--- Cat Sitting Review ---
Lynda and her team are fabulous. I "interviewed" Lynda about a year and a half ago. As soon as I met her, I could tell she was an animal person. Missy, our cat, could tell too; she went right up to Lynda.
The first time Lynda watched Missy, we were away for over a week. She texted or e-mailed daily and often sent pictures. Since then we've called Lynda each time we've gone away (4-6 times). It is both refreshing and comforting to know we can count on Bay Area Pet Pals.
Also, Lynda is super easy to work with. If you leave a key with her, you can just e-mail her with your plans. She has always come through for us! -

I love Bay Area Pet Pals and Lynda! My dog and I are so happy and pleased with everything. When I tell Kai that we are going to Lynda's for doggy day care, he gets really excited. He cannot wait to get out of the car when we pull up to her home. He runs straight to the door and doesn't bother saying bye to me when I drop him off.
There are many reasons why I love Lynda's day care and overnight:
1 - she has two of her own dogs and Kai LOVES them
2 - she loves dogs and genuinely loves being with them and takes them to the park and beach (how awesome is that!)
3 - she sends updates during the day (for day care) and multiple updates (text, pics, video) for overnights.
4 - her home is spacious and clean. She lets the dogs in the house and in the back yard and porch (Kai loves to tan in the sun and he can't do this at home!)
5 - she has other dogs that are also very well mannered and you feel confident that all the dogs will play nicely together. I never have to worry that there will be a dog fight.
6 - she is very flexible with time (pick-up/drop off)
7 - she is very responsive when you message her
8 - she lets Kai snuggle in her bed during overnight stays (no crate)
I think I can go on and on but bottom line is - if you need doggy day care or overnight or dog walking, Lynda is the very best person in the area! Kai will be attending doggy day care as much as possible. He has become less anxious and has become much more social with other dogs.Comment from Lynda M. of Bay Area Pet Pals 10/3/2011

It's always stressful when I have to leave my two cats when I am away. Since I moved to the area and found Bay Area Pet Pals, I can now be away with a peace of mind knowing Lynda will take good care of my kitties. She is friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. She even emailed me photos while I was gone. I highly recommend Bay Area Pet Pals!

We have been using Bay Area Pet Pals for almost a year. They have been very accommodating to last minute requests for dog walking. Since I work from home, we only need dog walking when I am on business trips or when we are on vacation and our daughter is watching the dogs but working in SF during the day. I have called up the day before an unplanned business trip and they have always been available to walk the dogs. Our dogs seem to really like them and we always get a text after the dogs have been walked. I would definitely recommend them.

Lynda is amazing. I can not express enough how wonderful she is with animals (she prefers them to people). My liitle 10 month old beagle goes to her house for play dates with other small dogs. He is pooped at the end of the day and never wants to come home.
She even adds dog training advice when I need it. If you are looking for a dog walker/playdates/boarder you have found the perfect person in Lynda. Stop searching further on yelp and call her. -

Lynda runs a fantastic pet sitting service. She has been taking care of my fox terrier and 2 cats for the last four months, and during numerous business trips. Although initially I only asked her to walk the dog morning and night, she generously took him into her home during the days I was away. And STILL drove all the way back to my apartment daily to care for the cats.
She's professional, loves animals--and they love her--and never flakes out or forgets to check on anyone, as pet sitters have done in the past. I certainly give her 5 stars! -

Lynda is great! I have a very fuzzy dog that doesn't get along with most dogs but Lynda still managed to help and socialize my dog with others at the play dates at her house! She's very caring, sends updates with pictures and videos while I left my Teddy at her house. Lynda is also very responsive to correspondences and I feel she's a reliable dog sitter that I can count on for years to come :)

I was looking for a service to walk my sweet, but rather large and hyper Dog ,Daisy.
I own my own business and am often too tired after a long day standing on my feet.
I called a few places and they were nice but either couldn't fit me in or were too afraid to take on a Dog that has a tendency to Pull.
I was recommended to try Linda at Bay Area Pet Pals.
She was so sweet and professional I was thrilled! Not only does my Daisy get walked by one of her competent staff members three times a week , but Daisy has become a much easier Dog to live with.
I'm sure it's because of the love, exercise, and direction she gets from her favorite Buddy Tyler...one of Linda's staff.
If you are looking for a trustworthy and friendly Dog Walker, Sitter, or a place to board your pet, I highly recommend Bay Area Pet Pals! They are a top notch operation.:) -

We used Pet Pals for several months for our crazy hyper chihuahua, and they were always great with her. Lynda was also very easy to contact via e-mail or even text message, which we always appreciated.
We ended up switching our dog to a daycare because she's so energetic that a single walk a day wasn't enough, but this wasn't at all a reflection of the service we got from Pet Pals. -

After much hesitation we finally decided to find a dog walker for our Toy Australian Shepherd, Millie. Lynda the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals is so wonderful! She first set an appointment to come to our home and meet Millie and review with us the services they offer.
Now Millie gets a walk and also play time several days a week, and of course she is happier and more relaxed when we get home from work. I would highly recommend you contact Bay Area Pet Pals if you are considering a dog walker as they are the best!!! -

I cannot rave enough about Lynda at Bay Area Pet Pals. I first found her two months back using Yelp to find someone to walk my boss's dog. After just a week I ended up calling her up to walk my dog over a 3-day weekend for me.
Let me tell you...never have I been so impressed with ANYONE in ANY service before. My poor dog was going absolutely stir-crazy in my small apartment (I'd recently moved into a studio and my dog of 13 years had lived all his life in a house with other animals). When Lynda goes to walk him, she sent me a text asking if I'd mind if she took him home with her. HOME WITH HER! She then sent me periodic pictures of my spoiled dog taking over her bed and in other various states of pure happiness. -

How have I not reviewed Bay Area Pet Pals yet?!
I found Lynda when I was in something of a pickle (and ice cream?) at nine months pregnant, new to the area and no one to watch my pets while we were in the hospital in September of 2009 to have our first baby. Lynda came to the rescue, only having the opportunity to meet my two (large, shaggy) dogs and cats two weeks before my due date. Then, when emergency surgery wound up happening, that turned into a one week lead time for a full week of full-time care for my critters.
Text messages with every visit, important details everyday on the well being of my pets and a Christmas card in December were all awesome. My dogs got to stay home while I was out instead of being shuffled off to a kennel like they were for vacations in the past. This made coming home much calmer for all involved.
I don't think I'll do it any other way again!Listed in: The Bay Area

I was very nervous to leave my two little dogs for a *whole week* while I was out of town for a convention.
I found Lynda and BAPP here on Yelp! and chose her services based on the excellent reviews...and I have to admit that her service has lived up to everything written before me!
She was very attentive to my dogs, and got to know their personalities while I was gone. Lynda put me at ease by sending me texts, pics and videos of my pups as daily updates. At $20/day for half an hour visits in addition to other services to make it look like someone is home...Lynda's business is top-notch!
When I leave town again, or once I am in need of a "puppy play group" again, the compassionate care my "furbabies" from Bay Area Pet Pals is most definitely the one I'll be requesting again! -

I travel quite frequently for business.
My dog and my cats ARE my kids. Over the years I have taken them to kennels, daycare type places, and tried a few other pet sitting services that I was not too happy with for various reasons, IE...kennel cough, upper respiratory infections, lack of attention, dirty facilities, seemingly uncaring staff, etc...
I found Bay Area Pet Pals online and gave them a call, they had a really professional, "good feeling" website with lots of great information. To start off Lynda was very professional and immediately made me feel at ease. I had tons of questions and she answered them all for me and was very patient with this very picky pet owner! ;-)
We set a time for her and her son to come and meet me and my "kids". They all actually took to her and her son right away and that is no small feat for one of my cats OR my dog. They got right down on the floor, did a few belly rubs and head scratches and won over the crowd quickly!! She knew her son would be filling in a few days for her while I was gone and she wanted to be sure I met him and was comfortable with him as well as being sure that the pets being OK with him.
She took the time to ask me lots of questions about my pets, their routine, feeding times, toys they like, how my dog behaves out on walks and many others I cannot think of at the moment. She even asked me if I wanted to get daily text messages or emails about how my pets were doing.....WOW- that was so cool, I had never even thought of that!
Bottom line was, I went on my trip, got my daily text message and when I got home I could tell the pets were happy and content. The treats I had left were almost gone, there was tons of hair in the dogs brush and the cats brush, the food and water bowls were very clean and since my pets drink bottled spring water, I could tell she refreshed it daily as the bottle was really low when I got back. My neighbors had even mentioned they had seen her come by a few times and it was at the exact time of day she had promised me she would be there and they said she spent quite a bit of time there.
Since I was not going to be around it was a bit hard to trust someone with your pets AND your home, after all they could not even show up, or just throw some food down and leave...I frankly live in a duplex and asked my neighbors to listen and keep a look out...Yes I am a bit nuts..lol.
I am SO glad I found Bay Area Pet Pals...I also like they are a family run service, they have insurance and take great pride in customer service to their furry and human customers! And as a "mom" I feel better that my pets can stay home in their own surroundings, less stress, & less chance of catching anything like at boarding places!
GREAT SERVICE! -

I've been a customer for a little over a month and am thrilled at having found Lynda. From the start, I was impressed by the information on her website and the fact that she has all necessary paperwork and forms available for customers to download and fill out. The fact that it was so thorough and detail oriented was reassuring. I also liked the fact that she has multiple pets herself, which implies that she's probably seen or dealt with her fair share of animal adventures.
As a new resident to the area, I want to be able to go out and EXPLORE. Being a single dog owner makes it tough to be away from home for hours on end. Peace of mind is a tremendous thing, and I have it when I'm away from home and know that Lynda will be stopping by when she says she's going to so that my dogs can have a potty break and snacks.
I haven't yet used her service for overnights, but am reassured by the fact that she's been so reliable thus far for the daytime potty breaks. Without having to ask, she sends a text message once she's stopped by and lets me know how the dogs are doing.
This is my first experience using a pet sitting service as I was lucky enough to have family members who were wiling to lend a hand up in Seattle. Now that I'm flying solo, so to speak, Lynda's been a lifesaver. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm QUITE particular when it comes to my dogs and I recommend Lynda wholeheartedly. -

We were going to be out of country for a couple of weeks, and while my dog could happily live with my cousin and her dog, my two kitties aren't huge fans. After seeing all the great reviews and reasonable prices, I emailed Lynda at Bay Area Pet Pals to see if she could come once a day to feed and play with my cats. She emailed me every day to let me know how they were and I swear when I came home the house looked cleaner than when I left. Lynda is very personable and has an obvious affection for animals. Thanks so much to Lynda and Bay Area Pet Pals for allowing us longer vacation than we've had in a long time!

Lynda and her staff at Bay Area Pet Pals puts us at such ease when we are away on vacation! I am a fellow pet sitter and met Lynda at a Pet CPR and Pet First Aid class. Her personality is what caught my attention and when it came time to needing a sitter for my own pets, she was the first person I called. She was easy to reach when I wanted to know how my pups were doing and when we got home she left a note saying everything went well.

Five solid stars for this pet sitting service!
They take the time to get to know your pet's care and feeding routine with the goal of keeping their daily schedule and environment the same. Lynda has a very good way with animals and a great energy. She came to meet our pups and almost instantly won them over. The daily text message updates are reassuring and a nice touch! We will most certainly use their services again! -

I am a little late on this review but nonetheless, here it is!
I typically can get a family member, my neighbor, a friend, or my roommate to look after my 2 dogs when I'm away but this one weekend, everyone was gone. Pops was out of the country, neighbors were out of town, roommate was out of state, etc. EVERYONE was busy. I started researching kennels but my dogs have never been to a kennel before. They're also pretty old, not to mention one of my dogs is a pitbull. Some kennels don't allow pitbulls regardless of their temperament. I then started searching petsitting. I called one woman but it didn't work out very well. I wasn't quite sure about her demeanor and felt she was a little too laxed for me. I'm sure she loves the animals but I just didn't get a very good feeling. I contacted Bay Area Pet Pals 2nd through their website and got a response within the hour. Lynda was incredibly friendly and professional and I just had a really great feeling about her. We had chatted on the phone and she asked a ton of questions. We set a meeting time for her to get introduced to the dogs. They LOVED her and to me thats extremely important. She took notes about their routine, asked great questions, had forms for me to fill out which included rates. She asked for their vets info incase of anything. I mean she asked everything she possibly could about the dogs and their routine. To her its very important to not disturb their routine.
I felt very confident with our meeting. I was only gone over night but had asked her to come and check on them once that evening and once the following morning. When she came to visit, she sent me a text with a photo of one of the dogs. The second visit, she emailed me to let me know how things went and gave me a full report. Best of all she only charged me 23 a visit for both dogs which included a walk. (the walk wasn't necessary but the little guy got a little shy and wouldnt use the bathroom at first)
When I got home, I noticed that the water bowl was completely full and that the treats I had left out were gone. The dogs were excited to see me as usual. I would definitely recommend Lynda and her team.Listed in: My Neighborhood

New to the area in April 2011, quickly found Bay Area Pet Pals through a referral and have been very happy since then. Have used them for a day to the City, a weekend away & an extended trip out of state, they are punctual and caring of your "children" left at home! To us its all about our dog & when we get home Bruno is happy to see us after spending his time with Jonathan yet appears well taken care of and thats what its all about. Lynda is conscientious of her clients & supplies us with an email or picture after each visit which is awesome. We would be happy to refer their services to anyone searching. Lynda and her son, Lars did an amazing job walking our two dogs for us while we were away for 5 days last week! Lynda is very attentive and takes notes on everything you would like to have done while gone. She takes a detailed history on each of your pets including contact info for your vet if needed! Lynda sent me two texts per day updating me on how the dogs were doing while we were gone.....I really loved that....very professional, great pet sitting service!

There is nothing harder for a dedicated, caring pet owner than having to leave their pet when they travel. I needed to travel for business and I live alone with my cool little poodle who has never been away from me. I was worried about him and looked into boarding him. I took him to a boarding place to try doggie day care first to see how he took it, and frankly, he really wasn't into it. First of all, he thought he was at the vet, which was bad. Then he wasn't into playing with the other dogs, so I thought, what's the point?
So, I looked around and found Bay Area Pet Pals. I loved Lynda's website and felt that I was going to be dealing not only with a professional, but someone friendly that I would want watching and playing with my dog.
I booked Lynda to come 3 times a day for 4 days while I was out of town. Kirby, my dog, was quite happy when I came home, but not stressed or freaked out at all. Lynda took him to the dog park during the day, which is right around the corner from me, and came over morning and evening to walk and feed him.
The next time I traveled, she decided that Kirby was such a good little boy that she asked if he could come over to her house during the day and hang out with her chihuahuas. I said 'heck yeah!'. So, Kirby got the royal treatment. He still stayed at my house at night.
This went so well that I had Lynda start coming over for mid-day walks for me while I am working. She takes him to the dog park and brings her little dogs so that they can play together. He really has a great time and I feel very secure that Lynda is taking as good care of him as I would and I don't have to stress those days when I can't make it home mid-day due to meetings.
Now when I travel, she often takes him to her house for an overnight. He is learning how to leave her cats alone and I don't have to worry about him being at my house all by himself at night.
Lynda is professional, friendly, and does what she says she is going to do. I never have to worry about my dog when I travel. Working with Lynda is WAY better than boarding my dog, and WAY better than hiring someone who isn't really doing this for a living.
If you want a professional, caring, responsible person to watch your animals in your own home while you are away, look no further than Lynda at Bay Area Pet Pals. You will not be sorry, and your pets will thank you for it! -

Lynda is so wonderful. We have a 10 year old cat that is very moody, narcissistic yet so cute. Lynda dealt with our moody kitty so well, groomed and fed him while we were away for 10 days on a cruise. Lynda also stayed in regular communication with me providing updates on how our cat was doing.

We love Lynda! I read the reviews here before contacting her. She came to our house, met our dog, who she would be walking, but also met the cats and it was apparent right away that she LOVES animals.
So, it has been two weeks since she started walking our Min Pin, who is not an easy guy at first, until he feels comfortable with you. She has been patient, kind and loving. Today was his first group outing and she sent me video tonight and Chepe looked like he was having a BLAST!
Also, she went above and beyond when she called both my husband and I (after she couldn't get a hold of me) because the wind had blown the kitchen door closed and our oh so dramatic Loki was locked in the kitchen screaming to be let out. She asked if there was a reason he was in there or if she could let him out. This just goes to show that she truly cares about all of the critters in the house, when someone could have easily turned a blind eye to his situation.
I was nervous about the whole thing until we met Lynda, then all worries went by the wayside, my husband and I could not be happier with her and it feels great knowing that not only Chepe, but even the cats get love and of course treats during her visits. ; )
She is truly the best and we'll be using her services for both our dog and cats with total confidence that our kids are getting the best care around! -

i love bay area pet pals!!!
we were really worried about going back to the east coast for thanksgiving because i've never left my cat entirely alone--especially not for 4 days. so i contacted Lynda at bay area pet pals and she said they'd be happy to feed and play with the cat for each day that we were away (for only $25 a visit, a lot cheaper than any kennel!)
our cat has some medical problems (which added to our anxiety) and has to be given a specific amount of medicine with each meal. while we were away, Lynda diligently fed the cat, following our instructions to a T. she emailed me daily to let me know how the cat was doing, which i really appreciated. upon my return, the cat was as healthy as ever! there were absolutely no problems at all! i was so, so, so grateful to Lynda for taking such wonderful care of her.
most importantly, i got sick and had to delay my return by two whole days. i emailed Lynda and within two minutes she had emailed me back to let me know that she'd be happy to feed the cat for 2 extra days! it was so reassuring to have the cat under her care. i highly recommend bay area pet pals! we are definitely going to use them again! -

Is there a 6th star somewhere I can give, 5 isn't enough?! Lynda has been amazing; we'd used other boarding places for our two Siberian Huskys but we knew they didn't really like it that much and would much rather be at home. Troy has taken care of our 2 dogs several times now and we think they now like him more than they do us! Lynda runs a professional, trustworthy and affordable service. She understands how hard it is to leave your pets home when you have to travel (usually fro work in our case) and makes sure you feel at ease and are kept up to date several times daily with how they are doing. She has even sent photo's and videos of them playing: she and her team take fantastic care of our dogs and we are now very comfortable when we are forced to have to leave them home for a few days. Fantastic, understanding, personal - Lynda has always been available when we've needed even last minute care.

We use Bay Area Pet Pals every day for a mid-day walk for our 2 high-energy, mischievious dogs (springer spaniel and mystery mutt). We called in the help of Lynda, Lars, Meghan, and the rest of the team when we added an 8-week old pup to our already crazy 3-year old dog. The beauty of Lynda and her team is that I trust them completely with the house and dogs, can almost set my watch by the confirmation text I get from her each afternoon, and know that if any issues arise, she will get in touch with me (sometimes by several methods) immediately. Example: I got a text message and phone call on a day where our puppy was *obviously* having tummy troubles. Poor stinky guy... They also alerted us when the PG&E meter reader was at the house on an off-day.
She has also been a great reference for training tips, since our second one isn't nearly as smart as the first one was (but so lovey.)
Bay Area Pet Pals is reliable, responsive, and makes 2 dogs with 2 working pet parents possible for us. -

Lynda is just great. She always responds promptly to phone calls and emails, and she's always been able to accommodate my requests. When I leave my pet bird in her care, I feel confident that she'll take care of him as promised and he'll be happy and healthy when I get home. She also sends daily updates by text message or email, which is nice for paranoid pet-owners like me.
