You shouldn't expect more than a clean, efficient place to lay your head when you're on the road. Crammed rooms, flimsy bathrooms and dull decor. The plus side is that the rooms and hotel are pretty clean, parking is pretty convenient and the rooms all have microwaves and refrigerators. I agree, the hotel does look better in the photos though. ++ Straight shot on and off highway 5. Not bad for ONE night.
This place is a joke.
If you just looked at the pictures and descriptions on their website you would think this was a nicely updated and up kept property.
The reality is that it is sandwiched in between a fast food place and a back of a Super Walmart. I had to check the address twice to make sure the place I stayed and the address of the website were the same.
We were offered to "upgrade" to the best room in the place for just around $20 more so we went for it.
The room when we entered smelled like a locker room mixed with wet dog and cigarettes. The room had a balcony that overlooked the indoor pool and the inside ceiling was done in a wood paneling.
The room did have a spa tub in the room but the control switches were across the room on a far wall.
Now the furniture or lack of was the deal breaker for me. There was a bed, desk and a couch tucked in the corner. There was a small eat in area with a sink and a fridge and a garage sale type table but NO chairs. Im not sure where the chairs went but maybe they traded them in for the crappy rolling cart with the sorry excuse for a TV placed on top of it and stuck in the middle of the room.
The best for last was the crack heads that hang out front that would wait for people to smoke and then rummage though the ash tray for the left overs.
If your going to stay here beware the property is nothing like the descriptions so fair warning
Hotel Baymont Inn & Suites, Marysville, California has beautiful art, furniture, bed, bedding, great wall to wall bench seat to enjoy all glass whole wall spectacular view of the city and all its buildings, wanted to stay longer, didn't want to leave, pool was nice and large, high up, loads of free fruit and water, bathrobes to use, business computers nice to use, color printers, convenient to mall downstairs, room service food unfortunately lacking, cold, soggy breakfast, food was a rip off for the money. for more information visit http://www.marysvillei...
