OH-EM-GEE!
I love this place! Despite d fact that this place was way smaller than I expected, the friendliness and politeness of the ladies that took care of my baby and nephew are over-the-top!
This was my very first time bringing my baby and nephew to a groomer bcoz they just refusing me cutting their nails and all the other lovely stuff I should've done if they could just let me. So, I "yelped" a dog's salon, and BAM! This place stood out of all the salon for doggies.
I took mines on a Wednesday afternoon. Although I've arrived late to our appointment, Nanako was still so kind to put on a smile and took the time consulting with me all those stuff regarding the haircut, shaving, and/or any skin problems. I was so pleased in the beginning that I actually had my nephew's nail clipped at the same time (I wasn't going to have anything done on my doggy nephew because he was still kinda like a baby-5mon).
So, the process took about 2 hours, but during the "wait" me and d bf went to Ala Moana, and I just couldn't stop talking about how my baby will look and how I excited I was.
Nanako finally called and "oh-mi-effin-geek-goddesz"....my baby look so amazingly adorable! I couldn't stop hugging and kissing him. He smelt so good too! Then my nephew was just the same. Hahaha. But his nails were much shorter and don't hurt us no more.
I will definitely go back to this place. Next time, I'll check out the cute stuff they had on that little shelf by the door.

I love Beauty Salon for Doggies. They're very friendly & take good care of your little baby :)
The first time I took my dog, I was introduced to Emi who did a quick consultation on my dog's basic grooming. She asked for specifics like what areas did I want trimmed or cleaned up, how short I wanted her trimmed, etc. I didn't realize there were that many questions for a doggie grooming!
I left & came back around an hour or two later to pick up my baby and she was sweet smelling and oh so pretty :) Before she went to see emi she looked like albert einstein with crazy long hair on her ears and head. She looked like the pup I bought at petland when I picked her up... oh & all of the dogs leave with a cute bandana tied around their necks.
Another very nice touch was around a week after my pup's grooming, I received a nice note in the mail from Beauty Salon for Doggies complete with the cutest picture of my dog I've ever seen. She's all smiles with her tongue sticking out :) That personal touch will keep me coming back :)
I just love it when your groomer is as much of a fan of your dogs as you are. Emmy takes such good care of my babies and they come out so clean and adorable...we only go about 3 times a year but each and every time I've seen how attentive the staff and everyone is to my babies...reporting on everything that might have happened and on their skin situation in case that's an issue. They get busy...but they try to fit you in whenever they can too...a definately plus for busy busy people.
Nanako is a great groomer and very friendly, Sammy really liked her which is not always the case with grooming places, and it's important to us he feel comfortable where he gets groomed.
We went in for a basic maintenance which included nail trimming/grinding, cutting on the hair around the paws and backside, ear cleaning/face cleaning and shampoo/dry. All of this for $38 which I think is very reasonable.
Another great plus is that the place is clean, parking is free and they also sell cute dog-related items and toys. I highly recommend this salon for grooming especially if you live in town.
UPDATE: I love this salon they are super friendly and they did a perfect job on my dogs hair. I am going to go back.....if its your first time going to get your dog groomed this is the perfect place to go! Its a little hard to find but the experience makes up for it! The price it worth it too!
I have to agree with all the reviews that I have so far I very impressed with the fast service and Nanako being so friendly on the phone.
I called to her to set up an appointment and she called me back very fast.
I have an appointment this weekend for my puppy and I am very excited to take him there! After I see the hair cut I change this rating...so be on the lookout for an UPDATE!
A doggie heaven located in the middle of town. Can be a bit hard to find since they are located between Pony taxi and Suzi's Secrets or whatever that new sex shop is on kapiolani. It is VERY clean and nice inside. The people who work there are super sweet and I'm always satisfied. Pricing is also very reasonable. I have a maltese and for her to get groomed (bath, ears, haircut, express anal glands, cut and file nails) is only about $50.
I ALWAYS go to Sachi because she is extremely talented. I have complete faith in her when I drop off my fur baby.... who always comes out looking amazing. Plus she also has cute extra things like bows, bandanas, cards, pictures and toys.
I love BS for D. But more importantly, much much more importantly, my puppy loves BS for D. She always looks great every time I pick her up after her cut. It's immaculate and Naomi is so nice. Five Stars!
Nanako is the best groomer in town and her prices are very reasonable. The dogs love her too. She also works quickly so the dogs are only there for a couple of hours before we pick them up again (some groomers keep them all day).
I agree, I think this is an awesome doggie grooming place. I have a Maltese (long hair that doesn't stop growing) and her hair gets knotted all the time. Nanako, the owner, does such a good job cutting and grooming her hair, and she always accommodates me however she can. I highly recommend this place.
