut/color/etc, massage, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion , even plastic surgery! My friend gets her hair done here and it always looks marvelous, but I can't vouch for those services personally. I go for the waxing. This spa is extremely convenient to my house, but I'd go even if it was on the other side of town. Prices are low to moderate for the services provided. The first floor houses the reception desk and a small selection of beauty products. The services are on the top floor, up a grand marble-looking staircase. The waiting area is plush and draped in swaths of fabric, soft music in the background, and a cart with tea and coffee fixings. There are currently three wax aestheticians, and my favorite is Angela -- less chatty and very meticulous, and with a fab French accent that makes you feel you're being pampered in Paris. This spa is pretty new -- the building was constructed only a couple of years ago -- but I have noticed in my last few visits that the room specs seem to be slipping (linens on the beds need changing or replacing as you can see spilled wax/stains on them).
I did venture into the nail salon once for one of their top-tier pedicures, but never again. The room and products were about as impressive as the dime-a-dozen nail salons I usually visit; and I wound up getting rushed through the process (paid for an extended foot and calf massage, and honestly don't remember receiving a massage at all!) as they hurried to turn me over to my next appointment which was for a wax. Just make sure the receptionists allow ample time for back-to-back spa bookings, so the staff doesn't feel those same time constraints.
Small complaints aside, I really like this place and would definitely recommend it for all your prettification needs.
