I heard mixed reviews from friends so I was not in a rush to try BC's.  I wish I would have tried it sooner because this place is awesome!
Everything I've had here is great. My favorite is the short ribs, they are incredible.  Presentation is very good and the service has been good every time. It is a bit pricy but it doesn't bother me because the food is so good and the give you plenty of it.  The pizza is very good if you are trying to keep your bill down.

They also have a great drink selection.  My wife is not a big drinker (mainly because she does not like the taste of alcohol) but she loves their sangria.  They have much better beers than most restaurants in St. Charles county including rotating specialty beers such as Founders Breakfast Stout, Goose Island Matilda, and Boulevard Tank 7.

I have enjoyed every experience at BC's and would highly recommend it.

Slightly upscale with a casual attitude & simple good food... IDK.

I had lunch here & felt it did not work for me, personally.  I did like the place, but...

(We might he ordered the wrong items)  Full view of the kitchen, wine rack wall, stone walls and cool semi-private booths by the bar... & paying 25% more for it.  The sandwiches served to other tables looked more interesting, but we ordered the burger & pizza.

I love fire roasted pizza & the sausage & mushroom plus other things made the pizza was great.  For $15- I wanted a bigger pizza.  ( I understand that this is about atmosphere & service, but my tea was dry many times... & I was not trying to impress my old high school friend that is a guy)

My friend ordered the $11 burger & fries... I understand he liked them, but for that price it looked small.

The strangest observation  was that they give men three diffferent scents to wash hands (pic).

I would go back- if somebody else paid or I wanted to get laid.

So, when BC's Kitchen first opened, I was pumped since I was already a Cardwell's fan. First visit, very unimpressed and didn't go back until a year later.

Let's just say, this experience was MUCH different. Lovely atmosphere. Great waitress.

I highly suggest the appetizer with the Crab Rangoon Dip. O M G. It puts any Chinese restaurant crab rangoon to shame. I had the Cobb salad. Pretty good, good vinagarette.

Then dessert, ooh it was amazing. Chocolate Torte.

Now I called ahead of time to make a reservation and on the weekends, they only make reservations for tables of 5 or more. Luckily, it wasn't very busy when we went. They also close at 10.

Overall good experience. I'd check it out again, but a little pricey to go all the time.

Took my family there this evening for dinner and I personally enjoyed my flank steak, my wife didn't. Primarily because she didn't like the new flavors and the kids meals were way over priced for what you got.  Soda's are $2.50 and not much of a selection.  I understand this is in an area where you spend more, but the prices were a little more than you would expect other than the ball park.

I would come again with a client, but probably not with the family.

Unlike some others, our server was fine, though a bit bashful.  Having just moved from the NYC area and the Bay Area, we've seen a variety of places.  BC's tries hard to be cool.  Menu is interesting.  Food was "meh" - nothing special.  Prices try to position the place as trendy anc chic.  Maybe for the regulars is it trendy and chic.  But, there are too many good choices.  Won't be going back.

Just another observation - not a value judgement - I'm in the 35 - 45 age range, and my wife and I appeared to be among the younger people there.

I drove 20 miles to go to BC's kitchen based on the reviews I read about the fillet as I'm a big fan of steak. Well I was not disappointed. It was one of the best fillet's I have had. The service was excellent and the rest of the meal was excellent too. The wine selection was decent.

The 2 downsides to it for me was that it is so far outside of St. Louis, that even though it was so good, I just can't bring myself to make the drive all the way back out there. The second downside to it was that it is in a mall. It was a very nice restaurant and I think it would be better suited as a stand alone building. Just felt a little out of place.

This place is a hidden gem. I was instructed by a family member try this place, so we did. They do not serve dinner until 5pm, which is fine for most of us, however, my wife's aunt is 90 yrs old & hits the sack at 7pm SHARP!!  The food was incredible. The presentation was on the mark & as well as the prices. I would try this place again when we return to St. Louis. Try the Chicken Marsala, the BEST A+++++++.

The skinny: Reputed hot restaurant serves their dishes at fast-food speed and so scorching hot taste is all but voided; staff were disinterested, sweaty, and the restaurant's interior aesethetic is boxy and staid.

The fat: Ordered salads and entrees; and before chewing on our first piece of lettuce our entrees were being served. We sent them back where they sat on a counter, right in front of us. Finishing our salads, they try to serve us the dishes that had simply been sitting there. We refused.
Management came over, apologized and *asked* if we wanted new dishes made.
    Duh. Of course we did.
The dishes came and mine -- lobster pasta -- was extremely hot, so hot it ended up killing all taste.

Coffee and desert (a creme brulee) saved this dinner from utter disaster.

BC's Kitchen unfortunately is a fast food restaurant masquerading as a chic fusion restaurant. Food was mediocre and prices too high. This place is a big time poser.

The next night we ate a Macaroni Grill and had a far superior meal at a fraction of the price.

What does that tell you about BCs?

If the restaurant wants to retain its ill-earned reputation, it needs to slow it down, cool off the plating and treat clientele to a dining experience, not merely a dining expense.

    Will not return.

My wife and I have eaten here many times. I have also had a few business lunches as well. The food is always excellent. The service varies but I attribute it to how busy they are. Try coming a little bit early and you get better service.

The food. Burger is very tastey, good flavor. My favorite is the filet cooked medium. If I don't like the vegitables they are offering, they usually are happy to make me up something to my taste.

    Do reccomnend.

I definitely have to disagree with Anthony C., our server Steph was absolutely amazing and made our experience of BC's already excellent food very enjoyable!

She helped me decide on a drink: a pear martini that must have been made out out of MAGIC for how tipsy it got me and how fast BUT ALSO without sacrificing deliciousness!

We ordered the cheese plate as our appetizer which was served with walnuts and grapes that were actually very ripe and juicy, even in the dead of winter! I enjoyed it much more than my husband, but he appeased himself by eating all the bread on the plate since my GLUTEN ISSUES prevent me from doing so.

For my entree, I initially tried to order their sliders that came with interesting cheeses and chutneys and such on them just sans bread (GLUTEN ISSUES, again). Steph actually followed up on that instead of just ordering the item without the bread for me, she found out that pretty much all the tasty awesome toppings had some sort of gluten element in them! Disappointed, but glad she was so proactive, I ordered a cobb salad that was delicious, so problem solved!

My husband ordered the fish du jour, the swordfish, and I warned him that swordfish can be a tough meat..but not at BCs! It was tender, and I wish we had taken a picture of the dish, the presentation was lovely!

We capped the meal with a wonderful cappuccino creme brulee. Steph tourguided me to it as I was reallyreallyreally wanting some dessert since I've sadly had to forego most sweets due to GLUTEN ISSUES. She confirmed this dish's safety for me and asked the kitchen to put the cookies from the dessert on the side. Also, though, whomever prepared the plate for me took it upon himself to garnish it with large pieces of fresh, sliced fruit, instead, I was really impressed!

On top of a fabulous service and food, I thought the open layout of the restaurant with its high ceilings was beautiful as well! Overall, a really lovely experience! We will be back!

The place itself is very nice. Service was very good. I ordered the burger and while the flavor of the meat was great, it was overwhelmed by the bun.  The fries were excellent.  My mates enjoyed the short ribs (reported to be excellent and a chicken salad, also very good). So, for other items, I would have rated this place higher, but for the burger, average.

Sorry Rob. E....not even close to being the worst dining experience of my life.  Actually, this was a pretty darn good dining experience, and I would definitely go back....sooner if it was closer than Lake St. Louis, mind you...but I would certainly go back.

First of all, the ambiance in the restaurant is great.  The lighting is dim, but not so dim that you can't see across the table.  There is a really nice open kitchen and there's not obnoxious music or loud people.  It's just a nice place to dine.  Second of all, the food was great.  I got the vegetarian sandwich, which was packed with veggies and cheese and some kind of sweet sauce...not sure what that was but it was delicious.  The food came out fairly quickly and it was still hot when we got it.

My only real complaint was the service was not so stellar.  Our waiter brought out the wrong pizza, it took him five minutes to realize it, and then we were meal-less for 5 minutes....I am going to say this place is still pretty new, so I'll give it a little time to gel before I really consider this a problem.  Otherwise, I would say, this place is pretty great.

Came here with a lot of my extended family for lunch the day after my cousin's wedding. If you have a big group (we were 13) I recommend calling ahead and reserving so you get the side room. It is surprisingly spacious, but still fairly secluded.

Apparently, when we ate here the place had only been open a couple weeks. The food we ate was good. I had the French dip sandwich, which was tasty. A lot of our party order sandwiches, but also salads, fish, etc. Everyone expressed satisfaction with their meal. The presentation was also pretty good. We shared a couple orders of blackberry cobbler for desert. It was delectable. The service was also attentive, if maybe too friendly. But this is Missouri, not continental Europe. This place isn't cheap, but seemed like good value for the cost.

Been here a couple of times usually for a Saturday lunch, I have never been disappointed.  They have a really good vegatarian sandwich--made with portabella mushrooms and butternut squash and although I am not a vegatarian I tend to order it everytime I am there because it is so good.  All of my other lunch companions enjoyed their meals.  If you are out in the Lake St Louis area it is a consistently good place.  Menu is similiar to the Plaza Frontenac Cardwells...

An exquisite restaurant.  I frequent this venue at least once a week, usually for lunch, and have been since November 2008.  I have yet to sample a meal I do not absolutely love.  My favorite recommendations:

    1. Baby Spinach Salad
    2. BC's Jumbo Gumbo
    3. Bacon Wrapped Petite Filet

and they have wonderful happy hour specials!

Their servers are for the most part the cream of the crop, with the exception of a few who I have not seen stick around for very long.  As I said, I've been coming to BC's on a very regular basis for over a year.

The atmosphere is modern and unique, with the exception of a couple of awkward-facing booths. I love sitting in their enclosed booth/rooms near the back of the restaurant. Very private and delightful for a party of 4-6.

    Highly recommend.

    Love this place.

Example: After waiting 15 minutes past our reservation for a table, the owner's wife(I think anyway) came over to personally apologize for the wait and offer us a free drink in the meantime. Personal touches like that go a LONG way and separate places like this from 'chain' restaurants that dot the county. I'm not surprised about the wait though. When the experience is as good as the one they provide... you stay a long time.

Our waiter was a pro. He swung by fast to let us know the last available order of the scallop special was about to go and gave us a shot at it... I'm glad he did. They were amazing. Check out the pictures of that and the salmon special, which was also very good. The salmon was noticeably thicker than other places and I had a great flavor. I'll disagree with 'Anthony C', the timing on our courses was spot on.

Another testament of good, honest service: When asked about a wine pairing, the bottle suggested was one of the cheapest on the menu. Class act.

As good as it gets in St. Charles county. The nacho appetizer is huge and very good. The wedge salad is a winner and the mac 'n' cheese is wonderful. Nice atmosphere. Usually pretty good service. Private rooms in the back for larger parties of family gatherings is nice too.
