My friend and I were frantically searching for some type of chauffeur service to go wine tasting for a last-minute weekend that we planned for ourselves and our husbands. The Wine Line looked great (see great Yelp reviews!), but it was all booked up. My friend talked to James from Bay Limousine and we thought the price was very reasonable for the private limo service for the four of us, so we booked with him!
Our driver was Sherri, and she was great. She was very knowledgeable about wines and the Paso wineries, but was also incredibly receptive to incorporating some of the wineries that were on my list of want-to-sees.
She was good at navigating the windy roads of Paso wine country in the long limousine! And the service was extremely attentive--she carried our purchased bottles out to the car for us while we finished up at the counters, labeled them for each of us and kept them cool with ice packs in the trunk. She paid close attention to what we liked and didn't and made recommendations accordingly.
The only minor drawback was that it did seem like we were a group of five (the four of us and the driver) hanging out and conversing rather than a group of four friends who had a driver. I think some of the members of my party would have liked it if she was a little more hands-off so that we could just converse amongst ourselves--since we hadn't seen each other in a while we had a lot to talk about!
We would definitely use Bay Limousine again! -

What a find.
Last weekend I went to Paso Robles with some friends and went on a tour of the wine country. To make the tour more relaxing, and to avoid a DUI, we hired a limo to take us around. Best decision ever. Here's why:
This is a one man operation--James, the owner and driver, is incredible. Not only is he a wonderfully nice guy, he is beyond knowledgeable of the wine country. He knows everyone. At every place we went the people at the wineries loved James, and treated us like VIPs because we were with him. Bonus.
Plus, the 5 hour limo tour is a great deal, and includes an incredible lunch (the brownies are out of this world good), along with some beer and champagne to drink in between wineries.
If you want a hassle free tour of wine country, it is a no brainer. Call James at Bay Limo. The guy goes the extra mile. You can thank me for the recommendation later. -

Simply perfect.
We have used Bay for several occasions and I can't say enough about the people there. We've used the sedan service as well as the limo service and both were excellent. If your serious about seeing the Paso wine area, I would highly suggest using James for the experience.
We've done tasting several ways, and going with Bay has been the best thus far. We can tell James has a great reputation amongst the tasting rooms. The pourers were always friendly and happy to see us. It was not unusual for us to get extra attention from the pourers when they noticed we arrived with James.

My sister booked James for our late Feb 2010 tour and he was as awesome as ever!
James knows and likes his wines, ensured we got great service where we went, and served us an amazingly delicious lunch. He helped arrange a winery tour for us and was all around a great presence; professional, courteous, easy to talk to, and friendly.

I agree with everyone who has written so far about James and Bay Limousine...from the soft tasty brownies to the experience at Opolo. I called several limo services that handled the Paso Robles area and went with James because I thought he was the friendliest and offered the best price for the services included.
I had a few of my own must visit wineries but the rest were James' recommendation. He was able to get the tasting fees waived at most of the wineries, got us many, many pours that were not part of the tasting list.
I was a little skeptical about most lunches that are included with a tour but James' lunch was deeeeeLISH! I went with 3 ppl who were novices to wine tasting and Paso Robles. They could not stop talking about what a fantastic experience they had and how James was a part of that. -

I cannot say enough nice things about Bay Limousine. Hire James! You will not be disappointed. And trust his recommendations when it comes to wineries. James told us he's lived in the area for over twenty years. He knows which wineries have amazing wines with no tasting fees. I wish we had let him design our entire trip. I will definitely be calling James next time we are in Paso Robles!

Blake says it all, but I have to echo the sentiment. A low key, non-snobby tour of wine country is just a few bucks away (plus a generous tip, you cheapskate).
James is a perfect tour guide through the hills of Paso's wine country. He'll take you to his favorites (where he is a recurring visitor, and scores great discounts and other perks), or to any specific wineries that you choose. He knows his stuff, but isn't looking to show off. For the total wine connoisseur, or a beginner who just wants to spend a day in this beautiful region of CA, call James up and leave the car keys at the hotel. -

My husband arranged for him and I to do a wine tour for my birthday. It was a surprise for me and it couldn't have been any better. James picked us up at our hotel a few minutes early and asked whether we had any ideas for which wineries to go to. We did not so James picked 4 on his own based on what kinds of wine we liked and his personal preferences. The first one was Per Cazo, which is by appointment only. What a great experience to sit and taste with the owner at their home! That was special. Secondly, we went to Opolo, which was fun. They have great wines and the staff were very friendly and obviously are happy employees! Then on to Castoro Cellars, a very nice relaxing winery and again the people there are great. James has a relationship with some of the wineries so he was able to pour for us and he picked some that were reserve wines to try. He set up lunch for us outside which was outstanding, that he made himself. Castoro has a great atmosphere for a picnic lunch. The last winery was Rotta, which was also charming. It is obvious that James loves the area, loves and knows wine and good food, and is attentive, professional and friendly. We got so much more out of the wine tasting than if we had gone on our own. Thanks James for a great day!

What a perfect experience! Our driver was Sherry, who is as knowledgeable about wine as anyone I've ever met. Wherever we went, everyone knew her and we got 5 star treatment. We were able to make it to 6 wineries in 5 hours, including stopping for lunch. She customized our tour as it progressed based on what we liked and disliked. Will use again and again and again.
