There are some things that I feel just don't translate to veganism. I don't care what you say about tempeh strips and whatnot, bacon just isn't....andTofurky, ehh.
Thankfully, the language of chocolatey goodness is universal!
My friends got me a birthday cake from here and I am now a huge fan of Beet Box. Everyone was very intrigued (did it actually have beets in it?) and somewhat skeptical, but it the yumminess pretty much spoke for itself. The cake was dense, dark, and chocolatey, and not too sweet -- with the perfect amount of frosting.
Apparently they couldn't have been nicer to deal with, too. So thank you, Beet Box, for helping to make this an awesome birthday! (I can also report that the cake was great for breakfast the next day.)
I agree, they need a storefront (I can't imagine them not doing well, as there really aren't any retail vegan bakeries at all here)! But until that day comes, I'm content just to know they're here. -

I rarely bother to write reviews for Yelp, but I'm making an exception for Beet Box. My husband can't have dairy products, so for our first anniversary celebration we ordered their Pecan-Pear Pie and two Butternut Squash Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast. Everything was simply amazing and you'd certainly never guess it was vegan. The pie was the best pie I've ever eaten, for sure! We were hoping the cinnamon rolls would have a bit more of the squash flavor, but they were still absolutely delicious. I only wish they had a store front in Denver that carried all of their pies and pastries.
We'll be ordering from them again in the future. Thanks Beet Box! -

LOVE these kids, LOVE these pastries! Cardamom-Almond cookies, Chai Spice muffins and Apple-Cinnamon scones? YUM! And friends, just so you all know, this is where I'd like my next birthday cake to come from.
Seriously, just back from Portland, OR and being a Denver native, I'm having some intense desires to go to vegan bakeries and restaurants and shops... sadly, Denver is lacking in these, so we must foster our vegan community! (I say this even though I am not really a vegan... mostly, but I probably would be if there were more options like this!)
Thank you for contributing to the Denver revolution, Beet Box. I will always be a loyal customer! And since I can buy at Pablo's and Paris on the Platte (places I already frequent), it's super convenient. -

Denver has needed some good vegan baked goods for a while. Watercourse has made them out of City O City for a while and they're alright but Beet Box is awesome and all over town. I've seen them at Pablo's and at Paris on the Platte now.

Beet Box is primarily a wholesale bakery, supplying to local coffee shops, so don't just stop by. They don't have a storefront where you can stop in and browse. You can call and make an order. It's unfortunate - they should have a storefront-type of bakery. They would do well.
