Great boxes!! We got 50 boxes for 70 and I called Warren at 10 am and we are looking at our boxes at 3pm - Same day! Lucky us he was on his way to the East Bay today and had enough room to bring us our boxes right away.
Wow, after our moving company quoted us a price of $240 for boxes. I looked on other sites and then found Warren at Bay Area Box Express. Glad I found him.
Nice guy, great boxes, if we need more we will be calling him back! -

If you've never moved in SF, you might not realize how hard it is to find cardboard boxes when you need them. When I prepared for my first move in SF, my usual box finding trick of poking around the back of a liquor store yielded a lot of interesting things. Boxes, however, were definitely not one of them. I also scoured grocery stores, furniture stores, basically anywhere you might find an empty box, but with no luck.
Where had all the boxes gone? My theory is that there's a conspiracy involving a large national moving chain (hint: their name rhymes with "U-maul") sending scouts out in broken down pickup trucks at night to sweep up all the discarded cardboard in this city. Then, with the "supply" side of supply and demand economics cornered, they can charge through the nose for their boxes. Luckily we have one brave man fighting against this shadowy cardboard cartel, and his name is Warren.
I've used Warren for two different moves now, and both times the service was stellar and I ended up with way more boxes than I could use (one of the best problems you can have when moving) for a price that can't be beat. I've recommended him to every friend I have who's moved in the last few years, and no one has been let down yet. Neither will you. -

All the 5 star reviews are true. I researched local places and found that Warren had the best prices, by far. His website is complete and informative. I called him and had the boxes two days later, delivered on a Saturday in SF. The process was super smooth and easy.
Warren is so professional and just so nice. I would definitely use his business again and highly recommend it! And his dog is super cute and sweet. -

Warran is top-notch in terms of price, communication, service, product, delivery and personality. He delivers exactly as promised, above and beyond even.
I phoned in an order on Monday evening and it was delivered by noon on Wednesday. Warren helped me load the supplies from my driveway into the lift, threw in a free box and took the tax off my bill since I paid in cash.
Warren is genuine, polite and friendly. A really lovely person to be around. I am a first-time customer and at no point did I ever feel nervous about the order yet was never inundated with loads of phone calls/emails. Communication was prompt and polite and super on point. I won't be shopping elsewhere for boxes for as long as I'm in the Bay Area. The quality and price of the products are perfect.

I called Warren to get boxes and moving supplies for my upcoming move and he was nothing but helpful from the start. I initially reached out to him to see if he does actual moves, which he does not, but he recommended Spartan Moving Company as a reliable/well priced option. I ended up going with them and getting a 5% discount for the referral.
I never thought I'd save $ during a move, but Warren's moving supplies are really affordable and in excellent condition. He even threw in some complimentary boxes and fragile labels, knowing full well that I was underestimating how much stuff I would need. I'd suggest looking at his website prior to deciding what you think you need to see what he offers. I got mattress bags, sofa covers and tape for much MUCH less than I would have paid at somewhere like Target or U-Haul.
Warren does not buy back used boxes, but suggested that I could sell them on Craigslist for about half of what I paid for, which (lets be honest) is just fine to get them out of my new apartment!!
Aside from his prices, Warren (and his dog Tony who comes along with him) was very VERY nice and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is getting ready to move. -

Wow. This is how businesses ought to be run. Warren was kind, knowledgeable, generous, easy to reach... and on and on. I called on New Year's Eve. He answered, talked me through everything I needed to know, offered to deliver my purchase to my address, followed through on that delivery within three hours (that very day)... and recommended three great moving companies. I am exceptionally grateful for his remarkable service. It seems increasingly rare these days and truly means a lot.

Called Warren today and luckily he was in the city and had what I needed. Within an hour and a half of our phone conversation, he was parking his van with his co-pilot dog, Tony, and unloading the boxes.

When I say "I know a guy who can supply boxes", I mean Warren! I am on my third batch of boxes to move our house. Every time he has provided extra boxes for free and we have met twice on weekends in Golden Gate Park when he is walking his dog. He always has a good amount of boxes in his van so you can call or e-mail him and get what you need. Cash is best and you'll always get some extras from Warren. I like how he also has packing paper and bubble wrap.
Having the same size boxes that are new or used just once is a real benefit. Don't go get produce boxes - get what you need from a great source. -

Warren is so helpful that it just makes the painful process of packing all your dang junk up for a move more pleasurable. I called him on a Tuesday, and we made arrangements to meet the following Saturday in the city for a box exchange. It was effortless. He kept in contact, letting me know his schedule, and where I should be. He helped me decide which package to get and he was exactly right. He threw in a couple of extras and it was so very appreciated. The tape he sells is strong and his dog is adorable. Thanks Warren!

When I saw all these positive reviews, I thought, "Oh, I get it -- moving is such a horrific, soul-crushing experience, fraught with businesses looking to prey on your desperation and exhaustion, that even a *satisfactory* transaction would probably feel like winning the lottery while getting a massage and eating cupcakes in space." Hence all the positive reviews.
As has been known to be the case, occasionally, I was dead wrong. Warren is friendly and accommodating, upbeat and generous. And he has a charming dog that will saunter about as the boxes are unloaded. Oh, and: The boxes were all in great shape, too. And a great deal, at that. If this were an Ebay review I'd say something along the lines of "A+++++++!+!++!1!1!! SELLER -- WOULD DO BUSINESS AGAIN!! YAYWOO!" -

Awesome. This is moving made easier. No need to go to trashy u-haul stores, wait in long lines, lug your own boxes home and pay a premium. Better even many boxes are lightly used by retailer adding to the green feeling. The owner is very on top of it/ responsive/ prompt and organized. An excellent experience top to bottom, don't think of getting your boxes any other way and remember to reuse them.

Wow! I am always skeptical about many positive reviews, I always fear it is the owner writing review after review so I always check how many reviews the reviewer wrote...anyway, enough about my neurosis.
This was a great great deal! And the boxes are all in great shape! Gone are the days of trying to be Green and hunting around for used boxes, now I can save time (time=money) and get overstocked/misprinted boxes for cheap!
I saved the delivery fee and picked up the boxes only three blocks away from my apartment. Service was super friendly!
Don't hesitate buy your boxes now! -

I needed boxes to move and did not want to spend a fortune. I was referred to box express by my movers Birch Circle. I got what I needed and much more!
The service was amazing. Warren showed up at my home the morning of the packing. He assessed what I needed and gave me those boxes at such a great rate! He was friendly, helpful and honest.
I will never get boxes from anyone else. His box packages are super reasonable. Especially with the cost of moving it is such a joy to be able to afford boxes. -

Great services. I was looking for boxes online and found this place by accident. I got the Studio box package: 50 boxes of various sizes for $70. Great price! They delivered the boxes to us and even gave us free boxes. And the doggy is such a cute helper.

I spent $97 on boxes with Warren. For that much at UHaul, I would have gotten 1/4th of what he provided me with.
The bottom line is, you can't beat his prices. He's an extremely nice guy to do business with, and he'll either bring them to you, or meet you somewhere to save you the extra money. I met him up in San Rafael and the entire process was so smooth and easy. He even threw in extra boxes, fragile stickers, and protective foam covering for my glassware. Would U-Haul do that for you? Clearly no.
Given the fact that I'm moving out of the state in two days, and it's going to be a very expensive move, you can't beat the fact that Warren is here to provide you what you need, at the best prices in the Bay area.
For ANY box needs, I'd recommend going with Warren. He even bought his adorable dog, Tony, with him. Which might I add, is a great little business partner :) -

Great service. Warren accommodated my schedule, showed up on time, and even threw in a few extra double walled boxes. I've moved 10+ times in my life, 3 times back and forth across the country with large-scale interstate moving companies and this is the best box sales service I've encountered so far. It's especially handy given I don't own a car. Wish this service was around the last time I moved...

I had resolved to pack THIS weekend. IT HAD to be done... or else i'd never get around it! After going through a couple of wild goose chases around the city and online, there was just no way I would be able to gather the boxes i needed without tearing my hair out in the process.
Enter the Boxman.
Very accommodating. Communicated very well via phone and email. And always with a smile. Did not call me out for changing my order the night before (and past 10 pm no less!).
The quality of the boxes are good and definitely not flimsy. And since I met him on his route, I saved on the delivery fee! (which I in turn bought a good roll o' bubble wrap instead).
Great service and couple of freebies too (tape and mini-boxes). If you're moving, give this guy a call. Now i'm all ready to start packing... once I get offline that is. -

OK, so moving is about as fun as getting a root canal. And since I've never gotten a root canal, this is the most painful process I know.
As I embark on my cross-country move, Boxman has provided a little bit of sunshine in the overwhelming process by providing a extremely reasonably priced, eco-friendly, convenient way of getting all the supplies I need - various types of boxes (tiny boxes to pack within boxes, small for books, medium for housewares, large for clothes and linens, extra thick/sturdy for dishes and thin rectangular ones for pictures), bubble wrap, and packing tape. He even asked me if I really needed the 'dish kit' to save me some $, probably (correctly) figuring from my vibe that I didn't have any fine china to protect. Finally, he threw in some extra boxes for free. And he has a really cute little dog that drives around in his van delivering boxes with him (well, that scores points with me, at least).
Thanks Boxman for making this move just a wee bit more bearable! -

Warren the Boxman is terrific. I called him the night before, he made great recommendations and arrived promptly at the time and location we arranged. Then when I was still undecided he worked with me until I had exactly what I felt I needed. The boxes couldn't be better and not only am I recycling perfectly good products, they're cheap.

Warren and his co-pilot dog, Tony, showed up at my house with all the boxes I ordered on a blustery, gray and very rainy day. Despite the horrible weather, he showed up when he said he would...
I would not have had room in my car for the boxes... so I was very appreciative that he delivered... and the boxes and packing materials are all great. Warren was terrific... prompt, helpful... he called to let me know he was going to be a little late due to the weather... we chatted a little about his business when he arrived... and he even got around to recommending some books for a project I'm tackling. He's terrific and his customer service is great! Absolute kudos! -

So....I'm skeptical about on-line adds...after I found Bay Area Box Express on Craigs List...I went to yelp to get the low down. A lot of really good reviews so I called and got Warren first couple of rings. This guys communicates really well, and his customer service- AWESOME! He had what I needed AND.. made a point to get my boxes to me the same day even though he had no deliveries in my direction. I had to meet him, but his commitment to excellent customer service was like no other. Fast, easy and the quality of the boxes far better than what you would get at our local Uhaul and the cost was about 60% less!. If your moving and in the Bay Area or surrounding counties...you just cant beat Warren's deal. Thanks Warren!!!!

Warren delivered my boxes right on time. I spaced out while feeding my son and forgot to keep my phone near me for our arranged drop-off time. Warren came back a full hour later to drop off the boxes despite my flakiness. He was nothing but kind and patient upon arrival. He also lugged all the boxes up 4 flights of stairs with his trusty dog companion trailing behind him. I highly recommend Warren for all your boxing needs.

CHEAPEST YOU WILL FIND IN THE BAY AREA! This guy is awesome. He will cater to all your needs, from boxes to double boxes, tape, dispensers, markers, packing paper and bubble wrap. he threw in some tape and dispenser for free and extra boxes at no charge! He was very accomadating to my schedule and was even early to our meet up. He got me my boxes and i was on my way! met his dog too!

Moving is so damn stressful, so many little things to consider. I'm sure the Yelp staff can attest that I turn to into a neurotic mess when such cirumstances arise. Thanks to Warren at BABE (what a killer acronym, he's evidently a clever one) and his little dog Tony, preparation was much, much easier than I anticipated. I hopped online, ordered the boxes and supplies I needed and they were delivered promptly several days later.
The boxes are pre-recycled, meaning slightly used, but def not dump worthy, and half the price anywhere else so you can feel good about that too. For all those holiday gifts you'll be mailing out, it'd be to your advantage to get Warren on speed dial. -

(I hope I don't jinks my move by giving 5*s to my first moving review.)
Warren and Tony are the BEST!!! I phoned on Friday afternoon wanting about 50-60 boxes and all the fixings. Hubby had been buying them from a storage place and Box Express had the same boxes (without logos) for almost half the price. I had to find a better way.
Then I found Warren.
He worked with us to find a time to meet up as soon as possible. The next day, we were meeting at a parking lot in Emeryville, exchanged boxes for money, got a few extras for meeting him instead of delivering, and hung out with Tony (who is the SAME breed as our Yelp dog Willie).

What a fabulous service!
I moved almost 2 weeks ago, and this business made it SO MUCH EASIER for me.
Like everyone else, I scoured the used boxes on Craigslist and did get a good selection of boxes, but it's a tiresome process. People would just leave boxes out on the curb, and basically, by the time you get there, they may or may not be there. What people consider medium turns out to be mini-small, or what people claim to be large turns out to be large enough to store sofa, etc. Frustrating - and totally not my style. After a couple of days, I did what I do best - - SHOPPING.
Bay Area Box Express is not just a good idea, but a strong business.
First - Warren is great. It's easy to do business with him, and he's punctual and delivers as promised.
Equally as important, though, is that their product is absolutely great. The boxes that I ordered (large only) were of superb quality. All of them held up perfectly through my move, from the heaviest to the lightest. I ordered 10 pounds of wrapping paper from them also, which was of the highest quality. (It turned out I had a lot more china and fragile items than I had imagined - - next time I will order the 30 pound option.) I also ordered box tape - and this was perhaps my only complaint. The tape is thin and flimsy, and not the kind I like to use on boxes. I managed by taping 3-4 times over each box, top and bottom, but I'd recommend buying tape from Home Depot or Staples unless he changes his selection.
He offers delivery for a $15 fee. That's not a small delivery cost for boxes, but considering his distance, it's reasonable. It becomes VERY reasonable if you order all the boxes you need for your move, whereas I was ordering only the large boxes I needed for my move. He helped me with the boxes all the way up to my apartment which was much appreciated. It turns out 30 large boxes is a LOT so it was $15 well-spent.
His web-site is easy to use and CLEAR. What you see is what you get - and prices are reasonable. There are no hidden fees, and what you order is what you get - - on time, and in excellent condition.
Lastly, his cute dog comes along w/ him. I love dogs, and this one brought a smile to my face. He's the cutest little thing, ever.
For my next move (if ever I decide to do this again) - I will forego Craigslist and just call Warren to arrange the whole thing. The extra you spend to get GOOD, STRONG boxes is worth it.
Seriously.
If you're moving - call Warren and get your boxes here. Get your wrapping paper here, too, and save yourself the hassle of washing all of your glassware and china amidst unpacking by using clean wrapping paper.
I had some 150 boxes to get rid of once I was done unpacking. I, unlike others, just posted an ad on Craigslist 2 days prior to my move offering all the boxes to the first person to come and pick it up from my apartment. Lucky for me, and lucky for them, I had one person who wanted enough to move his 1 bedroom, and another who wanted the remainder, so we picked a day five days after my move when they came and picked it all up and cleared out my house. They got lucky in getting the all the used boxes from Bay Area Box Express, which were still in great condition to reuse at least 2X more. Doing it this way also motivated me to get it ALL done prior to the pick-up day, and gave two people security in knowing they had a certain number of boxes secured for their move.
I give this business my HIGHEST recommendation.

There are many, many benefits to not owning a vehicle in the city. There are also a few minor inconveniences - like figuring out how I'm going to acquire all the packing materials I need to move. Luckily, one of the joys of city life is that if you have a need, any need, someone has started a business to relieve it...
Bay Area Box Express saved me time, money and effort with a painless transaction on a sunny Saturday that left me with all the packing materials I need.
And I must stress - one of the best parts was how much money I saved. The basic boxes were a great price, but the dishpacks - I cannot believe how inexpensive the dishpacks were! Everything else, from packing tape to newsprint, fell under the heading of 'won't break the bank'.
The website says to call in your order, but I wanted a non-standard package so I emailed it in and was called back the next day. Delivery took a bit of negotiation since most deliveries take place midday during the week, but there's a weekend option. And making changes to the standard 1-bedroom box order was painless.
One item of note - there's a silent partner in all this. Tony the small white dog accompanies delivery on every order so if you have pets yourself, be prepared. He is however as polite as his owner.Listed in: Moving On Up
