I started coming here a few years ago based on Yelp reviews, and I haven't gone anywhere since. The prices are reasonable (15% discount for repaying), I haven't had any problems with the service, and they even take requests for tight deadlines, which is awesome if you're forgetful like me.
Pro-tip: bring cash unless you plan on spending more than $20 (the minimum). -

This may be one of my new favorite places in Evanston - I know plenty of places that offer $1 laundering for shirts but this place - you get a 15% discount if you pre-pay and your dress shirts for dry cleaning (dry cleaning - not laundering) is only $1.05!! Why not just pay 5 cents more to have it dry cleaned! :) They did a fantastic job hemming my favorite dress pants.
Go online and you can even print out a coupon for alterations - not only did they alter my wedding dress perfectly, but they also altered three of my bridesmaids' dresses. Great service and great quality for an even better price. -

Yun did a fantastic job of cleaning my wedding gown in less than a week. The cost was reasonable ($120) and she took great care of my important item. She said she cleans many gowns -- which I saw when I picked up my dress (as well as furs, comforters and other delicate items). I'm glad I took it to my neighborhood cleaner as opposed to someone else downtown.

They are the BEST!!!! I cannot say enough good things as the service with a smile....is icing on the cake! Yung, has always remembered me and greeted me at the door with a smile and my name. Being new to a city is always hard, but seeing a friendly face can make everyone feel good. And she takes pride in her work and cares.....I use the cleaners weekly for ALL of my husband's work clothes and we have always been happy! And she altered my wedding dress for me too! This was at first a difficult choice as every woman adores their dress and mine was from Wales and complicated.....but afterwards she did the BEST job, which I did have looked at by a famous NY costume designer who approved of the work, and charged me an amazing price that no one could beat, especially for the precision and detail! I will only trust you!

You have to charge over $20 to use a credit cart though.

Almost a five-star dry cleaner. They do good work, their prices are reasonable, there's a 10% discount if you pre-pay, and the location is great.
But they have NEVER finished my work on time.
I patronized B.C. probably a dozen times while I was a Northwestern student, and they were always at least four hours late (Tuesday morning became Tuesday afternoon, etc.) Sometimes a full day.
So call ahead before you pick up! -

The alterations are OK, but reasonable. I would say that BC is the most trustworthy dry cleaner in Evanston. -

I dropped off 3 pairs of pants for cleaning and my husband's ripped jacket for mending. The pants came back basically in the same condition, just pressed with a seam. The food particles that were on one pair were still there when I got them back. What did I take them to get cleaned for? Also cost $15 which seems expensive to me. Then my husband picked up his leather jacket that had a rip in the lining. The mending was terrible; you could see right through the stitching to the inside of the jacket. When I brought it back they said that part was like that when I brought it in and then pointed to another part of the jacket and said that was what they repaired. What a liar. Never again will I be going to this place. There's a cleaners practically on every corner in Evanston, I suggest taking your items elsewhere.

This is a great place for alterations and cleaning. The service is great -- the owner is kind and helpful. I was going to Kenny the Kleener for a while to save some money, but I started to notice my buttons came loose after taking it there. It's best to pay for better service and protect your clothes at BC Cleaners. I wish the parking situation was better (only meters out front), but overall, it's a good place.
