I wanted to replace my deteriorating drafty single-pane windows, but I was worried about being able to retain the quality & original look of my 1920's house, worried about being scammed, worried about the costs. Luckily Bay Area Window Pros were wonderful in being honest, skilled, and very reasonably priced. Felix and the installation team were great! The job was done efficiently and well. For example, my window frames weren't squared, given the shifting an older house does, but the installers got every window level & fitting tight. The windows sit perfectly and the finishing trim is beautiful. I'm very happy with the quality of their work. Even the city inspector, who has seen hundreds of window installations, was impressed with the quality of BA Window Pros' work.
One bump in the road was getting the right windows from Milgard, no fault of Window Pros. Milgard initially sent the wrong windows. I phoned Felix when I saw the wrong window and Felix immediately worked on the problem. He got BAWP to my house within an hour to check the windows, check the original order, etc., and then Felix got after Milgard do express work. (Although Milgard Co. caused a delay, I would probably select Milgard fiberglass frames again because they look so good, are low-maintenance, i.e. no dryrot--important in my damp neighborhood, and have a lifetime guarantee.)
I'm really glad I had BAWP do the job. In the past I've been dissatisfied with some of the less-than-perfect jobs other contractors have done, e.g. things not fitting quite right, etc. Also, prior to contacting BAWP I had contacted another window company that a friend used. That company sent out a rep who came, spent time taking measurements, etc. but didn't follow up the way Felix did.
Geez. If a business can't follow up to GET my business, I wonder if that business would follow-up to KEEP my business. Luckily I picked BAWP.
I really appreciate how Felix was always very responsive, e.g. quickly returning my calls, seeing that the work was completed to my satisfaction. Overall, an excellent job of "keeping the customer happy." An A+ for customer service. -

Based on all of the favorable YELP reviews I recently chose to work with Felix and BAWP to replace an initial group of 4 windows in our house. The existing windows were at least 50 years old and potentially even older and weren't even close to being weather-tight. I had done my own research about what I wanted to go with in terms of replacements. I decide to go with fiberglass given the numerous advantages over vinyl and wood windows but Felix was very helpful in guiding me to the right manufacturer for our specific needs. We opted for Milgard Ultra and so far are very pleased.
The windows had to be custom built but came in earlier than expected and the BAWP crew generally did a good job on the installation and were very clean and courteous. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the screens weren't properly connected to the screen frames in 3 of the 4 windows and I think the installation crew should have caught that problem as they were doing the install. It's actually Milgard's mistake in not connecting them properly and they are coming out to repair them free of charge next week.
I fully plan on giving Felix and BAWP the rest of my business when we replace the rest of the windows in our home. Felix & Mahmoud also individually deserve 5 stars for their responsivess which tends to be a rarity in this industry. -

I just moved to my new place about 6 months ago, and as the weather is starting to get cold, I've noticed that the window's that came with my condo are horrible, and when the weather outdoors is cold, so is my condo. I went on a search of someone who can accomodate my needs and schedule. I called several places, and some never answered and called back later, others couldn't accomodate an appointment with my personal and working schedule. When I finally came across Bay Area windows, they came out in the evening, they were there on time as pormised, which I absolutely appreciate as I am extremely punctual. Since this is m first window replacement, they were very curtious on educating me on window's and prices.
My windows were delivered and installed as promised, they cleaned up after themselves which was wonderful. I highly recommed Bay Area Window Pros for your window replacements. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience in my very first window replacement. -

I recently purchased a new condo and needed the windows replaced. I searched a few different businesses online and decided to contact Bay Area Window Pros. I was able to schedule an appointment with them right away. A representative came over and explained all the different options I had within my price range. He was very knowledgeable! He also gave me an option that was out of my price range, but explained the benefits. I ended up going with the more expensive windows a few weeks later. The windows were installed last week and they did an excellent and clean job. The installer arrived on time and finished the installation within a timely manner. The next day my salesperson called and followed up. Overall, my experience was very positive. Bay Area Window Pros are definitely pros. Their customer service is outstanding with competitive pricing. My parents saw the excellent job they did so they decided to replace their windows through them as well.

Needed to replace 9 exterior windows + 1 door earlier this year. Had talked with Andersen Renewal - product looked great but was expensive. For a second opinion, called Bay Area Window Pros (after looking on Yelp and seeing great reviews).
Vadim came out to meet with us. He was extremely patient, thorough, and thoughtful - and his price estimate was reasonable. We actually took over 6 months to get started with the project - but called Vadim back when we were ready, met with him again, and were pleased to see that the cost estimate had not changed. So we held our breath and decided to go forward!
A couple of weeks later, the windows were ready, and Felix contacted us to set up the install. Vladimir was our installer. To our surprise and delight, the whole install took only one day (!). The installation looked great. Vladimir even painted/touched up a couple of areas that needed it, and he and associate cleaned everything up - it was as if they hadn't even come.
At the end of the day, I did an inspection. We found that two window screens needed some minor repairs. Vladimir was able to fix one immediately, and for the other screen, he told me that he would ask the office to order a new one.
Without any follow up by me/any prompting, we received a new screen from the manufacturer within about two weeks. It fit perfectly. I was very pleased that everything was taken care of - without me even needing to ask.
The windows (from Simonton - replacement windows) look really nice, and we're very pleased with the work - as well as the team. Thanks to Vadim and Vladimir for making it happen!! -

As I started tackling a large exterior renovation on my home, I began my research by Googling and carefully screening Yelp reviews of several Bay Area window installation companies. A couple weeks later, I cut my list down to 4 companies that I felt were equipped to handle the job, and invited them to my home for an estimate. Of those, only one instilled confidence that they can deliver a quality job at a reasonable price, Bay Area Window Pros.
Before making the jump, I was hoping somebody in my network could personal vouch for them so I put a feeler out to my Twitter followers. Turns out, my boss had bought a house in Tiburon a couple years ago and had his windows replaced by Bay Area Window Pros before he moved in. Between the excellent standing with the BBB, the glowing Yelp reviews, and a highly valued personal recommendation I was ready to move forward.
Felix was courteous, diligent, friendly, and comfortable with his product; he brought me lots of options and educated me on various bells and whistles. I decided to go with the StyleLine Series of windows made by Milgard as they maximized the surface area of the glass, giving it an ultra modern look while also being highly energy efficient. I ordered 26 windows that he carefully measured out, and was pleasantly surprised that he proactively reached out to me several times while they were being built, just to let me know that everything is going along on schedule. Within two weeks, the installation crew arrived.
They were polite, professional, clean, and took great care in leaving my house in the same condition as how they found it. I wasn't sure how the existing frame was going to look after they were through, but they took extra time to seal cracks and add vinyl stripping so we did not have to touch up -- very detail-oriented! They disposed of the old windows and made sure not to leave any residues. When I made the final inspection I was taken away with how this transformed my home, and within one week I could already tell the difference in the temperature and soundproofing.
Although the installation was complete in June of 2010, here is why I am just posting my Yelp review now... I just got my PG&E bill for August, the hottest month in this summer. Last year the August bill was way over $600. This year, $180! And that was with family visiting and the AC on all month.

I needed to replace about 10 single pane windows in a cottage built in the 1940s. I was particular about not ruining the look of the cottage. Loved my original single pane wood windows. but they were cold and uncomfortable.
Vadim was my salesperson. He was highly organized, quickly created all pricing on his iPad. Prices and windows were great. He suggested the right windows for my place and told me why. No sales pitch at all. Just good info. They came out to measure and several weeks later came out and installed.
Everything went well. The service and installation were top notch. -

AS GOOD AS IT GETS !!! I called on a Friday for a free estimate appointment. Felix came out on Monday morning to do a free estimate on my house for fiberglass windows, gave me a very reasonable estimate, agreed to come back out in about six weeks to perform the installation on fiberglass windows all over my house . The work was well done. The price was exceptionally reasonable. Everyone in company was courteous and polite. Highly Reccommended !!!!!!!!!!!

Definetly 5 Stars for Bay Area Window Pro's!
They did a 10 Star job on my windows in my SF condo! Not only the quality of the actuall windows, but the service, and pricing! I looked around forever, and was very nervous about making a selection as to who would do my (ever so important) windows!

I wanted to write an update since my family was so happy with them. We have had a number of contractors this year work on our house and by far Bay Area Windows Pros is our favorite.
I found them on Yelp and as mentioned in my earlier review, we received a number of bids and they were the most reasonable by far (out of 5 bids). No cheesy up selling, no slimy change orders or hidden costs. In fact, he undersold us from what we originally was going to order.
They were professional, helpful, and had a high attention to detail. Oh, and they were really quick. I replaced 11 windows and doors and they were done in a day and a half.

I had 3 different companies come out to give me estimates for replacing 6 windows and a slider to my backyard. Bay area window pros provided me with 4 different products so that I could choose what best fit my needs. They were the only company that provided me with so many options and the salesman was prompt to follow up -- so I chose to go with them. The crew that came in to install my windows 4 weeks later were very professional and clean, finishing my project in a day. The crew leader, Michael, went through everything with me and made sure i was completely happy with everything. My new windows and door look great and I would def. recommend them to anyone looking for the best windows and best service!

It is my parents' turn to change their windows. To make sure I get the best deal, I got a competitive quote before phoning Bay Area Windows Pro. Felix was able to beat the price and gave be a better name brand windows.
The guy is a straight shooter, he told me not to replace one of the window because it will be too narrow after considering the size of the vinyl, even though this means he will make less money.
For long turn investment like windows, it is important to find a company you can trust and will stay behind when your windows have problem 10-20 years down the road. Same goes with manufacturer. My friend got a no-brand patio door. When the door handle crack and fell off last year, he found out that the company already went out of business and the "life-time warranty" is worthless.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I started my research over 6 months ago with several installation companies in the bay area (mostly through personal network referrals). After a frustrating experience with two companies and their estimate process I decided to contact Bay Area Window Pros based on their reviews on Yelp and some background research. I purchased my first home in Marin and was eager to start the renovations and replace all the drafty windows. Felix came out within 24-hours, measured and gave me an excellent estimate. I was excited to get the ball rolling! His crew was extremely professional, friendly, and dedicated to get the job done seamlessly. I'm definitely happy with the work and would recommend to anyone needing to replace windows. My expectations were met on all levels!

I bought a condo in Bernal Heights in March and my first priority was replacing the old single pane windows and french door to the patio with double pane. Felix came out to do the initial quote and explain all the different options he could offer. I got 5 other quotes and BAWP was the best by between $4-10K(!). This was for Marvin aluminum clad double hung windows and Simpson true divided light french doors.
However, low price is only half of the big picture, right? Saving some money short term is pointless if the job is not done right. BAWP did an excellent installation. The installers were prompt, actually early, both days, professional, and clean. The results are perfect. A general contractor who lives around the corner from me even commented on the nice job BAWP did framing the french doors that went from original in swing to replacement out swing.
This is my first review on Yelp. I joined so I could write this 5 star review to let others know about my satisfaction with BAWP. -

I'm very happy to finally work with a client oriented Window Company.
Our past experience with large, home improvement companies lacked in
professionalism. We decided to go with a private company this time
around which was a good choice. We always felt taken care of, and felt

After acquiring quotes from several window installers (new construction) and listening to cheesy sales pitches (one even discounted $100 if I pulled the permit - the contractor should always pull the permit for liability), to my relief I found Bay Area Window Pros on Yelp. The salesman, Vadim, was courteous, professional, cheery, and really knew his product. I went to the show room and was given different options, with pros and cons. I ended up with a quality product at a competitive price. The window install went well, done by professional, clean, and courteous installers. I do a lot of home remodeling (fixer upper) and this is one of the subs/contractors who stands out the most. I'm picky, so when a company gives me stellar service, I tell all my friends and Yelp. It is smart to shop around, but make sure you include Bay Area Window Pros, you will be more than satisfied with the end result. :-)
I highly recommend working with Vadim, but also had excellent service with everyone in the entire process. -

Couple years ago I was looking to get all new windows for my dad's house in Daly City. I did some research and met with plenty of companies who gave me a sort of quotes. When Felix arrived he measured all the windows then had me go down to this show room in Burlingame to check out all the brand and styles he offered. He knew i had a budget and was willing to work with me. Total I had 10 windows and a big sliding glass door replaced.
It took them a whole day to install all the windows and they did a TERRIFIC job. They cleaned up after themselves and dumped all the old windows. I was and still am extremely please with the outcome. Even years later the windows are still beautiful!
So I've recently just got married and the hubby and I also bought a house in Daly City. Since it was a bank owned it needed some serious work. On the top of my list was new windows...Of course was pretty set on using Felix again. We just hoped his prices had not increased too much since the last time.
This project was a little more difficult the way the old windows were installed it seemed harder to just pull them out. Felix had to send his uncle out to help diagnose the situation. After about 4 or so visits he finally figured out a solution. A week before we left Hawaii for our wedding we had him order our window and he told us not to worry and that he would call us when everything is set to be installed.
On the day of: Two workers came around 8:30am and ended up staying till 7pm! They worked the whole day until all the windows were replaced. We even had this ugly garden window box thing in our kitchen and they managed to build a frame around it and seal it up tightly. It looks fabulous...all our windows look fabulous.
The best thing too is that the Simonton windows we chose had a tax rebate that comes along with it. So it was an additional $1500 back!! We no doubt will always go back to Bay Area Window Pros if we need more windows.

Felix and his crew are very professional.
Bought a total of 15 windows and doors from them and they were delivered within a week. Installation was done by my contractor and everything is good so far. One of the windows was ordered without tempered glass by mistake, not sure whose fault it was, but Felix took care of it. Very good experience overall. -

I recently broke my bedroom window and was looking around for someone to come and fix it quickly because the SF nights are cold! My landlord said because i broke it I had to fix it, so I needed to find a place that wouldn't charge me my entire months rent to replace it. After calling a few places I found Bay Area Window Pros and not only did they give me a very affordable quote, but they worked around my schedule to come and replace it. The tech that came out was very friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. About 30 min later I had a new window. I now have a window guy that I highly recomend!

I love this family-owned business. Everything went smoothly and efficiently, from ordering to installation and even a minor warranty issue (manufacturer problem, not this company).
They aren't touchy-feely but they get things done and make sure you're a happy customer. Felix is a knowledgeable salesman but leaves you high and dry after the sale, which is just as well that Alla does a bang up job keeping everything in order post-sale. Michael who does the installation is a real gem. Prices were very reasonable as well.

Is there anything I hate more than dealing with contractors? Hmm ill think about it. These guys have done everything to make sure to change any past experiences I have had.
Felix went over all kinds of different options for me and never once pushed me in any one direction. He gave me plenty of options that fit my budget and my needs.
Go ahead and call someone else just to confirm what I said if you want or don't waste your time and just call these guys. Any option you can get somewhere else you can get here at a better price and incredible service. Great Job

I had used another window company in the past (back in a previous less happy life) and after the horrible service I received I would never go back.
This time I called about 5 places. This place was the only one who I got a call back from in less than 30 minuets. Two others called me back days later and the other two never called me back at all. Guess the economy aint hurtin them that bad!
I got a call from Felix who was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He talked to me about different options and in the end went out of the way to save me money. I know the guy makes money selling me his service but I really believe he helped me make the right choice that I could afford.
I did get a bid from one of the other companies and this place was much cheaper.
Affordable, great service, no chezzy salesmen, hell yeah!
The work quality was perfect; the installers were great and comfortable to have around, and they kept my place clean. -

I found Bay Area Window Pros by calling 4 different companies to get some custom windows in our home. They ended up quoting me the lowest price out of everyone, but by no means did the low price mean a sacrifice of service or workmanship.
Their work was professional, their service was exceptional, and their price substantially lower than the quotes I received from other companies. They definitely deserve 5-stars and I'll be using these guys for any of my window needs, and refer them to my friends as well. -

It took me about 3 months to make a decision of whether to change my windows. Felix always followed up with me in prompt time, in a responsible way (as opposed to sleezy sales pressure).
I never felt pressured to go with a specific brand. I felt as if I was quite picky and actually difficult to deal with at times. But Felix always made suggestions as to what would be best for MY home.
The great thing about dealing with a family-owned business, is that they are willing to make sacrifices to obtain your business. This meant for me, the best price BY FAR (less than half) of others. In addition, they included extra 'bells and whistles' for no additional cost. They didn't even call to tell me "Hey, by they way, we added this and this and this."..he wasn't looking for validation, he just DID it.
Two installers came, did the job in 90*+ heat and finished in an efficient time. All my neighbors have complimented me on my new windows.
If you want the lowest price, good quality on the install.. and don't put too much emphasis on schmoozing and people kissing your ass.. Bay Area Window Pros is DEFINITELY the way to go. -

It's been a few months since my windows were installed, so I feel I have enough time to write a review based on not only the service, but the work as well. Had an easy time dealing with Felix and his team...after the initial estimate, there was one more visit to measure and then we scheduled a time to do the install.
Felix had recommended and I agreed to go with the Simonton windows. I believe they were the Impressions 7300 series. I was getting my entire house done including garage, so we are talking around 11 windows including two large ones in the living room that go outside to the backyard. My house still had original windows from the early 60's, so I was really looking forward to this upgrade as I had been waiting for the right time the last few years.
A team of two men came out on time to begin the install...nice guys that went straight to work. I forget the lead guys name, but he used to be a boxer and really knew what he was doing with the install. They had estimated two days, and on the second day by early afternoon the job was complete. Everything looked clean and seemed to work.
Jump four months ahead and the windows and job have been terrific. Everything opens, slides, and keeps the noise out as it should. I have not noticed any air leaks on any of the windows. I am really satisfied with the entire project and would recommend them to any of my friends. -

Here is an update on our door and window order.
We have arrived at the rainy season and the installation for windows and door has been signed off by the city as well as proven to be leak free.
Though we had hoped to have the door issue resolved sooner, it has none the less been resolved to our satisfaction as of 12/6/10.
The owner Felix did in fact come through after he took over our account and handling our calls directly. I have accepted that we faced 2 issues, a Manufacturer's issue to get a door to Bay Area Windows within 3 months, and a Salesperson issue.
Felix personally came by during the installation of the new (and different door) and although we paid more for the replacement door, he made sure that it both lived up to the product quality he had communicated and the continued excellent installation by the same gentleman who had installed previously our windows.
Felix has assured us that the salesperson is no longer with them and that he is not using the same distributor or door manufacturer that caused the problem.

We were looking at replacing four windows and two sliding doors and had consultations from four different companies. I felt a little fed up with the sales pitch I got from some, but Felix was very forward about what needed to be done. Since our existing windows were not installed properly, it was not possible to tell what we would find once we took them out. When it came time to install, these guys were very flexible in finding solutions to any problem that came up. The end result looks amazing and our house is now also much quieter thanks to the new sliding doors.

These guys put in our windows a couple of years ago. Windows are holding up well, they are attractive and have really cut down on heating costs. Felix was great to work with, he made the process easy. Their prices were the best of any of the others we got quotes on and they did a knock out and fast job. Thanks Bay Area Window Pros. We still love our new windows.

These guys were really great and made the whole process really simple for me. I got a few quotes just to compare and their price was the best. Not only that but the job they did was amazing. The installation took one day, they cleaned everything up and I didn't have to worry about a thing.
