The name says it all...
Leticia does all of the work here. nobody works for her. i know she will be the only person taking care of me. i wouldn't have it any other way due to the services i receive from her being..."private" and all...
her space is soft and pleasant. she always has water and calming, but not new age-y, music playing. as for Leticia, her demeanor is that of a cherub angel. while i'm there, she and i are bff. she exudes loveliness and leaves me feeling as if i, too, were lovely, important, and beautiful...

If I could give Beauty & Soul Spa more than 5 stars, I would. Leticia, as others have mentioned, is a one woman show - and a complete expert. I have been going to her since early 2007 and will never go anywhere else for a bikini wax. As one of those unfortunate girls with fair & sensitive skin, but thick hair - waxing is really my only option for intimate hair removal (shaving irritates my skin too much, and well, I gotta do SOMETHING). I've been to a NUMBER of waxers in my day, and Leticia does the best job of anyone I've ever been to. She takes pride in what she does, is very respectful, makes you comfortable, and makes it as pain-free experience as waxing could be. Go see her!!!
A private space where the description of 'facial' is almost a misnomer as it is more of a massage therapy/healing session with clean pores. At first I was resistant to Leticia's intuitive style; I'd come in surly with a bad work day attitude, just wanting to get my face cleaned and get the hell out of there. But Leticia soon seduced me with her unflappable demeanor and healing charms. She is a talented technician as well, and her own complexion is flawless. I left looking and feeling amazing.
Leticia is one of the nicest people around. She does a wonderful job. The best I've had in the city. And, her space is pleasant - I don't dread my wax appointments anymore!!
There is no one better at waxing than Leticia. Period. I have been going to her for over 10 years. Since I first met her, I have gone to her exclusively. Of course, since she is in the Gold Coast and I am in Lincoln Square and tend to leave everything until the last minute, I have had to go elsewhere for waxing. Such a mistake. Those are other reviews in other places! But this reaffirms the fact that she is the greatest waxer ever. Worth the trip. Aside from being the greatest waxer, you couldn't ask for a nicer person. All around the best experience you could dream of while being waxed. My eyebrows are always perfect and she does an amazing Brazilian.
Leticia is inarguably the sweetest and most thorough aesthetician I have found in the city. I had gone to her for waxing regularly a few years ago, and have since tried several different salons on the north side (closer to where I live) trying to find someone as good as she is. As of yet, I haven't found anyone who has come close. Her studio is small, but warm, homey and inviting, and each visit is like catching up on some time with an old friend, she's *that* welcoming. And as far as her waxing goes? She will make damn sure that there's not a hair where you don't want one to be, and her technique is somehow a lot less painful than the treatment you can get elsewhere. After searching high and low to find a more convenient aesthetician, I'd say she's worth the trek downtown.
Beauty & Soul is a small spa with a very personal feel. Leticia, the owner, is a very warm, kind-hearted woman who is determined to take care of you for the hour or so that you spend with her. She is focused on using products with only natural ingredients and does not try to sell them to you when you are finished. of course, they are wonderful products (Eminence and I think Decleor are a couple brands she uses) and you end up wanting to buy them, but there is no pressure or discomfort. Every time I leave Beauty & Soul, I feel like I have had a mini vacation with a best friend--and am always sent off with a hug. I highly, highly recommend it.
probably one of the best and most thorough facials i have ever received. i wish there were places like this in cincinnati. i had the eminence facial and it was top notch. love it. if i am ever back in chicago, i will definitely be back. no question.
