Within the first minute of arriving, we were a bit unsure of what we'd gotten into. Without making this an extremely long review, I will summarize as much as possible. The place is currently under construction (this is not listed on their website). The receptionists at the desk were helpful in spite of the situation they were about to have to deal with. As we entered the floor leading to our room, construction was actively taking place. We were told, upon arrival and speaking face-to-face with whom we believe is the new manager, that there would be no construction on the floor where we were.

When we entered the room, we both became silent and were obviously disappointed with the hotel and hotel room, overall. We contacted the staff and asked for a full refund for the stay. Honestly, we felt very sorry for the staff who works there because the manager was not very customer-friendly. We almost felt bad for him because it seems as if he bit off more than he could chew with his role as the new manager of this hotel. The pictures will tell the rest of the story.

      Where do I begin?

      1. The hotel was under renovation and did not explain that to anyone. I found it out once I got off of the elevator on the third floor.

      2. Location is terrible. There's nothing near except a gas station.

      3. Staff is horrible. Housekeeping opens your door even when there is the "Do Not Disturb" hanger outside your door, they cuss around guests while complaining about their job.

      4. Breakfast is HORRIBLE.

On a positive note, the bed is extremely comfortable and I had a great night sleep until housekeeping came in my room.

      Updated review

After the disputes were filed at my bank the owner sent back a reply stating I was a bad customer and rude ( this was written on the disputed charge letter)He also denied the disputed charge and I was charged for not even staying there. I presented the bill to my bank for my stay at the Hilton garden inn in the same day under my name and they still wouldn't repeal the fraudulent charges. Anyone who knows me understands I'm not rude or privileged. The manager/owner of this run down motel knows he is a thief and will stoop as low as he did to lie to me and promise I wouldn't be charged. Two other families checked out same day because of the conditions. Thank god our whole soccer team stayed somewhere else for this years tournament after informed the Head coach of the issues. I do not understand how Wyndham properties can be associated with this crook. I make sure for now on we never give business to Baymont Inn or Wyndham properties because of this awful experience. I also contacted Wyndham properties and they would not help refund my money back either because I contacted my bank first to disputed the charge. I know this update is late but we just had our tourney again this month and I saw this old post and needed to update it.

Stayed a few times a couple years ago and it was pretty nice. Had some business at the base and base was full so reserved here. It's seems to be under new management for sure. Rooms are old. Carpet smelled wet. Like they tried to clean it but it never dried. Stains all over floor, water stains on ceiling. First hotel I have seen in a long time with a old style box tv. Remote didn't work. Place seems to have gone down hill since last time I was here. Staff nice. Wifi good. Wish it was a little cleaner.

If I could give them a negative 10 I would. Their customer service sucks. I was double charged for my room and all I did was sleep in it for a total of 10 hours between 2 nights.

Not impressed with this place. Feels a bit dirty. My view out my window is an old mattress, weeds up to my window and old metal frame. Staff was being trained at the counter, can't complain about that,

The view out my window. Old mattresses, frames... Classy
      Weeds up to my window.

Be CAREFUL at this hotel! My CC information was STOLEN not the card, just the # from CC! Someone checked in or ran up a bill over $200 from my stolen CC information & was Allowed to use it WITHOUT having the CC in hand!!! Not the policy of Hotel, per online, but Allowed to do so! Have been in contact with GM who could careless & rude! Contacted the Wyndam Corp. (Taylor) who said nothing we can do except tell the Owner & the Owner hasn't respond to us! Seems as if it's just another Oh Well Deal! They won't even look at video or paper audit to see who & how My CC # was used!

I never write reviews, but I am warning everyone to stay away from this place. I booked a reservation on 8/2/16 for the dates of 5-18-17 to 5-21-17, and received email conformation. This was for the Dayton Hamvention

I arrived at the hotel on 5-18-17 at approx 4pm. I was told my reservation was not in the system. He then said my reservation was canceled and would give no reason and was very rude. I showed the clerk my reservation on my phone and didn't appear to care. He said it was booked with Wyndham and I had to contact them as he had no control. I advised clerk that Baymont is part of Wyndham hotel group but argued with me.

I called 800 number for Baymont and all they wouldn't tell me why the reservation was canceled and could not tell me when or a reason.

I never received a phone call or email to tell me this had happened. I was 7 hours from home and a convention going on in town.

I went back to the clerk and he said he had a room he could offer me that someone had not showed up yet which seemed odd to me since it was only 4pm. He said it would cost $129 a night which was way more than I booked for. I had booked for $80 a night. It became clear exactly what had happened. The hotel canceled my reservation and did a bait and switch on me. They didn't like the fact that I booked the room at such a low price before they had a chance to increase the price for the special event. They claimed they had put me in the wrong room as it was an accessible room and they offered it to someone else that needed it. They had never contacted me and didn't know if I was handicap or not. That was simply a poor lie. I asked for the clerks name and he said it was Hmeadan. I have no idea if that was his real name. I also wanted his managers number and he was hesitant to give either. I called the number and no one answered and would not accept a voicemail. The clerk was simply rude and unwilling to help and could care less about me. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Need an update badly. Staff and housekeeping are friendly. Only 2 housekeepers that had 30 rooms to clean each. Very understaff. Felt bad for them.

Stayed here for a soccer tournament because the team administrator secured a block of rooms. Last time I trust their insights. Place looked horrible pulling up. Several families from our team checked into rooms with cigarette butts left on window sill in a nonsmoking room and food everywhere. Staff was nice and professional but the rooms were far from adequate and the place kind of smelled of dirty carpet. Beds were uncomfortable, towels hard to find or secure, pillows about 10 years past their shelf life and they haven't gotten the memo from last decade that the dark colored acrylic bed spreads from 1989 are now taboo. Paid $99 for the night and slept like hell. Was not worth $39 a night.
