Ask for Anna McMurrey - She does an incredible job on our Dog Trina who recently had heart worms.
If you are willing to venture outside of the loop you can get great pet care at a discount to in-the-loopers on Beechnut. Its not the nicest area but the clinic is nice and the Vet's and Techs will take care of you and your loved one.

NIce people. but it cost more than i expected, especially for a rescue. (i should clarify - "another" rescue. we have 6 cats and a slew of fosters ..)
It cost $180 by the time the shots, exam etc were done on a perfectly healthy 4 month sold kitten... I will definitely use this vet as my primary care vet but for shots and stuff I will be going to Pet Care express. -

I didn't mind coming here for exams, because I personally always thought they did a good job, and for some reason I always preferred Dr. Humphrey, not that I associated with all the doctors and he was my favorite, but out of who I did associate with, I somehow just preferred him. He always associated with me on what this/that disease was and whatever medicine there is they have for it, and what exactly it does, I felt he was very thorough. Dr. Anna, forgive me, I forget her last name...is very caring, but I never felt she explained things thoroughly enough. She is very caring though, I remember when my brother's dog was in a dog fight and was badly mauled and she definitely checked in on us, called me, funny, and wanted to hear back from us as well. Although, I do think that the veterinarians here are knowledgable yeah I would hope so...I'm not really sure if the prices are even worth it anymore. I've been coming here occasionally for 3-4 years now by myself or with/for others and its always been okay. Last time I came here for both my dogs shots, with 6 months heartworm pills and nail clippings for a good 4 bills. Gosh...break my bank...and today I came here, my dog got diagnosed with Clostridium...I;m thinking okay...clostridium.,...what Clostridium, so there systems were unfortunately down, and I waited for a while, because I wanted to know the exact bacteria and what they;re seeing and when I got the papers from Dr. Matt (never had him, but a nice gentleman), as soon as I saw the spores, I said oh, Clostridium, I'm getting clostridium perfringens. I knew exactly what it was now, and I didn;t see a point to get 40 pills of metronidazole now for my dog. Well, save some for later. But a fecal staining exam, a physical exam, and pills all for $80...I don;t know....I got the money to pay for it, but the prices are so steep.
$40 for a physical exam
$22 for a fecal staining
and $18 for metronidazole 40 tabs
TO THE POINT:
The staff is fine, and always fully staffed in my opinion
The veterinarians seem very knowledgable and caring
The prices are somewhat ridiculous lol...some things!
Clean facility
Emergencies are taken care of fast
My suggestion: always specifically inquire about vet clinic prices and of course do your research on the vet. Here, they are all good vets, but the prices...eek! I would come back here, but it really depends on what lol. -

My dog Scout was attacked by a neighbor's dog. My vet couldn't help him so we found Dr. Matt at this clinic. He was amazing! He did everything he could to help Scout. He called on the weekend just to check in on Scout. He did t surgeries prior to the amputation and did all he could to try and save Scout's leg. He went above and beyond knowing how traumatic the situation. He took all my calls and questions. I was so pleased we will now be using Dr. Matt for all out vet needs. :)

Beechnut provides excellent vet care. The staff is extreemly knowledgable and take the time to discuss your animal's care. I work in the animal care field and many of my colleauges also utilize this clinic for their pets. I was very pleased to find this gem upon recommendation from friends when I first moved to the area.
