I've had Bekins move me 4 times in the past 10 years and each time they've done a wonderful job. They are always on-time, prepared and hard working. My most recent move from Long Beach to LA was a bit more complicated. My items were sorted into move, store and junk. I walked them through everything, they not only got it right but they went above and beyond. Our first stop was the new house, I decided at the last minute that one of the couches needed to be stored because of space. Didn't even phase them, wrapped it carefully and put it back inside the truck. We then went to the storage unit and their truck was too big for the receiving area, again they adapted and not only got it done but they organized my items in such a way that they were all readily accessible but they left me a clear path allowing me to more easily navigate the unit.
What impressed me the most was the way they dealt with obstacles, rather than whine about why something couldn't be done they came to me with suggestions and helped me make a decision. I don't care what you do for a living, an expert is an expert and THAT'S who I want to work with. -

Bekins is awesome!!!!
I used them to move from New York to LA and then from LA to Seattle....they were a good price, they packaged everything for me and BOB, he is wonderful! I am not sure if he's the big boss or what but he knows his stuff...very professional.
Go Bob and Go Bekins. I trusted them with heirlooms they are wonderful! -

If your looking for a good moving company...DO NOT USE BEKINS!!
We had our laptop PC stolen from us during our move from LA to Lo Jolla. After calling the company they were of no help to us and backed there movers. They may offer you a good deal but its not worth them stealing your items to make up the price difference. -

Hit or miss, depending on the guys who show up at your door on moving day. Two years ago, I used Bekins for a move from Tustin to LBC. Two guys moved me in less than 6 hours and it set me back around $600. They were quick, nothing was damaged, and everything was in the right place. Based on that experience, I decided to give Bekins a call again this month for a move from LBC to Pasadena. Although I had the exact same amount of stuff, they sent three guys. Fine, it'll just be quicker, right? Wrong. Granted, we stopped at my BF's place to pick up a couple pieces of furniture and boxes. More than ten hours later, all the boxes, regardless of the label for the location, were in the living room, the hardwood floors were scuffed, and some of the furniture was scratched. The pisser was that I provided lunch, as well as numerous bottles of water during the move. I paid $900 but that was only after I called the Bekins rep and complained. Moving's hard. Finding a good mover is even harder.
