A perfectly good, inexpensive, friendly, competent, serviceable salon- within walking distance from my office to boot. Heck yeah. Who cares if it is located in a strip mall, shows signs of its age, blares KOST 103.5 at loud volumes, and is bare-bones in many respects- this place serves its purpose! (Don't expect to be offered a glass of wine or even water here, but you will get a great haircut, manicure or pedicure.)
This place is run by two very nice women- one who does the nail services, and the other who is gives the haircuts. Young cut my hair and she did a great job! Looks great. And the $20.00 price tag is definitely to my liking as well. I have gotten a hair cut here a half-dozen times now and never been disappointed with the result.
Also, it appears they are affiliated with with the Day Spa next door which offers more extensive treatments and massages (not sure if you can work up some sort of package deal between these two places, but it may be worth a try). To top it off, they have a very large selection of products from a variety of the top lines at market prices.
Bottom line is that if you are looking for a great haircut or manicure on the cheap, and don't need the wood paneling, marble floors, glass of Chardonnay and Zen music of the expensive salons, this is your place!
i just got back from getting my hairs cut by Young at Beauty 21 Salon. She did a superb job cutting my hairs! She didn't just give me a hair cut, she gave me a hair style! Considering the nasty mop I had on my head when I walked in, it was probably the fastest cut I've ever received. I am usually unimpressed w/ most cuts, but damn, I look good! They also have a literal butt load of hair care products (stacked to the freakin ceiling) to choose from and as Stephen G. mentioned, they do nails as well.
Thanks to Young @ Beauty 21 Salon I don't look like such a bum.
