Long Beach, NY
I've been diggin beach bagel for like, 6 years now.
my first time, i was an out of towner needing a carb fix after bein at the bar all night. Security? Yeap. Beefy mofos that work between memorial day and labor day, and sometimes on irish day (who, btw, have a hilarious sense of humor). Fired up out of towners, belligerent in my bagel store? Sure. Annoyed staff? Nope. They keep on grinnin and slappin on as much cream cheese as you can handle. And they always say hi. In fact, I saw some cat come in busted up after BUIing (bikin under the influence) and the cashier helped patch his drunk a$$ up.
The sandwiches are good, and there's enough meat on em for two. In the mood for a midnight game of beer pong and can't drive to the store? Walk on down to beach bagel - they know whatcha need in a beach town.
the staff here is great, the prices are reasonable - beer prices are a little expensive, but you can't really blame em since they're targeting the out of towners to buy a case of bud light at 3am (locals know the dealz). Plus...you can wash down your face sized bagel with a ralphs italian ice out the side door. Money, yo. -

Beach Bagel has by far the best bagels I've had in NY.
I can't add much here -- how much can you say about a bagel? The service is pretty quick, the bagels are often fresh (and huge), and the sandwiches are great.
That said, when I first started going here, a bagel was 50¢.... nowadays, the prices are a bit high. In fact, it's cheaper to buy a half a pound of tuna fish, and put it on your bagels yourself, than it is to buy 2 bagels with tuna on them.
5 Star Bagels
3 Star Price / Decor
Oh yeah, the decor.. it's like a convenience store with bagels in the back.. not a very pretty place. -

I don't know what you call bennys in LI, but this review is for anyone who has ever passed this place and never stopped. I assume all the locals know how good this place is and don't really want Yelp contributing to even more people in line. So I'm sorry for that and if you're Yelping and Driving, please be responsible and stop your car and come here.
The bagels are huge and the people behind the counter will load up your bagel with as much butter or cream cheese as humanly possible which in this case is a good thing. I tried the Strawberry Cream Cheese on an Everything Bagel and Cinnamon Apple Cream Cheese on a Raisin Bagel. Both were incredible and I'm not even that big on cream cheese. The bagels were soft and fluffy and would put them right up there with Brooklyn Bagel out of Astoria.
I definitely will be back to try their subs, since Bagel comes before Deli...I had to try the bagels first and you can't hate on 24/7 availability. -

Long Beach, NY
Nice bagels and the location is also open 24 hours and has a Ralphs Italian Ices connected to it. The bagels here are pretty large and have a good flavor to them although oddly for some reason they do not toast so well the next day, well at least in my experience anyways.
The deli portion I find to be a bit pricey for their sandwiches and such and for the most part I stick to the staples. Overall a good spot for a decent fresh bagel. -

New York, NY
If you have a carb craving, this is probably the best bagel place on LI. Being open 24/7 is key, but the absolute over-the-top is what they'll do for breakfast. Bagels with up to 3 eggs (or egg whites), Canadian bacon, bacon, turkey bacon, cheese, salt, pepper, butter, ketchup, and maybe even some healthy stuff. This is a real hangover-helper! But best get up at a decent hour (or just party all night), as they stop making eggs at noon.
I can't really recommend anything other than the bagels, eggs, or their creamcheeses. The coffee is "eh" at best, and the rest of the store is kinda overpriced, but is also super-convenient. -

Little Neck, NY
A few years ago my friend was living in Long Beach a few blocks from here. The first time I visited him and stayed for the weekend he was like dude we have to go to beach bagels in the morning. We went and now when I want a bagel I want theirs. They are big, soft, fluffy and warm. They have a bazillion spreads to put on your bagel plus deli meats. My wife was visiting her mom in LB and I made her stop at beach bagels to bring me back a bagel sandwich. Love this place.

There was a fly in my sandwich. I opened up the wrapper and a fly just flew out of it. NEVER going back.

a little pricey, but can't beat the fact it's open 24/7, especially all the way out on the West End.
