4 stars for the crepes. Specifically dessert crepes: can't go wrong with nutella.
This is convenient for employees of the Schwab building but I do not think I would go out of my way for this place.
This is mainly "buy-to-go"

I wish I could give this place more stars. My grilled panini was pretty good, and the service was friendly. They even took a bit off the price because I asked for no cheese.
But that still didn't make it anywhere close to a good deal. My panini was about half the size I was expecting - at full panini price, with no sides. I felt like I was getting too little for too much.
Toss in a side salad, and I'd toss in a fourth star.

Coffee review only
There is a new guy here, and he does not know the difference between decaf and regular coffee. One star to you, my friend! Even the regular coffee is merely okay, degrading to poor as the day goes on.

A Panini -JEDI- you say? Indeed I do, sir! I am not one to sing the praises of the ubiquitous foccacia-walled panini, a whorish foreign cousin to the bricklayer's sandwich of yore, but the foodsmith ensconced in this little cafe has crafted a nosh worth an aria!
No normal Panini sandwiches are these, no, they are packed with good, fresh fixin's and then GRILLED to a crispy exterior, delivering to you an easily managable sandwich quite unlike the typical roof-of-your-mouth shredding toasted foccacia sandwiches. It's the grilling that makes all the difference - the Force is strong in this one.
I'd recommend the mouth-watering Bay Bridge (Spinach, Chicken, Pesto, Tomatoes, Olive oil, Salt, pepper, and mozzarella cheese) to get started, and try the Southwestern (Spicy Salsa, Jalapeno, Fresh Cilantro, Onions, Turkey, Salt, Pepper, and Cheddar Cheese) if you want to take it up a notch with a truly spicy and savory meal for lunch. The Tuna Melt is highly recommended by said Jedi - and I can assure you there were no mind-tricks involved - and there is a vegitarian Panini for the hungry Siths out there.
If you're within range, you owe it to yourself to try these paninis - trust your feelings, you know this to be true. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of tasebuds suddenly cried out in pleasure and weren't silenced a bit.

Thanks to this place I can now have crepes every day.
But their tuna melt is really great. It's got such a complex interplay of ingredients that I just couldn't take it apart.
It looks like such a chainy kind of place, and I've been conditioned by my tenure in this city to depise formula retail.
Thank you for helping me fight the paradigm.

Call me cheap, but I came here because I got a coupon for a free coffee/tea. I'm not sure if I would come back.
The Bay Bridge Panini that I got for $7 was really...not spectacular, at all. I mean, it tasted like something that I could put together, minus the special sandwich toaster effect...and I'm not too hot in the kitchen.
Service, though, was great. The woman was very helpful with a customized order and the chef kept making sure we're doing alright. I felt special =)
But really, I've had better paninis.

As yon Pirate says, this is a tiny place, but certainly they pack a lot in.
Despite the name, it's not just coffee - it's organic coffee, available with some interesting twists - "orange mocha" anyone? And so much more.
There's also bagels with a wide range of fillings, pastries, and salads.
But the big draw for me here are the extraordinary selection of panninis and crepes. There are always lots of interesting veggie options (check the specials) as well as some killer sweet selections. Try one - you will be back. I just had a pesto special and it was totally delish!
Each crepe is made right before your eyes - fresh as it can be - but the downside is that you can be waiting a while if there is a line.
So, just chill in this surprisingly laid-back little nook, and peruse some of the organic, eclectic, and generally-good-for-you knick-knacks they have around. Or better still, the trick is to call ahead your order and it will be ready for you by the time you arrive.
Either way, it's hard to be impatient with the ridiculously friendly staff, particularly when one of them insists on calling you "Brotha"!

I don't exactly know what the fuss is about, but a second visit should help solidify my opinion. It's small: be prepared to wait in a line stretching outside the shop and into the lobby of the main building. They have limited options: good options to be sure, but limited. The service: it just took a while for a small staff to crank out a lot of orders. They were efficient, yes, but during the rush it can make a simple order seem like it takes forever. I would definitely call head if you're placing a lunch order and try to pick it up outside of the lunch rush.

Review of the food only! The Bay Bridge panini is excellent. Go early for it, though, as they make a certain number each day and once they're gone, they're gone. The ham & cheese crepe is good, but some of the savory crepes are so-so as the crepe itself can be too sweet. The service is good and it's not crowded at all. As a bonus, you can call in your order then go pick it up.

A bare-bones hole-in-the-wall you might miss, but it's good. Torrefazione coffee, David Rio chai. Coffee is served in Torrefazione china. Doodads from Torrefazione and GGNRA for sale. Five tables. 80's rock music. This is in a brokerage building, so there may be a line at the register, but it doesn't take too long. Prices are competitive.
WiFi is free, and it works! This review posted from onsite.
Don't come here for the setting, but they make an amazing tuna panini. My friend loved her chicken panini as well. Fresh iced tea made out whatever tea we chose, as well. Very friendly chef, who chatted with us for a few moments... Je ne sais quoi exactement, but this place was a really good lunch... maybe because I had the misfortune of eating at Harvest and Rowe recently.

Friendly service, tasty coffee drink, bags of Torrefazione beans for sale -- I'd go back. I saw they have a full crepe menu, which was intriguing. It's a teeny place, but they do have a few tables.

This is the spot if you're looking for something different than the ever present Peets and Starbucks. They have the standard coffee menu, but offers a nice variety of teas for people such as myself. Also, they serve great paninis and sweet/salty crepes. Defintely convenient also since its located in the same building as our office.
The cons are that the service is extremely slow, so if you know what you're going to order, I'd definitely call ahead so you come by later for pick up.
I was so happy to have found this place! From the moment I walked in the service was wonderful and very accomodating. I had one of the panini sandwiches and it was delicious!! I wish I could remember the gentlemens name that served us, I think it was " Sammy" . As we were finishing our lunch, he brought over a complimentary sample of the Chai they have and I will DEFINITELY be back for a cup of that stuff!!! Sorry Starbucks, I'm goin to this place for my Chai from now on!
Need to check out for wireless list http://www.yelp.com/li...
The food here is so, so good. It's never crowded, either. It takes a while to for them to prepare it, tho. But your choices in this nasty highrise wasteland of Quiznos and long lines are extremely limited, and this place is a lovely, civilized oasis. Panini and crepes... yum!
Went here with a friend for lunch the other day. This is a surprisingly funky little lunch place in an area of town that doesn't have a lot of great lunch places. We each had crepes - I had a ham and cheese or something and my friend had Nutella and strawberry (for lunch - pretty awesome, I say). We actually had to adjust our order to the fact that they were out of (I think) onions and didn't have ingredients for a couple sandwiches on the menu. I actually liked this, as I think it indicates that their ingredients may actually be fresh and thoughtfully selected. We still got a tasty lunch in a nice atmosphere, and the crepe guy actually came to our table to ask how everything was. I highly recommend.
Best Tuna Melt I have ever had. I don't know about all that Jedi crap from Matt H. but take it from a Luke... use whatever "force" you need to get your friends to lunch with you here... you will not be let down!
