My first experience camping at the Oregon coast was a fun one. Beachside State Park is in Waldport about 20 miles out of Newport. About 3 hours and 15 minutes from Portland.
The camp site is really affordable and pretty spacious for the price. One site can fit in 2 tents and 2 cars to park back to back. They have big park table with bench and if you forgot your fire woods, they sell it there for only $4.
They have A CLEAN restroom with CLEAN toilets, plenty of toilet papers, and CLEAN showers. It was a pleasant surprise and I couldn't resist not to take a shower on the last day of our trip. I know I know, when you are going camping you supposed to soak in the experience and that's including smell like firewood and B.O.
The best part about this site is, you can stumble to the beach. It didn't even take 2 minutes to walk down there.
I will go back to Beachside, someday, when I need my fix for warm Oregon coast sands and cool Oregon coast weather.
