Just got back from my $15 eyebrow wax, and I am 100% satisfied! I requested Trinity, thanks to your reviews, and the jungle above my eyes is now tamed.

Trinity was especially awesome because she seemed to take her craft more seriously than other estheticians I've been to. She had me sit under the light and she looked at my brows for a good half a minute without saying anything. She explained to me why it was a bit of a challenge, then gave me some directions about what not to do.

It turns out I've been over-plucking in some areas, which I should leave alone until the hair grows back. That way my left eyebrow will look like my right one. She said maybe I could part my hair on the other side to hide the uneven brow for now.

Looks like I've found my eyebrow waxer for good!

The only reason why this place even gets a star is because the interior is one of the better ones I've experienced and ambiance is not bad, but the service was horrible and the mani/pedi I got lack techniques and durability.

Like most customers, I was impressed with the organization system, where you sign in etc etc... but the system lost me at someone else taking my pedi seat and then (that person) being asked to leave and walk to the back room bare-feet... The manicurist I got spoke no English, I don't mean poorly spoken or having some trouble understanding me, I meant none. I am pretty sure she's a newbie or some sort, lucky me, she wasn't doing anything right or at all, and she couldn't understand any of my questions or request. Thanks to none of the other manicurist helping us out, my experience was NOT satisfactory...at all.

After paying way more than I usually do for this horrible manicure, I realized my nail polish was "peeling" off my nail the next day. Not chipping, not little bits falling off b/c I washed my hair... nope... big slices was peeling off and by the second-third day I have less than half of the nail color left. Usually mani/pedi's make me so happy...but uhm... this one is stressing me out way more than anything else right now!

Why have I remained loyal to Beauty Spa over the past two years for all of my eyebrow waxing, manicure and pedicure needs?

Because my mother would approve of this place!

A talented and veteran cosmetologist, my mother taught me the in's and out's of a good salon. She was my hair/nail/skin guru for my entire life and now that I live so far from home, I've needed to seek out a go-to salon and giving my business to just any beauty haven would simply not do! Have been schooled in the finer points of cleanliness, absolute germ no-nos, and just general customer care, I can certify that Beauty Spa scores big in all of these categories--remembering my name, accommodating me even when I come close to closing time and generally just being consistent with the high quality of their services.

For brows (typically $15, light shaping is $12), there is no better lady than Trinity. She is quick, precise, super-friendly and I've never gotten so many compliments on my brows!

For nails ($35 manicure/pedicure), I've not been disappointed by any of the technicians. I've had manicures and pedicures by nearly every staff member here, and am pleased with the results each and every time.

With fair prices, a location close to home and the peace of mind that comes with Mom's approval, Beauty Spa is my beauty spot.

I love Beauty Spa.  I go here once every two weeks, usually for a manicure (i have acrylic nails), pedicure, or eyebrow wax.

I go to Jimmy to get my nails done, and he does a fabulous job!  He is chatty and funny once he is comfortable with you, and he always takes his time and makes my nails look perfect.  And he draws the cutest little designs on my toes, too ;)  Plus he'll tell me if the color I chose will come out ugly.  And I appreciate that kind of honesty.

I've had my eyebrows waxed here a few times as well, I think by Trinity.  She is quick and it's pretty painless, and does a great job shaping... she even pointed out some of my faux pas in plucking my own for years and reshaped... now they look great!

The physical space is clean and bright, they have a great selection of polishes and many chairs, and they don't talk about you the entire time you're sitting there (like many other nail salons I've been to).  I'm so lucky Beauty Spa is right near my house, but it's definitely worth a special trip!

I got my eyebrows waxed here almost 2 weeks ago now, and I am still getting compliments, such as: "wow your eyebrows look perfect!". quick, clean, friendly atmosphere, and most certainly the best $15 ive ever spent on hair removal.

about a year ago i got a mani-pedi. loved the chairs, the products seemed rather chemically (i.e. a blue gel called 'callus remover'), and the paint job (french manicure) was top notch.

Beauty Spa is great - definitely call ahead and reserve a time - and be sure to ask for Mary or Jimmy in particular...they're the best.

I can't speak to nail color or eyebrow waxing since, as a guy, I don't get into all that, but as a comfortable place to go and get my hands and feet cleaned up and massaged while getting the chair massage of all chair massages, this place works for me.

I have been a customer for over a year, due solely to Trinity's expertise, kindness, and deft skills. She is talented and she is incredibly thoughtful. I always know I'm in good hands when I schedule an appointment with Trinity. Her specialties run the gamut, so rest assured that no matter what you ask for, you'll be very pleased with the results!

This place would receive a 4 star because it's a good $12 manicure, except for the fact that my boyfriend got his first manicure there today and they charged him $12 even though he didn't have any polish or buffing. Now I could understand if they charged him the full price if he had had his nails buffed, but the fact is they cut his cuticles, and gave him a massage. They could at least cut $2 bucks off that right?

But this place is open on Sunday, huge plus, there was no wait, and the staff was very nice. Though it's a little strange that Chanel polish color is $5 more I'd say this is a good, cheap place to get your nails done.

I went here to get a basic pedicure since my heels were a mess and I was feeling stressed.  I didn't want anything fancy, just what I consider the basics.  A short soak, scrubbing/buffing my heels to get them smooth, and simple nail polish.  No leg rub or extensive work needed.  I usually got to Fantasy Nails in Arlington, but I tried Beauty Spa since it's closer to home.

I called a few hours ahead and got an appointment for the same day.  When I arrived they were organized.  I was in the appointment book, they confirmed the service I wanted and directed me to pick a color.  I was slightly annoyed that they tried to upsell me to a mani-pedi but it wasn't bad.

I got in the chair for pedi.  It was clean and comfortable.  However, the technician didn't do a good job.  She seemed distracted, gave me the quickest scrub ever, and then was persistent about upselling me to a mani-pedi.  I'm OK with being asked once, but after I say no I don't want to be pestered.

After she painted my toes, she sent me to a  drying station.  Mine was jammed into the store front window and had very poor lighting (the track lighting was pointed at the manicure stations).  It was also cramped, uncomfortable and the drying station only had the UV light (no fan).  I sat for at least a half hour and two cycles of the light.  No one came over to check on me.  It was hard to see in the dim light if my nails were dry.  They seemed to be, so I put on my sandals and went home.  When I got there I took a good look at my feet.  My nail polish had become messed up and my heels had big obvious patches of dead skin and didn't feel smooth at all.

TOTAL FAIL!

Yesterday I went to Fantasy Nails in Arlington.  For the same price ($25) I got a long soak, thorough scrubbing, leg massage, and attention to detail.  I had asked for a mani-pedi and when my friend mentioned to me we were short on time the technician sped things up without any sloppiness.  My feet are smooth and my hands look amazing.

Went here with my friend to get manicures and pedicures without an appointment and it was no problem! The people there are very nice and thorough. I had picked out a nail color and while the manicurist was poking at them, she said, "why don't you use this color instead--it'll look better." She was right!

Very clean, very polite, good place to give my friend her first ever mani/pedi :o)

This place is a bit "assembly line", but the staff are super nice and they do a good job. Been here a few times for mani's and pedi's and have been pleased every time. It's a clean, largely no-frills spa with multiple pedicure chairs and manicure stations. They also do eyebrow waxing, which others have mentioned.

I'm super tough on my hands, so it is typically a miracle if I can keep my nails looking decent for 2-3 days after a manicure. Ones from these guys have looked good for over a week, so I'm psyched about that. Pedicures have looked nice for 3+ weeks, at which point my nail growth is what is making them look bad.

Great, reasonably-priced neighborhood spa to pop in for a mani/pedi, with or without an appointment. This is definitely my "go-to" place!

I'm sorry, but this was the worst eyebrow wax I've ever gotten. Ive always had really good experiences with eyebrow shaping, but not only did she manage to screw up the shape and make me look perpetually surprised, she also ripped a chunk of skin off and left a bunch of pimples/redness in the waxed area that lasted for a few days after.

As a masochist who happens to enjoy the feel of hairs being individually yanked out of her face, I've only had my eyebrows threaded over the past three years.  Lately, though, I've grown iffy on the cost/value/pretentiousness factor of aestheticians in downtown Boston and decided to try Trinity for a wax.

My verdict (corroborating all the others):  YAY!!!!  I'm in love love LOVE with her work.  After a short 5 minute wait, she sat me down and sighed, "ooh, I don't like what's going on with your brows", pointing out the thinner spots and subpar shape that threading hath wrought.  She then prepped, cleaned, waxed, trimmed, and applied aloe to my brows and I was giddy over the results.  $12 for what probably qualified as a cleanup.  I especially appreciated the bright, clean, welcoming facilities and laid-back ambiance - no more Newbury St. threading for this girl.  Likely 5 stars once I try more services.

I've been going to Beauty Spa for years, and it's the only place I'll go for my nails.

Typically, I just get a pedicure, because for some reason, I can't even get 10 feet out of the salon door before I chip a manicure. Seriously, it's not cute for me. I'm like a child. The few that I've had done there came out looking nice and the mani/pedi for $35 is a great value.

Anyway, since the expansion, they've added plenty of chairs, the polish lasts a long time, and they do a great job. Beauty Spa is also one of the few places I've been where the staff wear gloves, and I appreciate the concern for both their health and mine. Also, this has not so much to do with the quality of the nail work, but a year or so ago, I came in at the last minute to get a pedi before driving to an out of town wedding, and dropped my phone in the pedicure tub. The owner hustled it out, popped out the battery, and set it up in front of a little nail fan while I finished. After a few hours recovering, the phone  went on to function perfectly for many more months. Moral of the story: the staff are really nice and go out of their way to accommodate you. That, and if you're the kind of person who's not responsible enough for manicures, keep your phone away from the pedicure tub.

I recently became a fan of Trinity for eyebrows. I'm usually a threading devotee, but had several friends who swear by her work, so I came in to give it a try. She asked what I wanted in terms of thickness, spent a good amount of time sizing them up, and then gave me some tough love counseling about the fact that one eyebrow started much closer to my nose than the other, and I would need to grow the other one out before she could really even them up, so did I want her to go ahead and shape them now and come back another time? Now, there's really no way to gracefully grow out an eyebrow; you can't exactly throw on a barrette or a headband. But she was right. And I appreciated her being honest about it, rather than just pretending they were fine, slapping some wax on, and sending me on my way. They look great, and she is the only person I recommend for eyebrow waxing in Boston.

Beauty Spa is BY FAR the best of the best salon around!!  You know that horrible nail polish remover smell? Yeah, that's the one.  Well, NOT IN BEAUTY SPA!  I have never once been overpowered by the smell of chemicals upon walking in.  That's a big one for me. The girls are all fantastic, I've had different people wax my brows and they come out fantastic every time. They don't just slap on the wax and send you out the door, they really spend a lot of time styling your brows.  After applying powder, they trim with scissors, wax and treat with aloe to reduce redness.  These girls know what they're doing!

I have also walked in without an appointment EVERY TIME I have visited, the longest I've ever waited is 8 minutes.

Beauty Spa recently went through an expansion, added more massage chairs and more manicure stations.  The massage chairs are great and I have had great pedicures here!  (I don't have them done often since we all know our toes hide in comfy boots all winter long) BUT....as soon as all the rain stops, I'll be hopping into Beauty Spa, ready for my "beginning of summer" pedicure!

Prices are super reasonable, especially for a spa so close to Harvard Square.  Parking is not ideal, but if you have to park far there are many little shops to check out on your way to and from the car.  If you've just endured the pain of a bikini wax, walk up Mass Ave toward Porter Square and get yourself a treat at Rosie's Bakery. You deserve it.

Yay for Yelpers!  I took the suggestion on getting Trinity for the eyebrow wax, and I'm super happy.

Her fingers move quickly and surely, and she really seems to know what she's doing.  It WAS kinda odd that we didn't really talk about what I wanted first, so when I brought it up afterwards, she simply said that she could judge my personality from when I first walked in.  Works for me!

And I think my skin's a bit sensitive.  It swelled a bit above both eyebrows toward the center, so I put some aloe vera on it.  Thank God I didn't have many plans for the rest of the day!

By the way, the price is now $15 for shaping.  :P  ($7 for a trim)

I came here for my first eyebrow wax ever and was very pleased! I have very difficult eyebrows, she admitted it to me herself, and I was really hoping that a wax would make them look more tamed and even, and they did! The wax was very painless and very fast even with my difficult eyebrows, but she did such a great job and put a cream (aloe, I think) that got rid of the redness and puffiness instantly. Me and my friend were probably out of there in twenty minutes.

Go here for eyebrows! She's very knowledgeable, so you'll be in good hands!

The atmosphere of this place is great too! Very bright, and clean. It reminds me of most Dellaria's, but with a fraction of the price. I was serviced instantly for my brow wax, and noticed a very short wait for the manicures.

Poor Jess, I was actually with her during the Incident Of The Horribly Botched Pedicure :( I have to say that I fared better.

I've only gotten my nails done there once (that fateful day), mostly because I can't afford to get my nails done regularly. The manicurist, Mari Jane, did an excellent job on my manicure & pedicure that lasted for at least a week on my hands (I'm tough on them) and more on my feet. I've also gotten my brows waxed there. I'm not sure if I've gone to Trinity, but I've always really liked the results.

I was a little perplexed when one day, I was charged $12 instead of the $15 I was accustomed to paying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I asked someone about it, though, and it seems likely that Beauty Spa charges around $15 for shaping and $12 for maintenance. That, or the prices have gone down. In this economy, though, I'm not too convinced.

I like Beauty Spa well enough. I can usually be seen within 5 minutes, and the salon always looks very clean. Lately I've been going to a salon that's even closer to me, though, so it looks like convenience has won out.

This is a great place to get a mani/pedi and waxing ONLY if you know who you want to see.

Things I like:
-Jimmy is my go-to guy for nails (I highly recommend making an appointment with him or Helen beforehand), otherwise, some of the other technicians are VERY hit or more than likely, miss.
-The owners are really friendly, and Trinity is great at waxing eyebrows.

Things I don't like:
-The salon's overall appearance and super-clean vibe has gone downhill
-The nail polishes are old and I find myself having to bring my own color sometimes and not run the risk of having old polish applied that will chip the next day.

I'm not really the kind of person who loves assembly-line $12 mani places in the first place, so maybe it's not surprising that I didn't love my manicure here last week. The guy who did my nails rushed through filing/cuticles/massage. Many of the nail techs were eating while helping customers, and one customer got yelled at for taking too long to choose a polish color and a magazine.

However, Beauty Spa still gets 3 stars because the polish has lasted pretty well, they use good products, and it's definitely the best "cheap" nail place in the Harvard/Porter area.

I actually went here a while back (try half a year ago) and got my eyebrows waxed by Trinity. She was amazing. I have been always slightly paranoid about getting my eyebrows waxed because most people try to make my eyebrows super pointy, and I really don't like that. I'm also scared about losing my eyebrow hair (all my mom's friends keep telling me that if you get getting your eyebrows plucked the hairs just won't grow back).

Anyways, I told my concerns to Trinity, and she not only explained why people tried to make my eyebrows super pointy, but also did an amazing job. I was extremely satisfied and will go back there sometime in the next month to get mine redone.

I have been getting my eyebrow's waxed for over 10 years and it wasn't until I found Trinity who made me continuously go back to the same place and request the same person. She is truly talented! She really takes her time to make sure they are perfect....and takes the time to explain why she does what she does. I trusted her so much that I made sure that she was available before my wedding to wax my eyebrows, because I refused to have anyone else do it. As far as cost the wax is very reasonable...first time clients pay $15 (which is called a "shaping" and then $12 after that. They are very clean as well. Also the mani and pedi's are great and last a long time. I'm so glad I found this spa!

After researching my eyebrow waxing options thoroughly on Yelp, I concluded that Beauty Spa was probably my best bet here in Boston. I really put an embarrassing amount of time into this project, because... they're my eyebrows, and they're on my face. Despite what most guys may think, brows are a very important and defining aspect of the face. So needless to say, I am picky about who rips those little hairs out. Nervously, I made an appointment at Beauty Spa and crossed my fingers.

All of the hype about Trinity is true. She spent about 15 minutes making sure my brows were even, which no one has ever done for me at past waxings. She also cared about the future of my brows, and we made a plan in order for me to grow them over time into the arched shape I've always wanted. She EVEN taught me how to massage my brow bones in the morning, so that all of the new hairs will grow in the correct direction. She was so good that I insisted my sister see her the very next day for some eyebrow cleanup. She also reported a very positive session with Trinity. My sister brought her very reluctant boyfriend, who was also in need of a "little" cleanup. Yes, she does men too, and she knows how to keep it masculine. He also really liked her. Are you picking up a pattern here?

Best eyebrow waxing I have ever received, ever. And coming from a native New Yorker who likes to mention in it almost every review, I promise you, that is impressive.

I'll add to the chorus and say that Trinity really has talent when it comes to the eyebrows.

Beauty Spa is great for brows and a variety of facials. I can't vouch for the mani/pedi market, but if you're in the neighborhood, you should really give this place a chance.

Oh! And if you're a guy and are wondering, they do give facials to men! I've seen a few guys there, myself. Remember, there's no shame in wanting to look good. :)

New to town I tried several yelp reviewed spas before settling on Beauty Spa as my go-to location.  They have nice late hours and have always fit me in, even when my friend and I arrived 15 minutes before closing on a Wednesday night.

My manicures have always looked great and after three this summer even my bare nails are strong and long.  The pedicures are indestructible; mine stood up to a week at the beach and non-stop open-toed shoes.  The only reason I got another one is because I wanted a new color.

I'm picky about my brows and Trinity stood up to my high standards in waxing and  was thorough and pain free for legs and underarms too.

When I decided on a whim to get a massage I was offered an immediate appointment and enjoyed the massage, the therapist was responsive to my requests for deep tissue and focused on the areas I requested.

All of the above available at prices that seem great; even cheaper then my old DC bargain Joy's Spa.

I found a lot of the poorer reviews of this place kind of snotty. I am not sure what other people are accustomed to, but I had a really nice time here. I got a french pedicure and, taking everyone's advice, I also went to Trinity to get my eyebrows done. For a while now I've only had them threaded, but her reviews were so great that I went back. And boy am I glad. She's amazing, it doesn't hurt (she uses cream wax) even half as much as regular wax (the yellow stuff) and it's faster than threading, so it's easier than that as well. The woman has magic hands and she is very tactful and very pleasant -- she has very light hands, it doesn't feel like a hippo's sitting on your face while she works.

The pedi was also nice -- however, because I was freaked out by people complaining of infections, I decided to cut my nails before going. They thought I was a little weird, but this way I don't have to worry about my toe's health and my nails look great. They did the white strip, then a base, then color, then top and it looks great and seems like it will last quite a while.

My friend and I decided to make this a once a month place from now on. It's well priced and just affordable enough to do it about once a month. I finally found a place in Cambridge that lives up to the standards of places I've been to in Los Angeles. YAY! It was a lot of fun and I am one very happy camper.

Ok guys, I know, it doesn't sound good at all.  Hot wax being poured on your eyebrows followed by the repeated feeling of a band-aid being ripped off a tender area of your face.  One wrong move and you look like Pink from The Wall or worse, an aspiring boy band singer.

Trinity came highly recommended and I can see why.  My eyebrows, which once resembled frizzy caterpillars, were now even and the right width and there were no wild, free roaming hairs to be found.  Trinity was patient, comforting and incredibly thorough.  If your female friends have been prodding you for years to get those wild whiskers waxed then I would highly suggest giving Trinity a call.

I love this place.  Trinity is the only one I let rip hair from my body simply because she does it so skillfully, less painfully than others I've experienced and she's so damned cute!  She loves to chat and so do I which she told me was great because it lets her practice her already really good English.  Love it!
Their new digs are swanky and I can't wait to get a facial.  I like to make appointments just to be nice, but there's really no need.  They're so accommodating and nice, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes when I've walked in.  Even if I did have to wait, they have tons of magazines to keep me entertained.

This is the best mani/pedi and eye brow waxing place in town. Prices are great and you can usually wak in. Even when they are full, you usually only have to wait a couple minutes.
Trinity is the best eye brow waxer I have had my entire life. Her touch is so light and soothing. She makes me want to take her home with me so she can tuck me into bed everynight, not in a creepy way.

"Meh. I've experienced better."  That's how Yelp describes a 2-star rating, and sure enough, that's how I'd describe my reaction to my experience there.

Before I was actually able to get a pedicure here, I was once turned away. At about 12:30 on a Saturday, I was told that they *might* be able to squeeze me in around 3pm, but that they were very busy and I should come back another time. Granted, it *was* a Saturday, but the person who sent me away was a little gruff as well. Had there been another place in the immediate vicinity of Judy Jetson that would have been able to do my nails, I'd have gone there instead.

Still, I was desperate as I was attending a surprise birthday party later in the day, and would be wearing kickass open-toed shoes, which meant a pedicure was crucial. I stopped back over to Beauty Spa at about 2:30, and miraculously, they were able to fit me in.

They pitched the Chanel nail polish line, telling me up-front that they're getting feedback that it lasts longer than their standard OPI products. For a scant $7 more, they could use the Chanel on my nails. I passed.

Other than the Chanel-pushing, the prices seem to be on-par with similar places. The staff was friendly (eventually) and the facility appeared to be acceptably clean.

The primary reason for my 2-star review is the abysmal lack of longevity of my pedicure. Typically, a pedicure will remain presentable for me at least a month - with OPI products, incidentally. This is taking into account that I am frequently barefoot, wear flip-flops quite frequently, and am... well, I'm kinda klutzy and strengthy which means I stub my toes at every conceivable opportunity. Still, my pedicures typically lasy 4-6 weeks before beginning to chip.

On the day I received my pedicure, I also had a manicure which chipped literally less than 24 hours later. While I'm not going to even pretend that my manicures last very long, I can usually anticipate enjoying pretty fingernails for 3-5 days. Notsomuch this time.

I think in the future, I'll go elsewhere. For the same amount of cash, I can get a longer-lasting pedi and a lot less 'tude. (:

Despite getting a very even, matching eyebrow waxing, I will not return here.  It is too bad, because it was a nice atmosphere and I felt like waxer, Rosie, was listening to my concerns.  I didn't have to wait long and the place was clean and beautiful.

But I got burned so badly that my skin actually peeled.  The day after, both eyelids were very puffy and red.  It's been about 6 days and the skin is done peeling but its still discolored.  This has never happened to me before.  The wax felt really sticky.

She told me later that I need to tell the waxer I have sensitive skin.  Shouldn't this be something the professional asks _me_?  I felt like I was being blamed for getting burned.  Also, if there is something they can do about sensitive skin, why don't they always do it?  Up until now, I didn't have this issue, so I would not have known to tell the waxer.   I'm thinking the wax they have is either too hot or too sticky.  Eyelids.  Burned.

By the way, having plucking after burning is breath-taking.

I'm not a girly girl, and I don't go for pedicures that often.  When I do, I don't like to be poked or pushed or prodded - or pressured to buy extra services I don't want.  The women here were very nice, and very patient while I picked out colors.  The space is clean and relaxing.  I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated, and pedicures are $25 (I think manicures are $15).  Because they're so chill, I actually WANT to get regular pedicures.  Go figure.

*edit*

If I could add a sixth star, I would.  They recently expanded to the space next door (go local business, go!).  When I showed up 45 minutes before closing with a friend, without an appointment, they squeezed us in anyway.  Nicest people ever.  I'd recommend getting an appointment during the after-work rush.

I came here based on yelp reviews.  I started my new job today and I needed to get my nails and eyebrows done ASAP.  So I went yesterday morning in the pouring rain. (no umbrella).  I have no idea why we did not bring one.

This place is a few minutes from Porter Square.  The place looks brand new,  I got my nails done with no wait at all.  I had to wait for Trinity she was doing eyelash extensions.  The eyebrow station is on the other side of where they do nails.

Trinity told it to me straight.  She said your eyebrows are not even and they are not the right shape.  She really listened to what you wanted.  I did not want them too thin.  She recommended I grow them in a bit to get the best shape for my face.

I will def switch from where I usually get my eyebrows done to this place.  It is cheaper and if you do not mind getting your eyebrows done in front of others than what are you waiting for?? Trinity was great.  I will be back.

I walked in for an eyebrow wax (just a clean up), the place was obviously busy and I wasn't surprised when the woman at the front said it would be 10-15 minute wait.

After 30 minutes, I finally got to sit in the waxing chair.  The woman did a great job, my eyebrows still look great 2 weeks later, I wasn't even red for very long.  However, the next day the skin around my eyebrows broke out like crazy and it was very painful.

I plan to try this place one more time (and let her know about my sensitive skin issue) before I call it quits. It has good atmosphere and the women were very apologetic about my long wait.

Never again. Never. Why? Because now, many months after my pedicure here where they clipped my big toe nail horribly, it is still healing after a round of antibiotics and then toenail surgery. Yeah, they screwed it up so badly, I had to go to a podiatrist to get a sliver off the side of the nail sliced off, and believe me, that was so not fun, nor was the massive infection leading to it. You don't even get good drugs when they cut up your toe, just advil and some bloody gauze and time to think about what you've done. My doctor took one look at the nail, and gave me a look, and I stammered, yeah, I know, but I know better than to do that, I swear, it was this pedicure place...*shame* So even though apparently they don't butcher everyone's feet, they sure as hell aren't getting a second chance at mine.

Great place for eyebrow shaping!  I've gone to many different places (waxing/threading) and was never really completely satisfied with my eyebrows.  Finally, I read about Trinity on Yelp and decided to give it a go.
I normally don't like waxing, but it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.  Trinity did a great job with my eyebrows.  She first took her time to study them before actually working on them.  She said because I am Asian, a more definite arch would bring out my eyes.  (This was exactly what I was looking for and had actually thought it was impossible with my eyebrows...)  Ten minutes later, my eyebrows were shaped perfectly to my liking!  I will definitely be there again.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
The girl was quick, water was slightly warm, the price was reasonable ($25 for pedicure) but not the result. On the top their mini-massage was really mini. Two hours later my big toes got ruined. No idea why it happened since I dried it very well.  Customer service: they didn't offer magazine and where is nothing on the wall to look at. And finally, girl said to me the same phrase she said to two clients before me: "I like the color"!
I don't think I'll be back.

UPDATE: One star (before I gave two) for the email I got from the owner today saying following: "Well  consider this these people are Vietnamese and they can not speak English very well and that they can only speak a couple of words. And at their age they can not fully take in the language. and you out all people use that against us? You must be very proud of yourself.  To have the courage of making fun of their speech. How despicable"
What is really despicable that is your message. You've better to improve your service and possibly English if you feel it's not good enough. I didn't make any fun of anyone's English, I didn't even know that she is Vietmanese. I just wrote the review about your POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Btw her English was very good.

***4/3/08*** Pedi for the first time here - impeccable and relaxing. The massage chairs feel so nice.

Trinity is a genius!!!! I read the reviews and took a chance- you all were right. Trinity is amazing - I had been having my eyebrows threaded for the past three years. Then I was looking at some old pictures and noticed my eyebrows use to look much prettier when I was getting them waxed. Nervous and unsure of where to go and who to trust  - I read yelp and took a chance. I am so glad I did, my eyebrows look pretty once again and she also pointed out that my eyebrows were too light. She did not try to press me into letting her dye them - she just wanted me to know. I decided she was right (self tanner had faded my naturally dark eyebrows) I dyed them and OMG what a difference in my whole face and my eyes. Thank you Trinity!!!!

I decided this morning that today was the day I'd get my first brazilian wax. I tried contacting several well-reviewed places in the somerville area, only to find that they were closed or the recommended person was not available on Mondays. Dilemma. I bravely decided to walk into the first decent looking place i saw on Mas Ave. Beauty Spa caught my eye, it's located just before Porter square, it looked big and clean so I decided to go in and check out the prices.

A brazilian ranges from $45-55, not the cheapest I've heard of in this area but I knew if i waited another day I'd probably lose my gumption and wuss out. Trinity was available right away and she took me through the salon, into a back room which was modest but very clean and comfortable. I'll spare all of the horrific details but Trinity did an awesome job. She was quick, talkative, and made me feel comfortable after I told her that it was my first time. I wouldn't say that the experience was painless, but it was much easier to handle than I was expecting. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone nervous about their first bikini wax and I'll be going back regularly from now on.

Trinity also mentioned that her specialty are eyebrows so I'll probably have her take care of those her next time i'm in there too. The only reason i'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because it was a little more expensive than i was hoping.

This is a WONDERFUL nail salon! My mother and I visit regularly and get lovely service and great mani/pedis. The salon is clean and pleasant. The staff is incredibly nice, and even if they are busy you don't usually have to wait. The prices are very reasonable and they don't have those loud, invasive TV blaring, so you can really relax! I've recommended Beauty Spa to my friends, and I would recommend it to yelp readers as well!
